Expenses - Claims for International freight
Within Expenses, have the ability to claim International Freight charges. Many freight forwarders charge a credit card for larger values and do not offer direct debit facility. We do not have company credit cards, so it is charged to a personal card and claimed. My only work around is to charge it as a bill to the freight forwarder, then pay the individuals credit card.

An employee could submit a claim for the amount of the international freight charge to be reimbursed by the business. Is there something missing in this feature that would help here?

Spend Money - Prefill last entered transaction
For Spend Money, to help speed up entry:
Prefill the last entry for that Contact. Most venders (e.g. "Uber") will be the same expense type over and over. Having the 1st item prefill from the last entry will save time.
2 votesThanks for the extra detail, Sandy. We don't have any direct plans around this atm, however we're working on automated bank reconciliation which should help cut down the manual entry of reconciliations for spend money transactions overtime.
There is also Bank rules that can pick on particulars of your statement lines to help with reconciling - However, it sounds like you're manually creating these transactions before they're reconciled?

Bank account reporting name
Can a reporting name option be added for the bank account codes in the chart of accounts like other accounts.
Some clients have multiple accounts with the same bank or organisation and nick names are used for them when they are created in Xero - like tax account etc but for the financial reports it is preferred to have the suffix of the account in the name

Add Hong Leong Bank business account (ConnectFirst) support for automatic bank feeds
Xero urgently needs to add support for Hong Leong Bank commercial banking accounts (ConnectFirst) for automatic bank feeds and auto reconciliation. Right now, the Hong Leong connection appears limited to personal banking, which is not useful for many real business users.
For companies like ours, the actual operating account is under ConnectFirst, not personal banking. Without commercial bank feed support, we are forced into manual uploads and manual reconciliation, which defeats the purpose of automation and increases admin workload and error risk.
Please add Hong Leong ConnectFirst support as soon as possible. This would be a high-impact improvement for Malaysian…

Feature Request – Overpayment Query Workflow & Customer Communication
wanted to suggest an enhancement to how overpayments are handled within Xero.
In situations where we receive a customer overpayment that cannot be immediately allocated, the current process requires us to step outside of Xero to contact the customer and clarify what the payment relates to.
What would be highly beneficial is:
A built-in option to trigger an “Overpayment Query” email directly from within Xero.Proposed functionality:
A button/action against an overpayment (e.g. “Query Customer”)
Pre-populated email template including:
Customer name
Payment amount
Payment date/reference
Ability to customise the message before sending

Bank Feed RBC
New RBC Royal Bank Feed Flinks is very cumbersome for 2FA it asks for the code twice. It also cannot see the Line of Credit feeds that has to be refreshed separately compared to the old connector (Yodlee?). Would be great if you could give feedback to Flinks for a faster connection.

Bank Feed Feedback
The new bank authenticator for RBC Royal Bank (Flink) is more cumbersome as it asks for the 2FA code twice and cannot see the Line of Credit accounts. Those need to be done separate compared to the old (Yodlee?) connector. Would be good if Flink could fix this for faster connection.

Bank Reconciliation - Automatic coding of transfers between bank accounts
It would be great if Xero could automatically do the transfer between Xero bank accounts.
This is our most time consuming and often error-prone coding in Xero when it should be a simple fix. Many clients still battle with this.21 votes -

Would be great if users could be directly notified if there is a bank feed disruption or issue for their specific bank accounts.

Restrict reconciliation from initial screen
Option (in Settings) not to allow creation of new transaction to reconcile incoming payment and only allow reconciliation against either existing invoices or from the Match/Create form. We have had a couple of occasions where clicking OK in error on a transaction creates a new transaction that fully reconciles a payment leaving invoices unreconciled and sending overdue emails.

It should be possible to highlight and change spent transactions to received transactions as I have just got to redo 20 minutes work!
I don't think this is possible but it would be a real help to be able to highlight transactions so you can change them to the other column as I've just spent 20 mins on the Spend column when it should have been Received as I forgot to change it at the start !!

Bank reconciliation - Add attachment to Find & Match (multiple match) transactions
When reconciling transactions and Find & Match is used, usually for multiple matches, please add an attachment button.
In the example of one payment matched to multiple sales invoices, there is usually a remittance provided by the client that we need to file with the payment.
We shouldn't need to go back to a reconciled transaction and manually add the remittance to each line individually.132 votes -

It would be help helpful to be able to edit reconciled transactions within the Xero phone application.
I often want to fix something on the go and have to wait until I can get to a computer.

Reconciliation issue
The “Allocate Credit Balance” screen when applying supplier credit notes to bills is confusing and misleading.
The “Amount to Credit” input fields appear inactive because there is no cursor change, highlight, or visual focus indicator when hovering or clicking into the fields. This makes users believe the fields are disabled.
Additionally, the checkbox on the left suggests it must be selected before entering an amount, but it does not actually control allocation behaviour. This creates confusion during supplier reconciliation workflows.
This resulted in unnecessary troubleshooting time and could easily be improved with clearer input focus styling or better checkbox behaviour.

Bank Reconciliation - use the bank feed as a calculator
Use the bank feed as a calculator. Insert tick boxes and select the relevant tick box for money received and/or spent to calculate totals
For example, have a tick function (such as a tick within the Bills section) to add payments into / out of bank account.
The benefit could be to help users reconcile individual payments in the bank account against other ledgers used within the users business whether online or offline

Find & Recode - Find & Recode to recode dates
It would be great if we could recode the dates on invoices - and I'm not meaning due dates. We have holiday programmes running in April and start advertising them in March. Our online booking system sends through the new invoices to be approved at the time of booking. This would be fine except our financial year runs 1 April - 31 March and we have to manually change the date each invoice was issued to an April date. This gets very frustrating and time consuming.

Create tracking categories directly in invoices/bills/reconciliation
The ability to create new tracking categories at the time of reconciling payments or creating invoices or bills would be super helpful. I work for a charity and we have grants to track, and it is annoying having to go into tracking categories to create new ones every time we get a different grant. We have two types of tracking categories - one I've named "revenue sources" and the other named "Budget". To be able to add a new grant to 'revenue sources' at the time of inputting the invoice would be super helpful.
