  1. TEMPLATE FOR COMMON SPLIT PAYMENTS
We need to be able to save a split payment as a template (like a bank rule)
eg: registration is always split with gst, no gst etc, let us save that transaction as a template for easy recon next time. Bank rule isnt helpfull as when you have 20 different regos being paid to the same company then a simple split template would be very helpful

Hi team, while we appreciate you raising your idea here. Not getting much community traction overtime, and not being in our current roadmap we will remove this idea from the forums.

While I appreciate it's not solution you're after, to import transactions that match multiple statement lines you could consider importing these as Invoices or Bills.

With regard to the consideration of templates for split payments, one option could be to use the percentage split option in Bank rules rather than the fixed amount.

If this idea is still important and would make a big impact to your business flows, you're welcome to start it again to see if there is renewed interest from the community.

  2. BANK RULES LIST IN ALPHABETICAL ORDER
Just put them in alphabetical order as the default. I don't have time to go through dozens of them and drag them into order.

  3. SAVE FOR LATER section within the Reconcilation page
We should be able to add a transaction to the top of the list to a section that doesnt scroll, another tab or click a button to change its colour to signify it is now in a special section for 'saving for later'.
Sometimes a transaction needs looking into further and when doing recon you might end up with half a dozen of these, it would be really handy to be able to group them at the top of page or turn them a different colour so that when continuing on they…

  4. Bank accounts that do not have bank feeds - Spend money should have a reverse function in case a spend money is used when it is supposed to be a receive money.

  5. As the old 'GoCardless for Xero' integration is no longer being developed.

And the new 'GCiX' GoCardless as a payment service integration is even less functional.

Stripe, Paypal, Tyro and eWay all have bank feeds.

We need a functional bank feed for GoCardless.

Hey everyone, thanks for all the support and engagement on this idea.

To be transparent with you all, building a dedicated bank feed for GoCardless isn't something we have in our plans right now.

While we don't have a direct bank feed for GoCardless, we still want to make sure you can easily reconcile these payments in Xero - When your customer pays, Xero automatically reconciles the individual invoice payments and fees in a dedicated GoCardless clearing account. You'll then just need to manually reconcile the bank transfer when the payout from GoCardless arrives in your bank account.

We’ll be sure to post an update here if our plans change.

  6. I want Xero to automatically set contact names when importing transactions from bank feeds, but this doesn't happen on of my several 'bank feeds' where the 'payee name' is blank and the actual payee data appears in the 'description' field instead.

This means that the option to set the contact name directly from the payee field (when using bank rules) doesn't work and I have to manually enter the contact name for every transaction when reconciling the account transactions. Extremely tedious and labour intensive!

When I edit section 2 of the bank rule the choices on the picklist are 1.…

  7. Set a bank rule that only autofills the contact name - Often the same contact is used for sales or purchases to different accounts. Currently bank rules force you to choose an account. I'd like to set the contact automatically with the bank rule, then choose the account during reconciliation. Saves me typing the contact each time.
ALTERNATIVELY - I saw and voted for another idea that there could be a drop-down list of possible applicable rules, then I could write 2+ rules for the same contact and matching criteria, and choose the appropriate rule. This would be even faster,…

  8. Find and recode should be able to search a date range by who has recently edited transactions within that date range (I.e User 1 edited 3 transactions between 1/7/22 - 30/6/23 on the following dates).

I work on a file where several people attend to different parts of the bookkeeping process, so being able to see who has edited what transactions within a certain date range would be hugely helpful.

  9. I have a client who is VERY mobile active. I noticed on the bank reconciliation page that notes are multiple taps away. On a transaction, three dots, then view note, and then one more click to go back. It was be fantastic if the default on the bank reconciliation page on mobile was to show notes first, like the discuss tab is defaulted to show first on the web application. Then I could instruct my client to view the bank reconciliation on their mobile to see what information I am requesting.

Hey everyone! The ability to manually refresh your bank feed really depends on the type of connection you have. For many banks connected via Yodlee, you can already give the feed a nudge and refresh it manually within Xero when you're ready to reconcile. Some of our direct API connections also support this, with a few even importing transactions in near real-time.

As this feature is only available on some feeds, we've moved this idea's status to 'Gaining Support' to align with our new statuses for Xero Product ideas. You can read more about this on our blog.

While building a manual refresh option for every feed type is not on our immediate roadmap, we're keeping a close eye on your votes and comments to help us gauge demand for future work.

  11. having a monthly average additional column option in the account watchlist would be ideal and I would have thought a default setting that most people would want on their account watchlists...

  12. I'd like to request the integration of a WesBank loan feed, similar to the bank feed functionality. This addition would significantly improve efficiency in managing loan transactions within Xero.

  14. When a client changes from GST registered to no longer GST registered - It would be greatly appreciated if all the rules changed to BAS Exc like it does in Chart of Accounts. Young clients shop everywhere and therefore there are hundreds of rules to edit.

  15. Add a function to allocate transactions in an account against each other so you can easily identify which transactions are making up the balance (e.g. in a PAYE you would allocate the payment to HMRC against the payroll journal).

  16. It would be good if there was a warning if an adviser user inadvertently enters a date in a prior accounting period which has been locked. For example year end is 31 Dec 2022 and a current year bill is entered as 17/11/22 instead of 17/11/23

  17. Would be really useful to have the ability to add Spend or Receive money transactions (overpayments or prepayments) within the mobile app. At p[resent the only options are bank fees or adjustments. So quite often reconciling transactions requiring this type of action need to be left until able to access a full web browser version.

  18. The sort feature in Cash Coding is great, however, not all bank feeds are. I often find I need to remove all the excess data imported in the bank feed before I can sort by payee.
It would be really useful if the changes I make in Cash Coding could be saved so I can work through a page then save.
I know, in a perfect world it would all be imported through Hub Doc, and clients wouldn't put personal transactions through the business or mix receipts from more than one of their businesses. Until we reach that stage the…

  19. It would be amazing if Xero could add the feature when doing a monthly bank rec to be able to choose certain transactions that are putting the month end balance off and may need to be excluded and put to the next month because of posting differences from bank statements. It would be a life saver!!

  20. It would save so much time if there was the ability to drag and drop the bank account order in the bank accounts screen (so it changes the order in the drop down menus). It is very cumbersome clicking the bank accounts up one step at a time especially when you have over 30 bank accounts!
