  1. Currently, if there was a capital gain rollover exemption in previous year, it is not updating into the future year's returns automatically. We have to manually enter the worksheet again and again for all the applicable future years.

    Please develop a feature that it automatically rollover the worksheet to future returns. Then, it will be more coinvent for the uses.

  2. When we enter into the Fixed Assets screen, the default should be the Registered tab rather than the Draft tab because that is the most commonly used screen.

    Thanks for sharing your idea, Kirsten. It's good to get this understanding from customers on the different flows they would find most useful. This isn't something we have direct plans of right now, but will start to get a sense of interest in setting a default screen here. I'l be sure to let you know if there is any movement around your idea.

  3. When running the account transactions report, it would be nice to add a "reconciled" column when looking at bank accounts. This would make it much easier to identify which transaction is a duplicate or an error that has not already been matched. I know I could run the "Bank reconciliation" to view the unreconciled transactions, but with a client with high volume with integrations creating multiple invoices that are outstanding for a later deposit, this can be messy to review, and I would prefer just seeing everything in the account transaction report.

  5. Account Transactions report - add functionality to group by MONTH so that there is a visible break between the data / transactions shown between (for example) January 2026 and February 2026 (if the report is run for the period 1 January 2026 to 28 February 2026 in this example).

  6. History on Fixed asset settings (the global settings that control depreciation rules) - If any changes are done to the default effective life or rate setting(applied to new assets) Xero does not log those setting changes in the History and Notes. Add a History tab within Fixed Asset Settings timestamped log of “effective life default changed from 5 years to 7 years”. Also if any changes are done to the default settings an option to bulk change all assets changed to the previous effective rate without manually editing them.

    This isn't something we have plans for right now, but make sure to share your idea with others that could benefit and we can get a better sense of demand here.

    In terms of the second request you've made we have another idea around bulk edit of assets that you may like to join and can stay updated of any progress through.

  7. Every new year tax year (1 April) the reports for the previous year that we are still using ie 31 March 2025 automatically change to the 31 March of the current year ie 31 March 2027 and the Last Financial year changes to 1 April 2025 to 31 March 2026.
    In the drop down box for the Pack Date Range Custom would it be possible to add a Last financial year -1 so that it reads the date range for the previous year that we are still compiling for ie: Date range 1 April 2024 to 31 March 2025.

    Thanks for taking the time to explain how you’re using the Pack date range and why you’d like a “Last financial year -1” option. This isn’t something we’re actively working on right now, so we’re moving your idea to Gaining support. This lets other partners and small businesses add their vote and specific scenarios, which helps our product teams understand how many people are impacted and how this should be prioritised alongside other reporting work.

    In the meantime, the best available workaround is to set the prior year using a Custom date range and reuse that report pack where possible.

  9. Dropdown list of Tax Return items.

    Hi Xero Team,

    I’d like to suggest a possible enhancement to the Tax Returns section for easier navigation.

    Would it be possible to add dropdowns (or expandable lists) that show all tax return items within each section, similar to the attached example? This would make it much easier to jump directly to specific items instead of scrolling through the full return.

    For example, having a dropdown list for all income categories, deductions, offsets, and other tax return items would help users quickly locate the exact section they need, especially when reviewing or updating multiple…

    Hi Sailah, thanks for sharing your feedback here. We can see how long lists in tax returns can make navigation harder, especially as returns become more detailed.

    A collapsible or expandable layout could make it easier to focus on the section you’re working on. We’ve moved this idea to Gaining Support so we can continue tracking interest and share the feedback with our product teams.

  10. In Cash Flow Manager (Reporting / Cash Flow Manager), once a Projected Recurring Cash In/Out amount has been entered, you cannot edit the date that it is received/paid in the cash flow.

    You can edit the start- and end-date for recurrence, but the date it is received/paid is locked to the date set when you first added the Projected Recurring Cash In/Out amount.

    Please allow the date that the amount is received/paid to be edited.

  11. Instead of upgrading the homepage, could you at least make it possible for email reminders to be sent to Employers about PAYE due? I'm accruing fines & tax interests because of late PAYE payments. The least Xero could do is send a reminder 3-4 days prior to the due date.

    My accountant only notified me of the overdue payments when he stumbled across the penalties. IRD failed to send me a notice/email/letter about the due payments (I don't know why). So please, Xero, could you please make an email reminder service possible for GST and PAYE of employees? It will…

  13. Being able to print off the reports in the 'edit' mode so you can see the expanded breakdown of the accordian would be very helpful to ensure that Notes match Statements of Financial Performance and Position (especially useful for our juniors who often can't work out where their subcodes are if there have been reporting changes)

  15. Please can Xero improve the dashboard notifications regarding VAT returns so that it shows that the VAT return has been submitted. This would avoid me having heart failure when I log in and see the information below! Our VAT is collected by direct debit, so I know if it is submitted, its HMRC direct debit taking its time, and not my mistake!

  16. I would like to produce an Aged Receivable custom report that includes the NZBN number which is held in a contact file. While I can manually pull two reports and manipulate them in Excel, there is always room for error doing it this way.

From the P&L report when opening a specific income/expense account, the list of transactions under that account shows at the bottom "Showing items" number, this number includes the first line (title) and last two totals, which can be misleading if one wants to count the number of transactions.
    I'd suggest the "showing items" number to only indicate number of transactions.

  18. A way of converting quotes accepted into order acknowledgements and / or delivery notes before creating the Invoice would be helpful. I use a work around with templates, but it shows prices which you don't really need or want on delivery notes and the attachment PDF is still labelled as a quote.

    Hi Rob thanks for sharing this here. We can see how having an order acknowledgment or delivery note upon quote acceptance could be useful to have. We will open this idea up to get more support from the community. Just to add on to your last two points, you can edit the way the PDF attachment shows. You can also create DOCX templates, so that the price does not show. If you require further support with this, please do not hesitate to raise a case with our support team.

    I’d like to share a reporting idea that I think would add a lot of value for finance teams who need a quick, complete ledger-style view of activity—beyond what Aged Debtors/Creditors currently provides.

    The gap today

    Aged Debtors and Aged Creditors are very useful, but they focus on what is still outstanding (unpaid/part-paid). There isn’t an easy way to see all invoices or bills (paid, unpaid, and partially paid) in a single monthly overview, broken down by customer/supplier.

Hi, i think for a team who have targets each week, it would be good to have a report that is a bar graph with the income so far that day, week, month with a line across the bars coming up with a line for average and one for target. The only report that comes cross i could find gave to much info as this is for our admin/coordinators and they dont have access to all the financials they only need the income for the day/week and see if they have met the target.
