We need an ability to search by Journal number on the manual jounal feature. This is the only unique identifier for a manual journal, and it should be visible and searchable for users.

On the Manual Journals screen - posted tab - should be able to view the journal entry number and search for that entry number as it's quicker than scrolling by date, the data is in the background and should be easy to display

Being able to search by journal ID would be extremely beneficial and would hugely improve efficiency for my finance team. I am really surprised that this functionality is not already available.

Stunned that this isn't there by default. I'm a new user and don't have too many journals at present but already I'm frustrated that I have to open each journal up to see if I've got the right one!

The journal reference is there, so I should be able to search on it!

Please allow searching for manual journals by ID number. Its very inefficient to have to run a journal report to find the narration and then search by that. Also, it should be possible to click through to a journal from the journal report please.

I agree, please add a filter or column with the ID number. It's blocking smooth process

This is a basic fuction in an accounting/finance system. How is that helpful to find a journal by narrative. If you want to help SME grow, help them with effeciency

Yes, this is a frustration to not find a previous journal quickly when you have the journal number. Also, I'd like to see journal numbers on the Manual Journals landing page.

It is strange that journals have ID numbers, yet there is no function to easily find journals by number. It would make sense to have a feature to search journal by number.

Can you create additional search functionality within the Manual Journal menu option to allow for entering of the journal number - to only allow searching on narration is a bit broad if you have the same narrative for mutiple journals in different periods. Currently I have to run journal reports to then lookup data from the journal number I am looking for. It would be quicker to allow the search parameter of the journal number / ID or the journal narration from the manual journal menu.

Please add journal ID field to manual journal search screen so you don't have to open every journal to get the ID number.

This would be particularly useful for repeating journals. I don't need all the detail shown on the Journal Report; just need the narration/description, date and ID so I can record it against our paperwork.

Yes, please add journal ID in manual journal. All the ERP systems I've used have the funactionality to search by journal ID NOT by description ! And please add a column for Journal ID rather need to click into the journal to see the journal ID. Journal Reports under Reports is not that helpful because when you click the DR/CR account it does not take back to the journal grrr.

Manual Journal Screen you can only sort by date, Narration or Debit Credit.

It would be ideal if you could sort by Journal Number?

Eg, when you have multiple entries for 30th June, sometimes you might want a different sort order , eg the order the journals have been completed in based on their journal number (used in the references).
