interest on MTD
The Mapping on the MTD report currently maps Bank Interest to other property income. This is incorrect as this is not property income at all. This should eb re-mapped so it either does not feature on the MTD filing or appears for review on the Interest tab

Thanks for raising this idea with us Mike, Im happy to say that you can already do this in Xero! You can remap account codes in MTD for IT by going to Tax → MTD for Income Tax → Income and expenses, selecting the relevant tax category, and choosing Manage report codes. Select the accounts you want to update, choose the appropriate report code, and click Map. For more information, see Set up MTD for Income Tax in Xero.
