  1. Before we had start/stop times, employees were able to add different pay rates (ie Saturday Penalty Rate). It would be excellent if this option could be included with the start/stop time version in Xero Me.

  2. When a customer accepts a quote via the link the email is sent to the users email address - suggestion is to have it sent to the REPLY TO email address and / or the USERS address.

    Hi team, I know it's been sometime since this idea was initially raised and we wanted to update you all here.

    We appreciate and understand why some businesses would prefer the acceptance of a Quote be sent to the organisation's reply to email address, rather than the user that initially created the Quote.

    While our product team have reviewed and are attentive to your interest in this, we want to be upfront that this is not something we currently have direct plans for changing the behaviour of.

    Our team will continue to review this idea and when we're in a position to assess notification and communications for Quotes, we'll share if there are any updates around this, here.

  3. Using the dashboard search, we are no longer able to search by account number and must instead use names. Account numbers are used by thousands of businesses across the country and it's one of my most common client questions.

    We can search by account number in the contact screen, please extend this to the dashboard search

  4. When clients use Xero Me they use the notes section on the timesheet to communicate and for some staff advise their managers what tasks they have completed on that day. Xero help confirmed today these notes are no longer visible once the timesheet is approved meaning we have lost visibility of this information. My client is very unhappy that I did not advise them of this issue, unfortunately as this is a new way of completing the timesheets I wasn't aware this was going to happen, previously my clients were sending me a spreadsheet each fortnight and I was manually…

  5. I would prefer that the dates displayed on the Payroll Activity Details & the Payroll Employee Summary reports are the beginning and of the pay period.
    I have found that some of my clients get confused with the way those reports are currently issued, using the payment date.

  7. It would be good if there was a warning if an adviser user inadvertently enters a date in a prior accounting period which has been locked. For example year end is 31 Dec 2022 and a current year bill is entered as 17/11/22 instead of 17/11/23

  8. Re: Handling of Mutly-currency/translating foreign currency amounts into the functional currency

    Multy currency is currently not fully supported in xero.

    A foreign currency transaction should be recorded initially at the rate of exchange at the date of the transaction and then, at each subsequent balance sheet date, foreign currency monetary amounts should be reported using the closing rate.

    This is true in xero only for Bank accounts, accounts receivables and payables set in foreign currency but not for other account.
    As a result users are required to input periodical manual adjustments at each balance sheet date.

  9. would be so much easier if the only amounts that show on the GST late file reports are amounts where the GST treatment has ACTUALLY changed. doing something as simple as changing a code in a filed period can create hundreds of pages of "late claim" adjustments but they are just in and out entries..... this also makes it harder to determine which entries have actually changed.

  12. Having the ability to invoice a percentage of each task in a project.
    Our company invoices as a job progresses e.g 20% of one task is completed the first month, and then 50% has been completed the following month.
    At this stage, I am only able to apply a 'discount' to alter the amount invoiced (while still maintaining the full contract amount on the invoice as a reference to clients). When doing this, it also marks that task as invoiced and I am unable to further invoice. The only alternative to this, is invoicing for a project amount and still…

  13. If a staff member has Manager User access to a client file this doesn’t allow them to add users to a file with Payroll Admin unless they have Payroll Admin permissions.
    It would be good if people are allowed to MANAGE the access without necessarily having themselves.
    Can this idea please get implemented as it will avoid adding administrators with Payroll Admin permissions to our large client list when it isn’t required.

    Thanks for your feedback on the thread. Though not useful for all, we did bring attention to the reports that could help some people in the forums here. 

    We'll continue to consider this and other ideas for customer statements as the platform evolves. 

    Again not a full resolve but another option that could be handy for some is the inclusion of the Outstanding bills link when sending individual invoices to your customers. Through this, persons of a contact will be able to view and get detail of the invoices they have outstanding with you at any given time. 

  15. DEAR XERO. CAN YOU PLEASE CHANGE THE GST AUDIT REPORTS SO THAT THEY SHOW THE ACTUAL NARRATION THAT IS ON THE BANK STATEMENT INSTEAD OF THE PAYEE NAME. WHEN RECONCILING TRANSACTIONS XERO ADDS IN A SUGGESTED PAYEE NAME WHICH OFTEN GETS ACCEPTED, OFTEN ITS INCORRECT. THIS IS THE DETAIL WHICH SHOWS ON THE GST AUDIT REPORT. IF I AM CHECKING THE REPORT I NEED TO SEE WHERE THE ACTUAL PAYMENT WENT, FROM THE BANK STATEMENT - NOT WHERE SOMEONE HAS INADVERTENTLY SAID IT WENT WHICH MAY OR MAY NOT BE CORRECT.   18. Is would be helpful to be able assign different expenses from one bill to different customers, in one batch. At the moment you have to do it individually and then go back into the assign expenses section to do it again for each assignment, which for a bill that relates to multiple customers takes a lot of time.

If you have multiple invoices for the same client, a feature that allows you the option to automatically apply bank transactions receiving money from the client to the oldest invoices first moving closer to date would be mighty helpful. At the current moment, we have to manually split out each transaction to the invoices when reconciling bank transactions; it stands to reason that if you have a client with multiple invoices and they pay off in chunks, you would want to apply payments to their oldest debt first; having this as a selectable option for a contact / bank rule…
