    Please can you allow more than 5 reminders, we chase to strict deadlines so 5 isn't enough. Does there need to be a limit?

    Would possibly need to consider the # of communications individual contacts are receiving if you had unlimited reminders. 


    To get a sense of what our customers would be looking for - do you have a # of reminders in mind that would most suit your business, Ryan? 🙂

  3. Have a paid parental leave pay item so that a balance can be input and 'drawn down' on. The employee and the employer have clear visibility on how much time has been taken and how much is left.

    Since STP PH2 compliance has come in, paid parental leave has just become an earnings pay item and not a leave pay item.

    The workaround of running the Payroll Activity Summary or Transaction Listing Summary report to keep track of the earnings processed for the employee, is onerous and not available to the employee.

  4. Why does the screen on each contact not show an aged breakdown at a glance like it does in Sage 50 accounts? Sometimes I only want to look at that particular supplier/customer to see what we owe them by month without having to go to the reports screen. Also why does it not list payments on account in the top part of the screen. It is so confusing to work out what is due and what isn't. Awful set up

  5. Simple Find button as used in Quickbooks Desktop. This facility was used on a daily basis by our construction company to find anything that came on an invoice, all you needed was to type in one word and it would seek it out in seconds. I do not understand why Xero are not capable of implementing this. I have been told by Xero that the more people that support an idea the more likely it is that they will do it. Please support this.

  6. In our business, there may be multiple people helping on a particular project for a client. Currently, in order to have the income allocated correctly to each employee we have to enter separate items for each person. This then flows through to the invoice, showing all the amounts and items listed separately.

    Would it be possible to look at a way that "behind the scenes" we can add multiple invoice items so that income is allocated correctly, but on the invoice it shows a single description and amount?

    It just makes the invoice look more confusing than it needs to…

  7. We use Go Cardless to collect our student tenants' rent. Every year we need to cancel the Go Cardless direct debits and archive the outgoing tenants and set up new direct debits for the incoming tenants. On Sage, we were able to select a whole year group at once and batch cancel/archive them. But on Xero we have to do this one by one. Life is short and time is money! Please can you make it possible to batch cancel direct debits by group or by tag/filter/segment criteria? Thank you.

  9. I would like to be able to forward receipts I have received via email which are NOT attachments, but are inline / html receipts, and have Xero read them, like Expensify can.

    I waste so much time receiving emailed receipts (BPME for example) which I then have to save as a PDF and forward / upload.

  10. There needs to be an automatic email notification sent to users when a financial setting is changed. Our gst number was changed and we had no idea until we manually spotted the change.

  13. There is a significant risk to accuracy allowing the ability to edit an approved invoice without further approval from a higher access tier to what is already provided.

    We have experienced a number of clients sending out the invoices to their clients and then editing the invoices, resulting in differences between the original invoice and that on the system. There is no real audit detail either.

    Therefore, the request is to consider introducing an additional access level restricting the editing / amending of documentation after approval.

  14. It would be an idea to be able to add to a purchase order by simply ticking the item from the stock list while you are checking stock levels. This would save time typing in every item after you have checked it.

  15. Add payment method to the main screen

    If a Payment Method was on the main Invoice Awaiting Payment screen, maybe next the sent icon this would make things so much easier, you can also see clearly who is on Direct Debit.

  17. I'm an experienced chartered accountant relatively new Xero user. I'm flummoxed by the inclusion of payroll transactions in the "bills to pay" section. While the detail is hidden from some users, some personal payroll transactions (related to overpayment) have become viewable by users without payroll access. Even summary transactions should not be viewable by people without payroll access.

    All payroll transactions should be in a separate section to avoid confusion and any breach of privacy.

    I cannot, for the life of me, see the rationale for including payroll transactions in this area in the first place.

    Appears that you're based in Cayman Islands, Steve. When setting up your Xero org this will have set the region as Global, which doesn’t have Payroll.

    Our Global edition of Xero has the pay run feature, which is a simple payrolling tool.

    As this is a more simple payroll feature, when a pay run is processed it posts a transaction to be paid into the 'bills to pay' screen, like you described.

    If you'd like to have the UK regional payroll product and submit to the HMRC, you'll need to set up a new organisation as paying taxes in the UK.

  18. A single bill is entered for two projects (tracking categories). In the Profit & Loss statement, it is showing the correct amount for Project 1 and Project 2. However, when I make a partial payment to this supplier, I am unable to allocate it to the particular project. Xero is automatically assigning it, which is resulting in incorrect output.
    If you can add a popup for Bill Payment "tracking category", it will be a great help for the users

  19. With scamming on the rise checking bank details is a priority.

    I would love to see the ability to open each of the bills in the review section when creating a batch payment (ABA file).

    Even better if you could open any attached files direct from the batch payment review section users could quickly check if the bank details in Xero Contacts match the latest bill. If there is any discrepancy the user could investigate before processing the payment.
