    Hi team, thank you for sharing back with us on the new homepage here.

    Right now we are working on developing some of the widgets to allow more control of the view and information you see. As an example we are developing the Invoices owed to you and Bill to pay widgets to provide the ability to resize and change the information that is shown.

    We will keep you updated on the release of these here.

    Hi team, we wanted to share an update as this will be possible within the new Xero Homepage!

    You'll find with the new Chart of accounts watchlist widget you'll be able to reorder by any column in the watchlist 😊

    You can currently try out the new Homepage in the demo company. I'll be back to confirm when this is live to all users. Thanks!

    Hi Michael, appreciate you re-raising this idea with us and would like to provide some clarification on how Profit or loss widget accounting basis is currently derived.

    This is driven by the organisations Report preferences - Report preferences can only be set and changed by a user with the Adviser role in the organisation so if you do not have this permission you would need to contact another user who does.

    Understand there is also the request for having an independent toggle that can be actioned from the Homepage and we will continue tracing interest for this here.


    In terms of how the idea forums statuses work - When a post is moved to Existing functionality, or Feedback comments and votes are turned off however if you disagree or would like to provide feedback about the response there is an option within the email update you'll have received so you…

    "Please do not close out issues that are NOT RESOLVED. Please allow users to comment on issues that Xero staff consider closed as we may have useful insight on the same request that helps Xero understand."

    Oh god, this is my buggiest of bug bears with the Product Ideas forum.

    Xero decides that something 'isn't on the roadmap' and no one can leave comments any longer.

    But we can still vote!!1! *rolls eyes* Some of the most up-voted items on here continue to be ignored by Xero because it would actually require them to have an understanding of how accountants and bookkeepers work, and doesn't just involve putting a fresh coat of lipstick on the pig.

    It makes me want to hurl my computer into the ocean.

    Hi Lou, a little round about to what you're asking here but our teams are working on an improvement to the sizing of some widgets that I believe will help with the feedback you've shared.

    We're building smaller size of the Invoices owed to you widget which will feature the drafts option beside the graph so it's more visible. 🙂 I'll come back and let you know once this is released.

    Thanks for your suggestion, Karin. Appreciate there are different ways customers find the homepage would work best for them.

    We'll track the interest in being able to colour code cards from your idea here. This isn't something we have plans for atm, but I'll be sure to share if there are any updates.

    Hi YiLing thanks for sharing this idea. Currently Xero allows the ability to use draft returns and the "Estimate" tab for basic scenario testing. For complex scenarios, it is recommended to use ATO calculators and compare results manually. We will move this idea to Gaining support and monitor for more traction from users.

    Hi everyone, thanks so much for all your feedback and support on this idea!

    We know that sometimes you need to create a new account on the go—like when you’re right in the middle of entering a spend money transaction or a journal. But at the moment, you can’t create a new COA account then and there.

    The current workaround is to create the account first from the Chart of Accounts before doing your actual task. While that gets the job done, we understand it’s not the most efficient way to work, especially when you’re trying to keep momentum.

    This idea is now in the Gaining Support stage. We’re keeping an eye on how much interest it’s getting, and your votes and comments help show the value this would bring to your day-to-day.

    Thanks for sharing your idea, Kirsten. It's good to get this understanding from customers on the different flows they would find most useful. This isn't something we have direct plans of right now, but will start to get a sense of interest in setting a default screen here.     Hi Gabby, thanks for sharing your thoughts. It's clear that when multiple tabs are open, it can be easy to lose track of which tab is the client tax return.

    Adding clearer visual cues like colour-coding or more distinct tab titles could help you move between Tax and Practice areas more confidently.

    I would like them to add back the names to the tabs.

    Since the update anything in XPM just shows as 'Clients' and if I have multiple tabs open I just have a big list of tabs showing 'Client' and I have no idea which one is which.

    Hi everyone, thanks for the suggestion. We get that as more tools are added to the practice header, things can start to feel a bit crowded.

    Separating Help and Notifications from your main action buttons could create a cleaner layout and make it easier to focus on the tools you use most often.

    I’ve moved this to Gaining Support so we can track interest and share with our product team how this could improve clarity and everyday usability in Xero Partner Hub.

    We hear you that things like the date resetting to Monday can disrupt your efficiency.

    Since Xero insists on the dumpster fire that is the new Files system, it seems like the perfect opportunity to include a search function if you're going to insist that Every. Single. File. is included in the archive. So that we can easily find things amongst a giant list...

    But alas, here Xero is again, snatching defeat from the jaws of victory...

    Hi team, we recognise that staying on top of disconnected or expiring bank feeds is important for keeping workflows running smoothly.

    We hear that having a dedicated view or alert on the Practice Homepage would make it easier to manage bank feed refresh across clients, rather than only picking up issues when working in a specific file.

    This is now in Gaining Support so we can gather interest and share how this could make day-to-day practice management easier.

    It’s clear that manually checking each client organisation to see if a bank feed has dropped out can take up valuable time.

    We hear you that a central view or alert on the Practice Homepage would make it easier to spot connection issues across your client base and address them before they affect month-end work.

    As mentioned, surfacing this in a homepage widget would reduce the need to check individual files and make it easier to stay on top of feed status.

    I’ve added this to Gaining Support so we can track interest and share with our product team how this at-a-glance visibility could improve day-to-day practice management.
