Bills: Add contact - Enter full details from transaction
Ability to add all contact details needed when creating a contact from a bill
Purpose: Ease of use being able to create, and send invoices all within the transactions screen
Hi team, returning to the idea here there are some updates we'd like to share that may accommodate some users needs here.
You can now Upload bills to your organisation where Xero will read and capture key details of your file to create a draft bill. Saving you manual entry. Once your draft bill is created you can quick view (click the eye icon) and edit details of the Bill before approving including the ability to edit and add details of your contact on the fly.
When editing a contact you'll be able to add or edit details including Contact name, Email, Phone, Delivery and Billing address.
This isn't currently possible when manually entering bills and we'll leave this idea open to continue tracking and updating you through.
I've also created a new idea to get a sense of interest in being able to add supplier bank details on the fly that I'd encourage those interested to vote for.
It's best for us to have a separate idea created for each suggestion and feature you'd like to see that idea developed - Noting some of the feedback around invoicing here we had a previous idea that we updated with some of updates we made but if there's fields not yet available you'd like start a new idea for this that we can track and keep you updated on. To create a bill, you have to navigate to customer->create customer->scroll halfway down a page to input customer details, and then navigate to create bill, and complete the transaction. This is like 4 times as labour intensive as simply transferring money via bank account, and makes all of the increased reconciliatory functionality borderline redundant. Obviously fine if you're paying the same company over and over, but when you work with hundreds of contractors who you pay once, this is a nightmare. The approach to this within invoicing, where you can add customer details inline is elite in comparison. Please bring us this!

The same goes for Invoicing.
There is nothing worse than having to back and forth imputing customer info and then imputing invoice details only to go back again for the next invoice.

When you modernise the bills section, please don't use too much white space.
I want to see as many transactions on these screens as possible, without searching or scrolling -

And supplier bank account details too! It's such a time consuming pain to have to go and edit the newly created contact after creating the bill - you have to keep a copy of their invoice to check bank account details against.

This goes for invoices and quotes as well
