So we have set up and had a lot of success with email templates in Xero. it would be useful to have the ability to have a default option for each contact (or group of contacts) a specific template for a specific reason eg new invoice or AR. so that everytime we go to email an invoice for example it preloads on a certain template.

    Eg we have a number of clients that only speak read German and/or french so it would be nice to be able to set these contacts to default to use our German and/or French templates…

  2. Love the new contact view. It makes it easier to manage the clients.
    Is is possible to be able to rename the files in Xero that is linked to a contact?

  3. PRIMARY & SECONDARY/OTHER CONTACTS

    Thanks Grace - it would be great rather than editing and reentering information if there was a field titled "Primary Contact" and Secondary Contact for eg where we could just update that field using a drop-down box as opposed to re-entering customer information. It would definitely save a lot of time. Maybe something to add in the future?

  4. Hi not sure if it is available, but can you add WhatsApp to clients? It would be great if one can email and WhatsApp client invoices and statements, directly from the online portal.

  5. I have 4000 archived contacts that I need to restore. Doing them one by one is ridiculous and will take an eternity. Adding check boxes on the side to select multiple to restore in bulk would be an easy feature to add and benefit greatly.

  6. I have a client who is wanting to set up a vendor and queried about the ability to send a form to the potential vendor with information required directly from Xero
    Unfortunately this is not an option at this time but I am wondering if this is something other businesses would use and how helpful this would be

  7. it would be great to be able to have multiple reference numbers for one contact, so that way if you have multiple jobs for one company, it can be under the same name. instead of having to make up multiple contacts for the same person.

  8. When adding a new Customer have a field at that time to place the new customer into a Group.
    Would save time later and enable a better CRM feature for later marketing.

Currently this badge is displayed for the additional people only when there's at least a first name associated with them, but often our "additional people" are only email addresses with no first/last names, an the only way to see whether the "included in emails" option has been enabled for them is to enter two nested edit modes (4 clicks total). This is really unnecessary. Just display the badge if the box has been checked!

  10. Ability: Xero only displaying the unpaid invoice up top under client/contact ----- same as former Xero version - PLEASE change this back it was perfect and it is very much not userfriendly now

    Purpose: quick overview of the account i.e. which invoices are unpaid and what was communicated last

    Current issue: with the new changes all client invoices are displayed on top, this clutters the view and is useless information, the old invoice (old and paid) don't need to be visible on top. The current invoice status is important i.e. what is not paid. It is clutter to display all…

  11. I would like to be able to see Customers and Suppliers on the top bar, without having to first go into contacts, this would make looking up customers or suppliers easier with less delay. I often select the wrong one in error and then it takes even longer.

  12. I would like to ask if there is a possibility of having on suppliers' and customers' activity bar (please see attached screenshot, what I mean) and one more column - bill/invoice description? I used to work with QuickBooks, and they had this feature, which was very helpful.

  13. After reporting a bug (can no longer preview contact files) I was given the following response :

    "As you’ve found, right now it’s not possible to preview contact files anymore. You can however, download it and view it instead.
    I’ve included a link to Xero Product Ideas where you can view and support current ideas or create a new one to share your thoughts."

    When something breaks you fix it. You DO NOT pretend that fixing it is a "New Feature" - that then needs requested and voted on.

  15. To be able to 'pin' a note t the top of the client profile to see a note clearly.

  17. It would save us so much time if there was an option to turn off debtor statements per contact just like we have the option to turn off invoice reminders. That way when sending statements we can bulk send without having to send them one at a time.

    Interesting idea - we'll continue tracking interest here. 🙂 In the meantime I did want to highlight how you can send multiple statements at once and may help some here. 

    While it's not possible to set a default for each contact, you can currently send statements to multiple users at once - 

    From your Contact lists either select all, or just the contacts you'd like, select the 3 menu dots in the top right of the page where you'll see an option to 'Send statements'.

    • When clicked this will take you to the statements screen where you can further refine the lists of contacts you'd like to send a statement too
  18. Could the 'overview' page of the contact show all the contacts/persons associated with a Contact Account, not just the 'first' one?
    We have 2 or 3 contacts/persons on most of our accounts, it would be nice to be able to see their names/emails on the company overview page, rather than having to click into 'Edit' to find these details.

  19. When I am manually entering a contact bank account number, I find it disconcerting to be warned to enter the bank account number after I leave the BSB code field. But I HAVE to leave the BSB code field in order to move to the Bank account number field! Leaving the BSB field is not a mistake!
    I think the warning would be better triggered if you attempt to click on 'Save & close' without completing both fields.

  20. It would be great to have the ability to copy a contact in order to create a new one We often have the same agent representing various clients, and creating a new contact for each one is cumbersome. The option to copy an existing contact (making changes to the name or account number but keeping the address, bank details etc) would be extremely useful.
