    Thanks for everyone's support in this idea. We understand the strong feelings expressed in your comments, where an invoice can be accidentally approved when still needing to go through a review or remain in a draft status. 

    As suggested by some users in this thread, if this has already occurred an option for now would be to add a note to the history of the invoice so other users are aware of the action and what needs to be done, or alternatively Void the invoice and copy to a new Draft invoice (consider if you need to change the invoice # before voiding the approved one, so you can use this on the new draft invoice). 

    While not a resolution for this idea, to avoid mistakenly approving an invoice an option could be to make use of the keyboard shortcuts that are now available in invoicing such as Save &…

    Hi Amna, could you explain your idea a little more? Would this be to send bulk comms to multiple contacts from Xero, or something like being able to set different persons on a contacts record to receive different types of transactions or communications?

    I would like a way to be able to select customer and create a mailing list that sends from outlook automatically.

    Hi everyone, we appreciate the feedback we've received from customers that would like to use Xero to manage their own personal finances.

    We want to be open that we don't have plans for developing a specific product for personal use - However, if you'd like to use a Xero business organisation for monitoring your personal finances, you could follow this process for getting set up:

    • Set up your 'personal finances' organisation.
    • Edit the Chart of Accounts, adding accounts that you would like to use (eg Salary & Wages, Groceries, Insurance Expense), and delete any unnecessary accounts.
    • Add your personal bank accounts and import your bank transactions.

    You could then use Tracking to create Categories like Income & Expenditure Goals and add the items that you'd like to track, as options within the related category. 

    The Tracking Summary Report will give you an overview of these 'goals'.

    Thanks for your comments and emphasis on the bills side of things for the idea here. I've made sure this is shared with our team in this space.

    Bills is an area we're continuing to develop with building on beautiful and I'll be sure to let you know here if there's any consideration made to change behaviour of this through the bills add and edit flow.

    Hi community, happy to share that we're in the midst of rolling out bulk adjustments! We've heard you, and appreciate that updating stock quantities 1 by 1 can be tedious especially when conducting a stock take.

    With our new tool for bulk inventory adjustments you'll find finishing your stock takes faster, giving you more time back to do the things that matter.

    Once available in your org, you'll be able to create, review and submit bulk inventory adjustments in-one-go, you can export and import items after a count, and you'll have an Adjustment History page where you can view historical adjustments.

    If you don't quite have it just yet, look forward to seeing this soon 😊 I'll be back to confirm once it's live in all organisations. In the meantime you can read more about this feature on our blog.

    Hi everyone, a year on from my last engagement we wanted to provide an update for you all here.

    As many will be across we're in the midst of making a lot of iterations and improvements to new invoicing leading up to the retirement of classic invoicing in September (2024).

    We have a fair amount of work lined up in the teams schedule over the coming months and to give an indication there isn't any committed plans around a function to add interest to invoices.

    That said, we do have a team that have picked up and are considering how we might solve this with the technology in new invoicing - It's early days on this yet, but I'll share if there's any progress on this for you all here.

    In the meantime, as has been shared by others over time there are a few ways you could accomplish this…

    I selected Critical as I am dealing with this right now. I have to go in and adjust the cost every week.

    What will it take to get XERO to respond why this is not on the roadmap yet or when it will plan to be done. You are so far ahead in many ways of QuickBooks and others, but this is a big deal for most of us.

    Xero does talk to people and get their opinions on things they are working on. I have participated in these and appreciate it.

    But as others have mentioned this is a must for small businesses so that we can easily collect from our customers who are late. I agree this is really a feature that needs to be addressed sooner than later. It takes a lot of time to get this figured out and adjusted on the invoices especially in times like we are going through right now with the inflation and possible recession. We may see more of this popping up with customers being late which is causing us to be late, etc. We get charged but we need to have the ability to do the same easily.
