  1. We have assigned users to specific projects but in order for them to see the invoices and bills against this project the settings must be changed so that they can access all bills, invoices and contacts to amend.

    I would like a feature so that someone assigned to the project can have read only access to the invoices and bills ONLY associated with this project. Allowing them to still run reports and view profitability on their project but they cannot amend invoices and bills or cannot access others that are not their projects.

Hi Community, we need to have the option to copy part of the invoice when we are doing it, and then, copy that on the same invoice we are working, many times we need to invoice the same things to the same client but separate it by levels or offices into the same invoice, we can save a lot of time with this function when we are writing a big invoice.

  4. Hi - could the Timer appear on other Xero pages, not just the Projects page? So when the timer is started, it stays on the screen when we move between Dashboard, Business, Accounting etc. That would be great. Thanks.

  5. The Receive Money function should be made available to users who do nothing else except literally receive money - ie sales people. This is especially relevant in small countries where cash is king and non electronic transactions are still in majority. I have one user who only needs to receive cash but I can't give them that function without making them an Adviser.

  7. Are you able to generate comparatives button on the BAS's and IAS's for the previous period and the same period last year, like there is for tax returns? This would be a handy tool to use when reviewing.

  8. At the moment Xero Payroll calculates OWE by using information from the pay template only. Xero Payroll also recommends use of minimum hours as best practice, and allowing the hourly rate to lift if the average is higher than minimum hours. Works well. However, many employees have minimum hours and work more hours regularly, but they don't always work the same number, they might have periods of more work, and other periods of less. This means they don't actually have Standard Hours, and according to the legislation, OWE should be calculated from a 4 week average, not just taking "Standard…

  9. Create ABA file for non bank account, eg Credit Cards.
    With an increate of payment options and portals offering payments through credit card, it could be reasonable to have an aba file created for other form of payment. Thanks

  11. There is a weird issue when entering in text in the 'Descripton' box in a Quote.

    Once the text is entered if you then leave the description box and then click back into it, all the text in that field is highlighted.

    This is a little problem when you want to delete one character as it deletes the whole text.

    If you Control V the text back....it hasn't copied the text to put it back in.
    So, you lose all the text entered.

    I understand you can click a few times to stop it highlighting the whole text.

  12. The assurance dashboard has been around for a while and it's great to have a number of checks accessible in the same place. However, there doesn't appear to have been much development in this area i.e. we are still not able to export out reports from the Assurance Dashboard.

    A client reached out today looking for an easy to run report showing bank account number changes.     Hi everyone, appreciate the feedback on my last question. I've slightly amended the title of this idea. As a bit of an update from when I last posted we have actually made an update in History & Notes as I know some of you were interested in - You can now Export to PDF or Excel from this screen and you'll find there are filter options to help you zone into the items you're most interested in looking at.

    Hi community, there was a brief window in which users were able to unintentionally code line items to CIS codes. However, there is more complexity in calculations for CIS and work that's needed to reflect this appropriately.


    Thanks for starting an idea in this, we'll begin to track the appetite as a possibility for future work.

    On the repeating invoices tab, can we please have the total amount showing of repeating monthly invoices.. Just as it shows the awaiting invoices value on that tab.

    This will help business keep an eye on their recurring value income.

  15. When downloading the individual payslip it would be nice if the PDF would say the persons name rather than the default filename of Payslip (1) etc
    Other payroll software such as Shape does this. Shame that Xero doesn't

  16. Add the ability to open an account transaction report by clicking on the number in a total line of the balance sheet or P&L. The linked account transaction report would contain the account transactions for all accounts that were being totaled.

  17. I often have 30 or so bank transactions (both credit and debit) that I need to on-bill/on-credit to a customer. The process described in https://central.xero.com/s/article/Add-a-billable-expense-to-an-invoice requires multiple clicks per transaction and does not work for credits.

    In addition, there is no indication in the bank transaction list that the entry has been assigned to a customer as a cross-check.

  18. I would really like to be able to allocate my expenses to a project within the app.
    If I add a receipt via the app, (which for me is the most efficient way to add expenses) I then have to go online, find the transaction, edit it and resave it, in order to sign it to a project. This is frustratingly inefficient and doubles the time it takes to input a purchase!
    Could you please add this ability to the app?

  19. On payslips and in reports, I think there should be dates next to the following items so it isn't confusing for the employee and when checking reports. It makes it more transparent too.
