  1. i recently got a new phone and all its photos are saved as HEIC format however everytime i forward this type of image to xero for bill forwarding it fails as xero doesn't recognise the format.

    can you please update file formats asap as all newer mobile devices are moving to HEIC as it is a higher quality file and a smaller size overall, and samsung i found out do not offer an auto change of file before forwarding so it will not be easy to convert back to a jpg or png etc. before sending receipts to Xero

  2. When importing invoices and bills, to have the option to import using the Account Number where specified, instead of the Contact Name to avoid the issue of creating duplicate contact records where the name does not match exactly in Xero.

  3. Please add a setting option or a column for display details about "Account" in the table shown in "Bills to pay" instead of only showing "Ref" which the information of "Account" is important and moreover we don't need to waste time to entry "Ref" for checking.

  4. We need a tick box in the ALL tab section for Purchase Overview Bills - We should be able to from the ALL tab select Draft, Awaiting approval, Awaiting payment, Repeating. You constantly have to go from tab to tab when searching in ALL

  5. We are a retail business. 15 companies and 65 shops across Australia. We currently have 285 different suppliers from whom we buy multiple items without creating purchase order as we order them on phone or online portal. We have Xero just to maintain supplier payments only.
    Now, many suppliers send us periodic invoices means one invoice for multiple deliveries.
    therefore, if we can enter delivery dockets header data only in bills to pay section just for records purpose we can track deliveries and assign them to Invoice once it arrives just like credit notes.

  6. Sort "Bills you need to pay" Invoices by Supplier, then Due Date.

    When I make payments to suppliers, I first sort invoices by suppliers name (A-Z) and then by due date, however, the new update does not keep the A-Z order which means the list is not neat and easy to follow for payments.

    I can currently sort by due date, however it does not group automatically by supplier, so is very chaotic and requires streamlining, especially if there are lots of invoices due on the same date.

    Are you able to amend the programming to allow for this feature?

  8. It would be great if you could also add a scheduled amount to be paid on a bill when you enter a planned date. This would help when you are paying off a bill in instalments and the cashflow summary would be more accurate. Instead of showing the total amount of the bill to be paid it would show the planned amount to be paid.

  9. When we receive a bill from a supplier that also uses Xero we have the option to put it in as a draft bill directly into our Xero. It's very useful feature. But as a partner with nearly 200 clients when we click through it asks us to log in and select which client the bill is for. We used to be able to type the company name (usually our own) but that option has been removed and now I have to scroll down the list of clients until I find the right one.   10. When you print a batch payment to PDF it currently prints the invoices in a random order (not by supplier name, not by date, not by amount, not by invoice number, not by Details -- completely random by the looks of it).

    It would be great if the invoices on this PDF could be sorted in the following order to make the PDF easier to read:
    Supplier Name
    Invoice Date
    Due Date
    Invoice Number

    If you are trying to use this report to check all invoices from a statement have been included, its currently very difficult/waste of time.

  11. Attachments in repeating bills are not attached to the actual bills when Xero creates the bill.
    If the repeating bill is deleted, the link of the repeating bills will be broken and we cannot get the attachment in the repeating bill.

    so I suggest
    1. having the attachment in the repeating bill attach to the actual bill when Xero create the bill; or
    2. have an archive function for repeating bills that are expired so that the actual bill can still be have a link to the repeating bill to find the attachment.

  12. To import a payment file into the bank the user must download an ABA or CSV file from Xero and save to their local drive. This file is then manually imported into the bank - this poses a major data security risk. Xero already supports bank feeds with many large banks so there should be an option to import these payment files directly from Xero into the bank.

  13. But it would be amazing if you could set the FX rate for each transaction on the purchase upload spreadsheet.

    Where you do not add an FX Rate it would default to the daily rate.

    I have to set hundreds of FX rates for each transaction individually, so it would save me so much time.

  14. It would be good to be able to see the bank account details (BSB and Account number) on the new bill screen when entering invoices to be paid. By having the contacts bank details on the entry screen you can easily check that the bank details in Xero match what is on the invoice. This would save time of having to go and open the contact to check that the details match - not to mention save time of having to download the invoice so you can view it while checking against the contact.   15. Would it be possible to create a bill from within the files tab, into a new tab. When you click create bill from within the file tab, it allows you to create the bill but once you click save, it just shows you the created bill. You then have to go back to the files tab and re-find the next file you want to create as a bill. Would be much easier if you could right click and create the bill within a new tab, so that the file tab stays open at all times.

  17. when doing allocation between an overpayment and a bill, if the invoice is dated within a locked period you are unable to do the allocation, it would be good if you could just do the allocation without having to open the period.

  18. It would be good if ''xero bills'' would send a failed upload notification message back to the email that it was sent from if the upload had failed. This would mean that you would know what upload had failed and issue that caused it to fail.

  19. The view box that comes up when you approve bills is utterly useless, you can't do anything with them, I don't see the point. Before the recent changes, when you approved more than one bill, you could click on the view tab at the top of the page and be directed directly to these bills in awaiting payment, from that screen you could schedule them for payment. Now you have to approve them and then go to awaiting payment, search for the bills you just approved, make sure that the bills that come up in the search are indeed the…

  20. With the "new look" bills having been implemented, all the different bill options are under a drop down where you select new bill, new CN, new repeating etc.
    I appreciate that this looks tidier or something, but when you're inputting about 20 CNs, having to go through the dropdown for each of them is really tedious.
    Also: after approving a bill there's an option to add another bill directly, but that doesn't happen if the bill is submitted for approval or saved as draft. Can this be implemented?

    There is also no option to go straight to a new CN…

    Hi there, I know it's been sometime since you first raised your idea with us here, and as you may have noticed there have been a lot more changes within the bills to pay space that improve flows and efficiency in managing your bills.

    It'd be good to hear back if you're finding these changes have improved things for you when entering and managing bills - For example rather than approving individual bills, with the quick view you can now quickly scan the detail and approve single or multiple bills at once from the list view, and with New bill drop down available on this same screen, you can + New credit note without extra clicks.
