Contacts: Statements - Allow to be sent to Contact Groups
Ability to send statements to contact groups.
Purpose: To make users’ easier to send statements rather than sending it individually.
Hi everyone, it’s great to hear the use our customers find in Contact groups on Xero. We can totally get wanting to enhance the use of contacts and bulk send statements to all members of a group at once.
In lieu of this functionality right now, you could manually filter and select contacts from your list before sending statements.
With sights set on helping our customers collect payments faster, we have a team that is looking at work in the reminders and statements space and sending to contact groups is being explored as part of this. For the time being we'll move this idea to In discovery and I'll keep you looped in on any progress that could help needs here.

This is a simple function and it is unbelievable that it isn't available? I can't believe it, as one of the main reason I jointed/ subscribed into Xero was to use such function because my business has clients that has multiple branches. This is ridiculous.

Sadly, I have been asking for this since 2013. I was looking to come back to Xero but still many issues are unresolved. The other issue I have is dealing with companies that have multiple branches. Anyone know how to have a "Group" with multiple branches and delivery addresses and hence, only want "ONE" statement of ALL the branches activities on the ONE statement. Currently the head office will get individual statements of EACH branch.....Sigh""""""

Posting the again. How to do it! Because Xero can't be bothered:
OK guys so Xero removed the 2 clicks instant statement for groups for some reason completely beyond my comprehension but you can actually still create a group statement. Here is how:Click Accounting Tab
Click Reports
Click Receivable Invoice Summary
Select month or months for statement.
Click on Filter
Click Contact Group
Enter the group name (Xero won't remember it so spell correctly)
Click Apply
Click UpdateAnd there is all is.
Edit what columns you need and update.
Download to excel.
There is often no total showing on the spreadsheet but it shows on the pdf, so you need to enter that into excel.
You can make your own edits from there.You could have posted this yourself Xero wtf!
I mean 2 clicks in exchange for all this work! -

What's the point of being able to create Contact Groups for Invoicing but not able to use the same Conact Group to send monthly Statements?????

Xero: Sending Client statements to specific groups in bulk - to be able to change the filters when trying to email the statements in bulk.

We need to have a combined statement of accounts for customers. We are a medical practice and sending individual statement of child 1, child 2 and parent 1 and 2 separately does not make sense. All of them should be shown in a single statement of account with a field to show their individual names.
Please expedite the development of this feature in xero.

This will be a huge improvement. I work with close to 9600 clients and they get billed at different time, meaning statements is sent only when they've been billed.
So now I have to manually select clients and send statements. And they are not always close in sequence to be able to select multiple.
The functionality is already there that contacts is grouped, just add the grouping option on the statements screen. -

With this facility we could customize an email template to go out to the various groups; gentle reminder, harsh reminder, etc.

We have thousands of customers and this feature would totally change how we manage our statements being sent out. Please make this a priority. It is unfortunate that you have not already done this.

Still needing this in Oct 2024 because invoices don't have the ability to display a Customer Account Balance.
