Overpayments - Convert to Bill for refunding
If a client has overpaid an invoice, or paid an invoice that has been voided/credited, when Ihave reconciled the incoming payment as an Overpayment, I would then like to be able to create a Bill from this payment so that the refund it sitting in Bills Awaiting Payment.

New Invoicing - Copy invoice to keep existing email
Thank you for delivering to keep the existing contact when copying an invoice. Now when you email the invoice the email address is not populated from the contact file. You have to go and look it up to send the copied invoice.
Please refer to the contact details and pre-populate their contact email addresses.

5 votesSorry Lynne, It's a bit hard to troubleshoot and get the detail to understand why your contacts details like email aren't coming through to your copied invoice. I've just tested this with Draft and approved invoices being copied and the email of the contact was bought through each time as expected. I'd recommend raising this with our specialist through the Contact Xero Support option in Xero Central for closer inspection.
Thanks for also checking on this, Olga - that message on defaults application is related to the Sales defaults saved against inventory items or the contacts record but doesn't apply to the contacts personal details. These should be applied when copying an invoice.
To explain a little more - The reason defaults aren't automatically applied is because the line item fields will be prefilled with the information from the existing invoice that the new one is copied from.

Bank Accounts page - Filter bank accounts by unreconciled
I have 22 bank accounts and loans on the "Bank accounts page". It would be good if I could quickly filter the unreconciled ones to the top, rather than scrolling through looking for unreconciled accounts.

eInvoice - Ability to add this to a contact record
eInvoice option should be able to be set in a clients contact card much like the Xero to Xero network key or as an option where these options are when emailing the invoice.

Bank Reconciliation - Reconcile expense claim against multiple statement lines
When an expense claim is created via Xerome a 'spend money' transaction is created instead of a bill which means that if there is more than 1 payment against this claim I cannot opt to split the transaction when reconciling the payments. There needs to either be an option to split or the expense should create a bill rather than a 'spend money' to enable easier reconcilliation

currency column in tracking summary
For the line items in the Tracking Summary, please include a currency column! Historically this was available. Calculating commission now takes WAY longer. Seems like it should be an easy fix.

2 votesHi Anna, when you say overdue amount would this be when sending an invoice to a customer and only showing the amount left to pay? If so, this is already possible with the email the customer receives and you can adjust the body of the invoice email to include the Amount due placeholder.

New invoicing - Move branding field to right and make consistent with Quotes
Please be consistent with the location of the "Branding Theme" field.
You have placed the "Branding Theme" field in different places, in the Quotes page it's on the right and in Invoicing it's on the left. Can you please put it in the same place consistently. As a user you learn where fields are and automatically go to them, so this is annoying.
My preference would be to keep it on the left.

receive/spend money
It would be most helpful if we could edit "receive/spend money" with "Bank receipt/payment", where "Bank" is replaced by the name of the bank, i.e. HSBC or Barclays, etc.

AU Payroll - Line item breakdown of payslips - YTD
Hi, It would be great if payslips line items match the 'pay template' pay items or alternatively, for pay items that have a YTD amount to be shown on all payslips (with the Nil or $amount for the current pay period as applicable with the YTD) to breakdown 'Other Previous Earnings'.
This will also assist tracking multiple pay items where it can vary each pay cycle, coding and tracking STP rates and categories, YE finalisation and review. Many thanks.35 votes -
New Invoicing | Copy to - Purchase order
When a selecting the new invoicing platform, you lose certain functions.
The first function that has been lost is the ability to copy invoice data to a purchase order - this feature needs to added to the new platform as some business use this to purchase items that have been sold from a supplier and makes sure there are no errors.
The second function is when invoicing from Project the time entered for that project is no longer being allocated to an invoice and showing in the project as not invoiced, this will cause doubling up on billing.148 votesHi everyone, we appreciate your continued input and feedback on this feature here. Being able to copy to purchase orders and bills is something our team are monitoring feedback of closely and very much across the this idea, however there are a few other priority pieces of work that are currently of focus.
Right now, it is still possible to copy an invoice to a purchase order or bill from the list views(Draft, Awaiting approval, Awaiting Payment or Paid tabs). You'll find you can select the invoice/s and click 'Copy to...' - You can find out more detail and ways of doing things within new invoicing through our guide on Xero Central.
We'll keep you in the know here of any progress or updates for this feature.

PROJECTS - Include Supplier Name and Invoice Date
Would it be possible to include supplier name and invoice date in the Tasks & Expenses tab, within Projects. We currently have to add this information in the materials line which is inefficient when the information is already within the transaction.

PROJECTS - Keep this as an add on or available for in the lower pricing bands
I am very concerned about the new pricing structure for your plans. I have a number of clients in the trades industry who only require project management for a maximum of two users, and the existing pricing plans would not / will not be conducive to their needs, if they don't already have Projects as an Add-On.
One of my existing clients is interested in adding Projects to their account, but with the current price plans it will cost an additional £29 per month to add just that; this option is far too expensive for them. For a small team…

AU Payroll - Superannuation end of quarter reminder
Would be great if Xero could trigger an automated (email and/or text) reminder to the superannuation payment approver 10, 5 and one days out from the superannuation due date each quarter.
A similar reminder feature already exists in XPM for Activity Statement Lodgements - reminders can be turned on.
Xero also has the ability to automate reminders to Customers around bill payment.
Xero has the email and SMS of the superannaution approver already on file.

Print receipts for batch payments
The ability to print receipts for batch payments is desperately needed.
Currently there is no way to print a receipt for batch payments. There is only the ability to email receipts or print deposit summary. Deposit summaries do not contain the level of detail that a receipt does.
Currently, to print receipts for payments recorded in a batch deposits you have to email the receipt to yourself first. Bank Rules - Ability to search by Account Code
It would be very useful to be able to search bank rules for an account code, since account codes cannot be archived/deleted if there is an associated bank rule. I eventually found the relevant bank rule but it was very time consuming to go through each bank rule individually - there can be hundreds of bank rules.

Bills - Temporary pop up after creating bill and view bill opening in new window
A slight nuisance when creating bills, that seems to have started happening as part of the new invoicing 'updates' as I never had these two issues before.
1) There is a certain bill transaction that I add monthly, usually 10-15 per month. The lines are always the same so for speed I always copy one bill to another and so on. Once I add the payment Xero sends me back to the home screen and a pop up appears in the bottom left hand corner to 'view bill'. I click on this to then copy the bill for the next…

Supplier Payment Receipts: ability to receipt remittances in Xero
Why can’t we simplify the process of submitting and reconciling remittances from suppliers using a "receive money transaction" in Xero? Currently, when we receive a remittance through Hubdoc, we must manually change it to 'receipt' before submitting it. This creates an invoice draft in Xero, which we end up deleting as it serves no purpose, leaving the remittance stuck in Hubdoc. This process is inefficient and doesn’t make sense.
