  1. Add drag and drop import feature or allow multiple journals to be import at the same time. For example adding daily sales/payment journals this would a gamechanger in time it take to complete these tasks

  2. Sending a statement with additional notes in the email. Is there a way to keep record of the additional notes. At the moment you only see under the contact's history and notes that a statement has been sent, but there is no record of the notes that was sent with the statement

  3. I want to suggest removing currency columns from default transaction report in the template - not having to update to remove them all the time. You end up with a double up and its harder to read. Every time I look at a ledger I have to untick the currency source columns and update. Can we just have Debit and Credit in the base template please?

  5. In an ideal world when a client pays us via Stripe 100% of the fee would be reconciled and XERO/Stripe would invoice us separately on a regular basis for the applicable Stripe fees.

  6. Are there any plans to incorporate Stripe Tax into Xero Invoices/Xero Quotes? Since Stripe is a common payment method, it would help us streamline our processes if Stripe Tax was an option when creating Quotes and Invoices in Xero.

  7. Please add a VAT Reconciliation Report for South African Xero Orgs.
    There is currently no report that allows users to determine which transactions in the VAT Control Account have been posted to which VAT periods and which returns they fall under. Late claims are not indicated anywhere except in the transaction detail within each VAT201, so the Control Account needs to be reconciled externally in excel.
    This is particularly an issue when a conversion from another accounting software has taken place and there are opening balances to reconcile. Or if conversion took place mid VAT period.

  8. I'd like to be able to assign particular expenses to an invoice. Currently I can mark an expense as invoiced but it woul dbe much better if we could select which invoice it's actually been included on.

  9. Item price - to be able to change the item price on a set date and it update automatically on that date.
    When we give customers notice of a price change, sometimes this is months in advance. Now I know I could add a note to the item, but seriously, this would mean checking the notes for every item which would become very tiresome + time consuming.

  10. “Send via Xero Network” feature in your invoicing system, which have negatively impacted our workflow and client payment behavior.

    Since the update, this option now appears at the bottom of the invoice, while the sending process begins at the top. This disjointed placement is not intuitive and often leads to it being overlooked. More importantly, the system does not remember this selection, requiring us to manually enable it every time we send an invoice.

    Is there a particular invoice or transaction you're trying to find there, Samele? Appreciate your screenshot, as shown search primarily looks at the contact, reference or invoice number.

    Sorry to hear your frustration, James. If there are multiple transactions that could possibly match the statement line Xero will show these so you can choose the most appropriate.

    I appreciate we may not always be working on what you're after however I can assure you there are many ideas that our product teams do pick up and develop from our community. Last year alone we delivered solutions for over 350 ideas that were raised here on the site.

  13. Currently when creating batch payment files, multiple bills to the same payee are combined into a single line with only one set of bank payment details (although they appear separate on the batch payment screen in Xero).

    Sometimes different bank reference details are needed for each payment, and sending the details in a remittance advice is inappropriate - it would be helpful if the lines could remain separate rather than combined so that unique bank reference details could be added against each line for the same payee

  15. Currently, Xero does not have the feature to assign certain working days for part time employees. This becomes very frustrating when doing payroll.

    For instance, an employee works Wednesday to Friday and when a public holidays falls on a Monday, Xero will allocate either all or some of the employees ordinary hours to this date incorrectly. This means we will have to manually adjust it each time.

    A simple resolution would be to set up employees to certain working days, then the public holidays would assign correctly and there would be no need to manual adjustments.

  16. Purchase Orders - ability for the suppliers that you send the Purchase Order, to view the document online and have the option to import the Purchase Order to Quotes and Sales Invoices.

    The Purchase order area of Xero feels a bit underdeveloped at the moment. However, one strong step would be to allow Purchase orders sent by Company A from their Xero account to be transferred to Company B's Xero Sales area at the click of a button (giving an option of Quote or direct to sales invoice).

  17. Fixed Assets - Add tax depreciation for UK
    At the moment, only the Australian version of Xero offers a tax depreciation function. We need this feature in the UK version too if Xero Tax is to be considered as a serious Tax software.

  18. There isn't anywhere in Xero where we can add brief feedback. This would be helpful to have in the help menu please.

    For example there is a new issue after the new updates on invoicing - this feature would allow a quick notification to Xero that something needs fixed or we are super impressed with new changes! It takes too long to add something to product ideas (like now), to be ignored or gather a lot of voters before something is fixed. Same with raising a case, most of the time it wont be a fix, we get directed back…

  19. What's most wrong with the new invoicing template is that the most useful features have been shifted to to the bottom of the layout , so you have to scroll to the bottom to use them. Also the default of approve and send is not the best option , approve would be better ( or perhaps a way to choose that box default would be terrific. Also to attach files , all the way to the bottom we go, thats crazy . also the size of the template is too big , it needs to be more compact its adds…

    It helps for each of the points you've raised to be tracked separately so our teams can consider the votes as a factor when prioritising and planning development, as well as keeping the communication clear of the changes we're making.

    Trying to get a better view of the placement of buttons that you mentioned - would this just be the Attach files option or is there another that you would like to see shifted above, too?

  20. It would be useful if when manually adding an expense to a project, there could be a description box available as well as entering the expense name. We sometimes need to elaborate on those costs for the numerous people looking at that expense but there is no-where to put this information unless it's added to the expense name.
