Customer Statement - Automated statements for contacts
This is really for Xero Blue not practice manager, but you do not have a category for this,
Automated client statements - have the option to send out our practice statements on a regular basis i.e. weekly or fortnightly regardless of the days due or overdue!
Hi community, we understand the appetite surrounding this idea and how automation of customer statements could have a big impact on your efficiency and free up a lot of precious time to do more valuable tasks. As noted in my last update this has been high on our product teams radar and we wanted to let you know that we're now looking into how we might leverage Invoice reminders as a means to solve for needs in this idea.
Very early in the teams discovery at this point, but we'll share further updates with you here.

Adding this feature doesnt appear to be a difficult build for Xero based on the auto reminder function for overdue invoices.

It would seem most sensible to simply add this as an option to the Invoice reminder system - ie. automatically send a statement (by way of a polite reminder) on day 1 of an invoice being overdue.
The mechanism is already in place...why not extend it to sending statements rather than invoices ?

Can this be automated with a third party App in the meantime? For example, when final payment is received Zapier or Make triggers the send statement or download from Xero and send via email?

Please please please get this done. As other users have indicated, this is one of the most basic functions of an accounting system. We kindly request that all of these other updates you're making (which don't have a major bearing on productivity) are no longer prioritised over this one! Please!

Apparently SYFT Analytics can deliver Supplier / Customer statements emailed each period direct to Contacts.

I live for the day Xero listens to what their users want rather than focusing on updates that actually add very little to productivity. In an age where we are all resource and time poor something as simple as not having to worry about manually sending out statements each month would make a huge difference for a lot of people...on both sides of the transaction! Check your priorities Xero!

In 3 years, you are not able to do a simple thing like this and force uas to pay for add ons. It's actually bordering on ridiculous. As the previous poster said, the mechanics are there. Stop focusing on the pretty stuff and make sure your core functionality works.

As a developer, I simply cannot believe how you haven't done this. It would take so little effort. You have the email templating mechanism already on invoices, you have automated sending mechanism already on invoices. Cut, paste, update and ship it.

xero...."lets just increase our charges and give our customers stuff they don't want whilst also increasing their work load for no reason. Whatever we do let's NOT give them what they ask for!"
I really need month end statements. I do not need 'duplicate bill'.

JAX is saving me so much time that I'm now able to hand write statements and post them to customers every month which they really appreciate. I'm so pleased the product team chose implementing a pseudo-AI search feature over this basic functionality that hundreds of customers have requested.

Email sending features in Xero are useless until this is resolved.

Interested to know what alternatives folks are exploring. Moving platforms feels like quite a big process which I guess Xero rely on to keep us stuck here.
I'm paying £8 for Statey.app but it's not quite what we need as some customers want fortnightly statements and that's on the £40 plan which would make Xero + Statey pretty much £100 monthly. -

We are now looking at a new platform as this Company really does not give a **** about their customers requirements. The development team should be looking at what your customers really need not fancy stuff that will do no good for the end user. Xero will be losing our business by the end of this year and I hope others follow.

This cannot come soon enough. We’ve been asking for this for years, and if there’s no movement on automating customer statements soon, we will have no choice but to move to another provider. This is a basic function for any accounting platform, and the delay is beyond frustrating. Please make this a top priority before you lose more customers.

We are already paying a monthly subscription to Xero, we shouldn't have to pay a third party a separate monthly subscription for a basic task.
