Was really surprised to find this is not possible!

As a Xero user, I would love to have the option to automate the downloading of financial reports. Currently, I have to manually download the reports every month, which is time-consuming.

It would be great if Xero could add a feature that allows me to schedule the automatic generation and download of financial reports, such as profit and loss statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements. This would save me a significant amount of time and ensure that I have accurate and up-to-date reports at all times.

I believe that many other Xero users would also benefit from this feature. It would be a great addition to the platform and would make our lives as business owners much easier.

Keen to see this feature. I'd also like to see placeholders similar to repeating invoices to automate date ranges for reports when scheduled for the future. e.g. a placeholder to set the date range to start 3 months ago, finish end of month last month, etc

Being able to email my reports straight out of XERO. Would be very helpful

Being able to Schedule custom reports to email out to various team members would save a lot of time, both in the actual sending and in the setting up of reminders in other systems such as Outlook.
It also creates continuity for staff receiving the reports should the usual sender be away for whatever reason.

Automatic scheduling and sending reports to management teams is critical in running a business - really surprised this hasn't been developed yet..

Again this just shows how much Xero cares about its users. 9 years ago this was requested

I have quite a few reports that I need to run off each week and email to a recipient. If this could be automated that would be great. At this stage, I need to go into the report, run it, export to PDF and then email it. A bit of a pain and I might forget.

Each month we publish the bank reconciliation report and it appears under the Published tab. We add the last 4 digits of the account number to show which account was published. It would be great if this could populate automatically to save opening every report.

Would be awesome to see this as either a feature within Xero, or report generation as an action in the Zapier integration.

If this is a 2014 feature request and Xero is still not able to do in the year 2023 then I am starting to question the skill sets of their development team, shout out to their development manager, wazzup with this feature? Very easy to develop but no one knows how to from your team?

Automatic generation and emailing reports on a regular schedule is an important feature and Xero must work on this. I used few other accounting software and its a normal feature which I don't know why taking this much time here. I can see 2014 comments on the wall but after 10 yrs it's not yet implemented.

This would be v useful for some time reporting requirements. I can create a custom report for the previous week for time spent on a project, but have to export and send via email separately.

It would be really nice to have this happen automatically or just on demand (I.e. send this report to customer contact).

When there are several projects on the go, this can be time consuming and prone to “problem between keyboard and chair” type mistakes with multiple downloads and duplicated/numbered download names.

As our organisation is growing ashflow becomes tight & i need stakeholders to understand where the organisation is at any point in time with frequent updates.

the more i can make this automatic the more free time for analysis & less on running reports.

This is critical, automated reports need to be added please.

oh ok thanks kyle, lets hope that it is something on the road map as it is very time consuming , and also ensuring that data is refreshed correctly when using 3rd party apps. sometimes it can be really frustrating (as good as xero is) when there are simple tasks that can make our lives so much easier and most other systems have these functions.

I’ve seen that too Neil. Sadly schedule in that article basically means a table or list (eg. Schedule of fixed assets and depreciation, schedule of shareholders, etc) rather than a timeline of when reports will be generated.

It’s about time Xero added this feature!

I have been frustratingly trawling through 3rd party apps that link to xero that can generate bad automate reports , when I came across this which states this is available in NZ and AUS but not Uk ?
