Fixed Asset - Drafts include purchase documents from when transaction is recorded
Would be fantastic if when a fixed asset purchase is recorded and a document is included with the transaction, this document is also recorded in the draft fixed asset window. This would help as reference when moving the asset from draft to registered.

Filter Fixed Assets By Asset Type
It would be great to be able to filter the fixed asset list by the various categories but especially by asset type.
For example, I have 500 assets and am trying to pick out just the Office Equipment to dispose of 30 assets, but I am having to search for each individual asset rather than just look at a list of the Office Equipment.4 votesHi Laurinda, thanks for your idea here. Having a read this sounds quite similar to the idea across here asking for the ability to search by serial #.
Let me know here if you feel they're close enough - If so, I'll merge to gather this feedback together. 🙂

Fixed Assets | Depreciation - Ability to round to the nearest dollar
Have a choice of rounding depreciation calculations up to the nearest dollar and reporting $ only in the depreciation schedule and other fixed asset reports.
Currently it rounds to the nearest cent.. This does not suit our requirements and so have to prepare our own depreciation schedules outside of Xero5 votes -
Fixed Assets - Prevent posting > 100% depreciation rate
Occasionally when doing data entry in Fixed Assets we have typed a depreciation rate of more than 100%. It would be good if there was an error message preventing this.
Thanks

Fixed Assets - Dispose multiple assets at once
Ability to dispose of multiple fixed assets at once.
Purpose: To save users’ time, because the current process is users need to dispose assets one by one.
424 votesHey everyone, thanks for all your valuable feedback and support on this idea here.
It's nice to see tips being shared throughout this thread to help others managing multiple assets. The suggestion to group similar items (like office chairs or laptops) into a single asset with a quantity can be an efficient way to handle things. When you need to dispose of some, you can then perform a partial disposal by updating the quantity, which helps save a few steps.
Wanting to share an update for you all, although I appreciate it will not be the news hoped for - Developing the capability to bulk dispose assets isn't on our current roadmap. We will keep an active eye on the support this continue to build here and be sure to let you know if anything changes here.

Ability to revalue an asset in Xero.
Purpose: Because some assets need to be re-evaluate. Especially for businesses that holds property with its value increasing
133 votesHi everyone, we wanted to loop back on the outcome of the survey we did. Our product team have used this feedback, and looked into building this feature but at this stage want to confirm that this work is not currently on our roadmap.
As a global business with many requests for our different regions and needs, we are not able to build everything at once.
We appreciate this is not the news you’d like around this but do want to be upfront with you all here to help you make the best decisions as needed for your businesses. If things change, we’ll communicate this with you through the idea here.

Fixed Assets - Partial allocation of depreciation for business and private use
To have the ability to account for depreciation on both business and private portions of an asset.
Purpose: Save time for users to get the correct figures rather than going through manual process.
277 votesHi team, we’ve seen a lot of support for this idea, and acknowledge why you’d like a simple way of reflecting if part of a fixed asset is used privately.
As Xero doesn’t currently offer a built-in way to allocate depreciation between business and private use I wanted to re-highlight from our last update how this can be recorded -
Currently you could post manual journals to record the private use apportionment of a Fixed Assets depreciation.
If you're using Fixed Assets in NZ it's possible to set up an asset and apportion a % for private use. However, it's important to note that it's not possible to apportion the private use depreciation of an asset prior to using Xero. In this case when you sell the asset a manual journal may be needed to correctly state the private use.
At this time, we want to be upfront that our…
