  1. Include the option to enter the Registered User's UTR number in CIS verifications as well as the Organisations UTR number which will allow partnerships to be verified - HMRC need both to verify a partnership.

  2. Right now, we see average days we pay or receive payment. It would be good if we can have another row that shows us the payment terms we have with the contact so we can benchmark against performance that way. The data is already in Xero, just need to show it.

    Hi Amy, could you give a bit more detail on what this would help you do, or is there a specific format you'd be looking to download invoices in? 

    Currently, you can export invoices from Xero and would be able to filter these in exported CSV file, or can do a search to do this before exporting - More on this here

  4. We use another software programme which exports all our customer details and invoices etc into Xero automatically. The other programme uses Google to create addresses. A lot of the addresses include te reo, so include macrons. When the text is imported into Xero the macrons cause non-recognition of the characters, so we end up with a mess.
    Surely in this modern world, Xero, an Aotearoa, New Zealand, developed programme, can be made to recognise our indigenous (Official) language, and allow correct te reo spellings.
    This is 2022 not 1922, please allow us to get this basic NZ requirement correct. Xero…

    Hi Karin, would it be possible to get a few more examples of names that you've tried to import and not have show with macrons? 

    One of our team have tested creating a contact via import with the name Whakatāne (/mækrn, me-/) and this created a contact in Xero as shown in this image. 

    It'd be great to better understand and see if we can look into this a bit more. 

  5. When trying to identify how many new contacts have been added in a certain period it is impossible without pulling months of billing and sorting by client name. Also would be great for marketing to know about Client anniversaries.

    Simply by adding a field for the date added when setting up the record would be ideal, it could then be shown on the exported contacts report.

  8. I have 4000 archived contacts that I need to restore. Doing them one by one is ridiculous and will take an eternity. Adding check boxes on the side to select multiple to restore in bulk would be an easy feature to add and benefit greatly.

  10. Please consider adding a field to the contact, to show how payment is made (BACS, DD, Proforma, Credit Card etc). This would avoid paying a supplier bill via BACS when there is already a DD arrangement set up. Likewise, for customers we can turn off statements for DD payers. You could show this on the summary screen and make it a selection field when running aged debt/credit reports.

For businesses who have missed the cut off for lodging superannuation guarantees to the clearing house by the 28th day of the month following end of the quarter, it would be really helpful to have a system-generated reminder to submit their Superannuation Guarantee Charge Statement and penalty payment before the 28th day of the following month. Many businesses are not aware of this penalty, nor the due dates to submit the required report and payment (including obtaining the need to obtain a Payment Reference Number) to the ATO.   12. Be able to see recurring invoices set up for a client on that client's page. So many times I think to myself "I'm pretty sure I set that up, but did I?" and then I have to go and search in the repeating invoice tab. It would be good to be able to see recurring invoices just on the client page.

  14. Bank Reconciliation suggestions. The ability for Xero to identify a name within a customer contact and match it to the name on the bank feed and suggest this as a match. for example John Smith is the contact for ABC pty ltd. when he makes payment he only references John Smith. Xero will recognise John smith is a contact for ABC pty ltd and suggest their invoice in the bank rec.

  15. Have the ability to set default settings for every new Contact you add to Xero.

    Our default tax will always be Tax Exclusive for example. We should be able to set this as the default to all new contacts added, as well as:

    Default account
    Currency
    Invoice Theme
    Invoices Due Date

  16. Currently a new supplier is created in your contact list every time a transaction is made which results in too many contacts considering there could be very small items of spend at multiple stores on card etc. I only want to see key repeating suppliers in my contact list.

  19. Currently when you want to add a contact to a group and you have a entire list of different groups, you can not search for the group you are looking for, you have to scroll through your list. It is very frustrating not being able to search for the group.

We have imported all our contacts (a mixture of customers and suppliers) into Xero but they have all gone into the "All" category and there is now no way of assigning them to the "Customers" or "Suppliers" categories. It seems like a crazy restriction that not even the Xero people can fix for us. My suggestion is to allow us to move them out of All into one of the other categories.
