Hi everyone, thanks for your feedback on this idea. We appreciate you sharing how important accurate leave accruals are for managing payroll when employees work at different rates across various days or departments.
While we aren't able to add this to our roadmap right now, we want to make sure you are aware that it is currently possible to set up leave to accrue on more than one earnings rate.
As mentioned in this thread, the key is to set the Rate Type for these additional items to "Multiple of Employee's Ordinary Earnings Rate".
Please refer to our support article Set up overtime or earnings that accrue leave for a guide on how to do this. We'll keep this thread active for future feedback.

Hi team, I wanted to share that the recent updates for the Reconcile page have now been released to all users. This includes a search bar at the top of the page and includes filters for date range and amount. This provides the ability to look up criteria of your statement lines and narrow down your search.
You'll also find you can now view more statement lines per page, with up to 50 at a time - You'll find more on this and other updates shared on our blog.
We appreciate the ask on this idea is a search across all statement lines, across all bank accounts. I want to confirm this is not something we have plans for developing at this stage, and I'll move this idea back to 'submitted' so we can continue to track and update you if there is any progress of this, here.

Thank you for the interest and feedback you have shared on this idea, everyone.
We'd like to provide some clarification of what is currently possible which may help some users here, and have slightly adjusted the title with the main request being around the ability to add registered office address as a field to a Clients record.
Within the new unified client experience you can add multiple addresses to a Contact of a Client. While there isn't a specific option for 'Registered office address' you can select 'Other address' or choose from one of the preset (Street, Postal, or Delivery) options.
At the client level, we appreciate individual Contact addresses may differ to the Client registered office address - Our product team are now working to add registered address as a field for 'Company' type business structures and I'll return to share news of it's release with you all here.

Hey community, thank you for your continued interest in this idea.
Wanted to provide an update here as it's been a while since we last spoke to duplicate contacts.
I do understand that, at face value, this seems like a quick fix. However, as the contacts screen interacts with many other parts of Xero, this work can not commence until the modernisation of other, related systems is complete.
Due to this, we do not expect support for duplicate contacts to be delivered in the coming short-term.
In the meantime however, we're keen to continue collecting feedback and votes on this idea, and I will update you here as soon as there's more work to share.

Xero is supposed to be an all-in-one package for our clients but ends up requiring additional software or running spreadsheets to keep on top of things like this. Adding this as a note on an invoice or bill isn't helpful if we are trying to keep track of them.

Hey team, thanks for all your input on partial asset disposal.
We understand that manually managing parts of an asset can be time-consuming. While we don't have plans at this time to develop a built-in feature, your feedback's really helpful in showing us where things could improve.
For now, manual methods to calculate depreciation and record journal entries to keep things accurate would be the best option.
However, this is a feature that we'd like to revisit as we plan our future roadmaps, and will be happy to share if there is any traction around this. Please keep sharing this idea with any colleagues you feel could benefit from this too.

Hi everyone, we'd like to return with an update for all who've supported the idea for attaching files within Payroll.
As we develop foundations of payroll to enable us to consider new features like this, we're beginning discovery of how we might build this capability and when this could be planned in our roadmap.
This is just the initial stages of diving deeper into this work, but steering in the right direction.
I'll be sure to share any progression around attachments within payroll with you all, here.

Hi team, we appreciate the conversation however we want to be open that we don't have any short term plans for changing the export of Manual Journals in the near term.
Not getting a lot of community support over time, this idea will soon be removed. If it something you feel very passionate about you are welcome to restart and see if there is renewed interest from the community.

Repeating Joel's comment from July 2024 as it covers the issues perfectly:
"This is an issue for me as well, multiple employees on different pay rates depending on the day (weekday, Saturday, Sunday, public holiday). The 'multiple of employee's ordinary hours' function doesn't really work as the multiple isn't the same for each employee. This means that you can't setup a pay template as the hourly rate needs to be manually updated every pay run anyway.
Instead, when setting up a pay item there should be the option to tick the 'accrue leave for this earnings rate' box for 'rate per unit' rate types and not just the 'multiple of employee's ordinary hours' rate type. That way Xero would accurately record leave accruals and you could set up a pay template with the correct pay rates for each day, for each employee.
Much time would be saved if this feature worked properly."
It amazes me that this still hasn't been resolved. I wonder how many employees are showing lower leave balances than they are actually entitled to because of this.
