  1. It would be good if there was a warning if an adviser user inadvertently enters a date in a prior accounting period which has been locked. For example year end is 31 Dec 2022 and a current year bill is entered as 17/11/22 instead of 17/11/23

  2. Re: Handling of Mutly-currency/translating foreign currency amounts into the functional currency

    Multy currency is currently not fully supported in xero.

    A foreign currency transaction should be recorded initially at the rate of exchange at the date of the transaction and then, at each subsequent balance sheet date, foreign currency monetary amounts should be reported using the closing rate.

    This is true in xero only for Bank accounts, accounts receivables and payables set in foreign currency but not for other account.
    As a result users are required to input periodical manual adjustments at each balance sheet date.

  7. Having the ability to invoice a percentage of each task in a project.
    Our company invoices as a job progresses e.g 20% of one task is completed the first month, and then 50% has been completed the following month.
    At this stage, I am only able to apply a 'discount' to alter the amount invoiced (while still maintaining the full contract amount on the invoice as a reference to clients). When doing this, it also marks that task as invoiced and I am unable to further invoice. The only alternative to this, is invoicing for a project amount and still…

  8. If a staff member has Manager User access to a client file this doesn’t allow them to add users to a file with Payroll Admin unless they have Payroll Admin permissions.
    It would be good if people are allowed to MANAGE the access without necessarily having themselves.
    Can this idea please get implemented as it will avoid adding administrators with Payroll Admin permissions to our large client list when it isn’t required.

  9. DEAR XERO. CAN YOU PLEASE CHANGE THE GST AUDIT REPORTS SO THAT THEY SHOW THE ACTUAL NARRATION THAT IS ON THE BANK STATEMENT INSTEAD OF THE PAYEE NAME. WHEN RECONCILING TRANSACTIONS XERO ADDS IN A SUGGESTED PAYEE NAME WHICH OFTEN GETS ACCEPTED, OFTEN ITS INCORRECT. THIS IS THE DETAIL WHICH SHOWS ON THE GST AUDIT REPORT.   11. Xero Me - change of address - employee can lodge a notification through Xero Me to payroll for your change of address. The change could be approved by the payroll administrator and it immediately updates Xero, then an email would be sent to the employee to say the change of address has occurred. This would reduce administration time, spelling errors in address and encourage employees to keep their details up to date.

    Hi everyone, thanks for your engagement with us on how enabling your employees to update their address themselves would save time and improve your experience with Xero.

    Our product teams have been paying close attention to this idea and are developing this within the Xero Me app. We're working to provide self-service options so employees can update their email, contact number, address and a few other fields. 😊 I'll be back to share as soon as this is available to you here.

  12. Linking Purchase Order to Bill

    Purpose: To copy the details from the po to populate the forwarded bill from email fields.

    This would enable the ease of processing bills; using the data already on the po and verifying the costs accordingly.

    Also this is vital, so that you can match multiple bills to the same po.

If you have multiple invoices for the same client, a feature that allows you the option to automatically apply bank transactions receiving money from the client to the oldest invoices first moving closer to date would be mighty helpful. At the current moment, we have to manually split out each transaction to the invoices when reconciling bank transactions; it stands to reason that if you have a client with multiple invoices and they pay off in chunks, you would want to apply payments to their oldest debt first; having this as a selectable option for a contact / bank rule…

  20. I would love if when we merged Invoices into 1 from drafts it doesn't leave the draft that I need to manually go back and delete. This can cause double ups of Invoicing.
