  2. Assign staff as bulk. At the moment I need to add everyone who I want to assign to a project individually and then click done and then go back to assign and do it again. It would be easy if we could select the staff once and once click done.

  3. I'd like to be able to report on all statement history and notes, not just for one Contact at a time, but for all at once. For example, I'd like to be able to see how many Account Statements were issued in the last xx days, which contacts they were sent to etc. across my entire organisation. Looking for this, one Contact at a time, is excruciating...

  4. Once a Purchase Order is created it would be great if there was a feature to allow you to mark the PO as delivered. Currently there is no way to see what ones are complete and what ones are still outstanding. This may need to be extended to allow individual line items on a PO to be able to be marked as delivered.

  6. Hi
    We generate 'One Supplier Purchase Order' for every 'One Customer Invoice'.
    We are seeking a report / feature where one can quick and easy match the two, e.g. as per attached image.
    It is a time-consuming exercise to ensure every invoice has a respective purchase order, i.e. close the loop.
    Is there an existing idea that is similar to our requirement, or perhaps a solution available ?

  7. An icon to show that a note has been left on a quote. See attached.

    This is a screenshot from the quotes section, and I have added a notes symbol.

    When scrolling through quotes, it will show other people, or a reminder for yourself, that there is a note on that quote, which saves them having to click through each one to check for a note.

    In addition to this, the icon could be interractive, so if you hover over it, the note pops up so you can 'quick view', which again, will save time.

It would be great if could change casual employee to permanent without having to terminate the employee first and re-enter all their data and have to remember to delete their email address before adding to them as a new employee. It's especially annoying if they use XeroMe to submit timesheets. Other payroll such as IMS or MYOB don't require employees to be terminated and re-entered if their employment basis changes.

  9. GST Return Layout - Ability to filter by date
    GST Return Layout - Late Claim in a seperate tab

    The New GST layout doesn't have a seperate tab for "Late Claims" meaning everytime I have to create a breakdown for a client I have to delete all the other transactions for income & expenses. I can see you can filter by "late claims" but we don't want to have to export and manipulate the data when sending the documents to clients.
    Additionally when we do filter the dates don't filter by date because the format is 07-10-2025 instead of 07/10/2025…

  10. adding sub-projects allows within projects. this allows for variations/additional works which are for the same project to be linked/tracked together without having to create a new project just for that item

  11. Bank transaction lines created via API are immediately in AUTHORISED status.

    I propose an optional DRAFT status.

    A draft transaction is available for reconciliation, but it only becomes authorised at the point that it is reconciled.

    This would allow for creating transactions via API but these only actually affecting the company accounts when a human gets in the loop to reconcile it with a real statement line.

  12. Invoices - Awaiting payment

    When clicking on invoices, it would be helpful to be able to select a default invoices tab I would like to land on. This feature is available for Bills and the user is able to select the 'Awaiting payment' tab as a default.
    In the interest of having easy access and a quick view on which customers have not paid, it would be beneficial to introduce this feature.

If you navigate through the main menu, the Invoices or Bills pages always default to the All tab, but clicking Invoices owed to you or Bills you need to pay from the dashboard takes you directly to the Awaiting Payment tab. As noted by others in this thread, one option for now is to bookmark the Awaiting Payment tab directly from your browser.   13. We use location codes to sperate our transactions by site or (cost centre). I tried to create a bank rule to allow the transaction to be dynamically allocated to an individual location, depending on the location appearing in the transaction description.

    I have been told that this does not currently exist.

  15. When setting up suppliers in "Contacts" within Xero, it would be great if Xero could perform a VAT check from a link to the HMRC website. There could be a button next to the VAT number box called "Check VAT" and then the supplier's VAT details (as per HMRC) would show.

    Furthermore, it would be great if there could be a VAT report that you could run each quarter to check whether all VAT numbers are correct. It might involve a bit more work for the bookkeeper to ensure they set up the supplier correctly in Xero, but it would…

  16. Please reduce the amount of screen clutter. Example shown. This is pointless information and not needed. It interferes with the flow of the already terrible new invoicing. There should be an option to hide this.

  17. Could you enhance customer accounts by automatically adding outstanding amounts from previous invoices to the next issued invoice as a separate line item called 'outstanding fees'? This ensures customers can pay the full amount due, not just the current invoice.

  18. The "Details" tab lists the employee's age under the "Date of birth" field.

    Having "Employed for # Years & # Months" below the "Start date" field would be handy. It would give a quick, "at a glance" look at how long someone has been employed by a business for estimating notice periods and anticipating imminent entitlement to LSL.

    Attached is what the "Date of birth" currently looks like (I've used my own name and birth year) and a mock-up of what I'm suggesting might look like.

  19. To be able to add an end date to a repeating invoice which is before the "next invoice date". Often clients do not receive notice that a repeating invoice will not be due until after the latest invoice has been sent. They don't want to delete the repeat invoice so they can see a history of previous repeats. Currently can't set an end date that is before the "next posting date".
