Attachments to Transactions
It would be great when reviewing ledger (Account Transactions) Reports if there was a small paperclip or some type of icon on each line where there is a attachment attached to the transaction, whether it be a bill, invoice, a spend money or a receive money.

Report templates - Annual Financial Statements, include statutory Tax Computation Schedule
For the report templates, would it be possible to include a tax computation as part of the Annual Financial Statements? This schedule would show the income tax calculation for the year as well as the resulting tax asset or liability at year-end.

Reporting - Show date/time stamp when report was run in header of spreadsheet
Currently, It prints TITLE, COMPANY, DATE/ PERIOD. Please can you add to DATE/ PERIOD 'as @ TIME OF PUBLISH'. This would solve issues where I am looking at two identical spreadsheets but am unable to tell which is up to date.

Account transactions report - Add a Reconciled column
When running the account transactions report, it would be nice to add a "reconciled" column when looking at bank accounts. This would make it much easier to identify which transaction is a duplicate or an error that has not already been matched. I know I could run the "Bank reconciliation" to view the unreconciled transactions, but with a client with high volume with integrations creating multiple invoices that are outstanding for a later deposit, this can be messy to review, and I would prefer just seeing everything in the account transaction report.

GST Reconciliation Report - Save the filed amounts entries
AU There was a discrepancy between GST ac balance at EOQ on the Balance Sheet & the GST refund for the end of quarter BAS. Using the GST Reconciliation report would be a lot more helpful if the Filed Amounts could actually be saved and continuously show the correct unfiled running balance amount and the section "GST Account Summary " for unfiled GST was actually correct as a cumulative balance. I just did 3.5 years worth of GST Reconciliations and nothing saved so all the running balances are wrong and don't flow correctly from one year to the next -…

The new report will automatically pull in filed return amounts, allow you to drill down into transactions, and always show a correct, cumulative unfiled balance. We're in the development phase, and we’re also actively gathering feedback on the ability to make manual adjustments in the new report, which we know is a critical requirement. Profit & Loss - Ability to delete line items when creating custom Profit and Loss reports
Hi, it would be amazing to have the ability to delete certain line items to create custom reports (eg - Profit and Loss). I currently need to export the full report into excel and manually delete the lines, but would be nice to have the option to do this in Xero custom reports

Reporting | Edit report layout - Allow printing from Edit mode with all accordions expanded
Being able to print off the reports in the 'edit' mode so you can see the expanded breakdown of the accordian would be very helpful to ensure that Notes match Statements of Financial Performance and Position (especially useful for our juniors who often can't work out where their subcodes are if there have been reporting changes)

Reporting - Ability to hide Formula Rows in reports if the result is zero
It would be great to be able to hide formula rows in reports where the result is a nil balance. Currently we get multiple repetitive total lines on reports when there is no activity cluttering up the reports unnecessarily.
4 votesHi Kerrin, thanks for raising this. It’s easy to see how automatically hiding custom formula rows with no activity would make reports cleaner and easier to read.
Without this option, reports can feel cluttered. That often means sharing something that looks busier than it needs to be, or exporting the report just to remove empty rows manually—extra work that defeats the purpose of using the report builder.
I’ve moved this idea to Gaining Support so we can better understand interest in more report-level formatting options. If you’re able to comment with the specific reports where this would be most useful, it’ll help other users understand the use case and help the idea gain traction.

Currently both DR and CR amounts show in one column. Would love to see them in their own columns when reporting.Also, a larger description/reference area would be great.

Publishing Financial Statements should automatically select the Organisations Legal Name as first option not the Xero ledger nam
When publishing Financial Statements, the selection defaults to the Xero Organization name as first option and not the organizations legal trading name. Sometimes their trading name or the name they have for their Xero file is not the Legal Name (for example a company might have their Xero ledger name as My Company, but their legal trading name is My Company Limited, so when you publish the reports, if you forget to switch it it prints as My Company, not adding the Limited on the end). Make analytics dashboards available on mobile
Currently visual dashboards are not available on tablet or mobile. It would be good for them to be available for reporting-on-the-run.

Reports - Show Expense Descriptions from Xero Me App in Account Transactions Report
When reviewing quarterly and annual figures from the Profit and Loss report’s account transactions, we currently have to click into each Xero Me app expense to see the description and confirm it’s coded correctly. Expenses entered via bank feeds or bills display descriptions properly in the Account Transactions report, but Xero Me submissions do not.
This inconsistency makes it difficult to quickly identify and verify transactions without drilling into each one. Competing platforms such as MYOB, QuickBooks, and HandiLedger display expense descriptions consistently, regardless of how the expense was entered.

Journal Report - Reversal Filtering and Visibility Enhancements
I would like to request improvements to the Journal Report to make it more user-friendly for accountants and bookkeepers.
Currently, reversal journals and their original entries appear together, which makes the report difficult to read and slows down review during month-end and year-end close.
Please consider adding these enhancements:
1. Preferred enhancement: Reversal Filters
Please add filter options to control visibility of reversal-related journals:
• Show or hide original journals
• Show or hide reversal journals
• View only normal (non-reversal) journals

Reporting: Aged Receivables - Add NZBN number
I would like to produce an Aged Receivable custom report that includes the NZBN number which is held in a contact file. While I can manually pull two reports and manipulate them in Excel, there is always room for error doing it this way.

Cashflow Manager - Ability to edit outflow date for recurring transactions
In Cash Flow Manager (Reporting / Cash Flow Manager), once a Projected Recurring Cash In/Out amount has been entered, you cannot edit the date that it is received/paid in the cash flow.
You can edit the start- and end-date for recurrence, but the date it is received/paid is locked to the date set when you first added the Projected Recurring Cash In/Out amount.
Please allow the date that the amount is received/paid to be edited.

Creditor statement report
It would make supplier/creditor reconciliation much faster if we can draw a statement of a creditor. currently you can only do it for Debtors. The statement should show opening balance, date of an invoice, date of a payment, with a running balance and closing balance.
I have attached an example of how the report should look and a creditor's statement and you can see how easy it is to reconcile, in case you missed to load an invoice or a payment was allocated to a wrong creditor.1 voteThanks for submitting your idea on Xero Product Ideas.
