🌟 Thanks so much for sharing your idea with us, and for taking the time to explain how increasing the number of tracking options for MTD for Income Tax could make managing larger property portfolios easier in Xero.
We’ve reviewed your idea and moved it to Gaining Support so other community members can vote and comment on how this could improve their experience too. This helps our product team get a better understanding of the interest in this feature, the different customer scenarios it would support, and the impact it could have for those managing property income through MTD for IT.
If you know others this could help, feel free to share the idea with them so they can add their support as well.

Hi everyone, thanks for all your feedback and highlighting the need for multi-currency manual journals, and being able to see the FX rate directly in the journal.
We understand the needs in this space have close ties with this idea for being able to journal to bank accounts, and this is something we have intentions of doing deeper discovery around in the longer term. However, we want to be upfront that this work isn't roadmapped right now.
Though we appreciate not the straight forward approach that you’re after here - currently you can create the journal via a bill in the relevant foreign currency. Entering positive and negative lines for the debit and credit entries, which results in a 0.00 bill total once approved. The bill lines are converted to your organisation’s base currency using the bill’s FX rate, and the transaction won’t revalue.
As soon as there's movement…

Hi team, pleased to share another update as progress moves along in this space.
We'd now doing some early testing of the teams concepts for being able to bundle inventory in Xero.
With the high interest for this in the idea, we'd like to offer the opportunity to be involved in the process - If you'd be willing to give some of your time to share back with the team, we'd love you to fill in this short questionnaire ✍️
While this will be limited to a small group, we'll keep you updated on the outcomes, here. Thanks!

Hi everyone, thanks again for continuing to share your feedback and examples on this idea.
We’ve now done some initial discovery on this and can see the value it could provide for businesses needing assembly or bundled inventory capability in Xero.
This is something we’re interested in solving longer term, however there is a bit of complexity involved in the work and it hasn’t been roadmapped at this stage.
When we are able to get this planned in the pipeline, we’ll be sure to update you here and keep you informed on progress.

Hi community, we appreciate your continued feedback on having different default email addresses for various transaction types in Xero contacts, and the manual steps involved to ensure you're communicating with the right person for different purposes.
Currently, one way of managing this in Xero would be to include every additional person on a contact record in emails, and then removing those that aren't required when sending each transaction. However we totally get this isn't the ideal solution.
While being able to set different email addresses for differing transaction types is something we want to address longer term, like the idea for multiple addresses work for this feature requires cross-collaboration between teams in order to achieve.
Once the multiple addresses feature is live this is something we'll be able to consider more closely and provide further updates on.
We do regularly review all ideas here, and your input is vital. We'll…

Ability to select which "people" on a contact record will receive specific e-mails from Xero
For example i would like to be able to have the primary contact as the MD of the business BUT not for them to receive any general accounting communications.
I would like invoices to be sent to my clients purchase ledger department who have a shared e-mail box as well as the companies autoentry e-mail address for invoices and Statements to go to a specific lady that deals with statement reconciliations and payment runs. And none of these accounting documents to go to the primary contact. My Xero integrates with Bright Manager and that needs the the Primary contact to be the real contact NOT an accounts contacts.

Customer statements sent to be included on the contact record.
Currently i can see that a statement was sent on the history and notes of the files tab in a customer record but would be great if i could see the statement that was sent to the customer maybe by clicking on link from the history and notes tab or by having a separate tab for "credit control" or "statements" within a customer contact or taking it one step further a "communications" tabs in a customer record that lists all e-mails sent from within xero to the customer, with hyper links to open any attachments sent.I can tick to include my e-mail address for statements sent but would be easier if all accounts information was in Xero and not split between e-mail application.

Hi team, while this isn't something we have planned we're continuing to watch support for this here closely.
Right now, while not the ideal solution you're after here, you could open the Repeat template and change the Invoice date to the current date so you can set the End date earlier.
If you also select to Save as draft you could then open and Delete the invoice that is generated from the template without it going to your customer.
We'll share if there are any plans made that change the position of this idea. Thanks

Hi everyone, we wanted to share another update here. The ability to schedule and send a one-off invoice at a date and time that works best is now available to all organisations.
You can find this feature in the send window by clicking the dropdown arrow next to the Send email button.
As mentioned in my last update, we understand there’s strong interest in extending this functionality to repeating invoices as well. While this isn’t currently in the pipeline, it’s something our product team will closely consider as they shape the future of repeating invoices in Xero.
I’ll be sure to share any further updates with you here.

I have the same issue, a client with 14 properties, some 50:50 with husband and some 100% owned by her. The work around we have is to set up a second tracking category for ownership with the two options we need 50:50 and 100% owned. It means we need to allocate two tracking categories to each transaction, one for ownership and one for the individual property so not ideal for transaction processing. A better option would be to be able to group tracking categories on the MTD for IT screen - so select a 50% split and tick all the individual property names that his applies to, then a 100% option and tick all the properties to be included as 100%. This would seem easier than adding a % against each individual property.
