Hi Lisa, thanks for your engagement and letting us know the changes that matter to you in Xero Projects.

We've reviewed your idea to be able to select multiple unassigned expenses and assign them to an estimated expense at once, and it can now gain support from other community members.

Along with votes, others can now comment to share additional detail about how this bulk-assignment feature could improve their experience and make managing project expenses more efficient.🙂

Hey community, thank you for your continued interest in this idea.

Wanted to provide an update here as it's been a while since we last spoke to duplicate contacts.

I do understand that, at face value, this seems like a quick fix. However, as the contacts screen interacts with many other parts of Xero, this work can not commence until the modernisation of other, related systems is complete.

Due to this, we do not expect support for duplicate contacts to be delivered in the coming short-term.

In the meantime however, we're keen to continue collecting feedback and votes on this idea, and I will update you here as soon as there's more work to share.

Thanks for the detail in your idea here, Kevin. We don't have any plans to enable the changing of amount in Find & recode in the near term. We'll get a gauge a sense of the demand for this from community in your idea here.

Hi team, we totally get that mistakes happen, and the ability to recall an invoice sent in error would be handy. Hearing how this affects your workflow gives us important context as we review the idea.

At this point, this idea isn’t on our roadmap. Part of the reason is technical: implementing a true recall feature would require extensive work. Once an email leaves Xero, it travels through external email servers outside of our control. Most email providers don’t allow messages to be retracted after delivery, so reliably recalling an invoice isn’t possible in the same way it’d be within an internal system.

We’ll be sure to update this thread if anything changes.

The fact that costs that are set up within Products and Services come into Projects as a "% Mark-up" item, even when they've been set as "Non-Chargeable", means that errors can easily be made in then changing the "what you'll charge" dropdown, marking things as non-chargeable when they are chargeable. If we find errors in this (and there are several monthly) we therefore have to delete the original draft invoice and replace it with one that has all the chargeable tasks and expenses on it, rather than just adding the additional item(s) to the invoice already created.

Hi Brett, separate actions in them self but it is possible to Approve multiple invoices at once from the Draft tab. When actioned you'll see a message from which you can 'View invoices' and multi select to Email.

Being open this isn't something we have plans for right now - Is there a common scenario, or specific reason you'd like these actions as one? It'd be good detail to share back with the team.

When bulk approving invoices, they then get "lost" in the list of unpaid ones. If they can be approved and emailed individually from within the invoices themselves, why can't this be done from the draft or awaiting approval tabs using the tickboxes on the lefthand side?

Hi everyone, we appreciate your support and feedback for having a Repeating Invoices Report.

We know that not having a dedicated report for your repeating invoices can present limitations when trying to forecast sales.

As noted by others in the idea, while not a complete solution there is the Receivable invoice detail report, that will provide results for invoices that have already generated from a repeat invoice template. There is also Short term cashflow predictions in Xero Analytics Plus that can predict recurring cash transactions based on the past 3 months reconciliations.

For more comprehensive forecasting, some users have found third-party apps that integrate with Xero to be helpful - You can view the full suite of official apps on our Xero App store

While we understand these aren't ideal long-term solutions, I want to let you know that there's no work currently planned to develop a specific…

It seems that when repeating invoices and bills are set up, there's no way of generating a report that shows the details of their contents prior to them being created as either draft or approved. Reports can only be produced once the invoices and bills are actually created. Therefore, when many of these are created there's no concise way of reviewing them and making appropriate changes before the draft entries are created. Therefore, if changes are discovered to be necessary after they're created, they have to be done twice - once on the new invoice/bill just created and once on the repeating transaction that will be used for future creations.

We've just had to edit all of our repeating bills for annual price changes, etc., but have no way of easily reviewing that we've got them right before the draft entries are created.

Hi community, I know it's been sometime since our last update and while we still don't have any plans for building a complete email system within Xero we wanted to share news of a new integration very much centered around needs expressed by some customers, here.

Xero have partnered with Constant Contact to provide our customers a free integration to help small businesses streamline accounting and marketing by keeping customer data connected and automating routine tasks.

With Xero + Constant Contact you'll be able to segment and engage your customers using financial and transactional insights, making it easy to deliver targeted marketing campaigns that drive results. You can also improve cash flow by sending automated invoice reminders and payment follow-ups through Constant Contact’s email campaigns, helping you reduce late payments. Xero customers can get 50% off any Constant Contact plan for 6 months. Terms apply.

    If this integration doesn't quite…

Hi everyone, we appreciate the number of users that'd like to see more mechanisms to assign and control who approves specific employee's claims.

Our product teams have a close eye on this idea, and while this feature is not in the roadmap atm, they'll keep reviewing this as they continue to plan and prioritise work for Expenses. So, if there us any shift in status we'll share an update to keep you all informed on the idea, here.
