Reporting - Hiding archived accounts from chart of accounts list when customising report layouts

Hiding archived accounts from chart of accounts list when customising report layouts, perhaps with a tick box to show or hide the archived accounts. It makes the job of customising layouts so tedious when the old messy chart of accounts come up every time and you can’t hide the archived accounts!

    Having just cleaned up a client's messy chart of accounts and moved literally hundreds of 'dead' accounts to archive, I am flabbergasted that they are all appearing in my report layouts. What an absolute waste of time! You absolutely must be able to turn them off. Xero have so many shortcomings it blows my mind.

    This is my first time work with Xero, I thought Xero had this function and tried figuring out by myself. I am planning to change the layout of COA, please add an option to show/hide archived accounts, that will make lot more easier to maintain the COA.

    This really ****** me off too. Especially with older files and perhaps a business that has changed direction with many obsolete chart of accounts appearing when customising layout. Should be a simple fix?? Surely...get Claude to do it! :-)

    Please can we make this happen, currently working on layout changes for a NFP and the number of archived accounts is enormous!

    This is beyond urgent for the type of work we specialise in when dealing with Private Wealth. PLEASE GET THIS ON THE PRIORITY LIST.

    This would help a lot! Spending time customising reports is already a tedious job and the redundant cost centres adds to the time.

    100% - Such a small item in isolation, but the impact of this on functionality of the Xero reporting is huge.

    We should have control on "archived chart of accounts" to show in report layouts, i believe.

    ALL reports should have the tock box option to hide/show archived and/or inactive items.
    This is an issued not just for CoA but also Pay Items, Employees, etc etc

    It is so frustrating trying to make custom reports with the prior accountants archived COA displaying - please fix this, why can we elect to hide archived accounts in account transactions but not in the reports? so annoying!

    Any action yet ? This is the most annoying feature of Xero that when you archive accounts they just still hang around.

    Oh my gosh. This is diabolical. Please fix ASAP! I am having to view codes that were archived 5+ years ago and navigate around them in my report building, and we are talking tonnes of codes.

    We shouldnt need to have to vote on something so necessary, it should be in place already! agree it is very time consuming when customising report layouts
