  1. Add additional customisable reference fields to invoices. Other softwares allow this.

    For example, I have a client who runs a garage and currently uses Quickbooks. Their Quickbooks invoices have been customised to have 3 custom reference fields; vehicle registration, vehicle type and mileage. Xero only allows for a single reference by default.

We all know that legally we have to have a receipt for each transaction, it would make life (and my brain) so much easier if on the reconcile page when it shows up as green (for an existing matched bill pending) that it would be a different colour if that bill had an attachment on it so I wouldn't have to check before pressing the 'ok' button. A simple one but something that would save so much time and surely the programming to match for the green can be amended to identify an attachment on the bill.

  6. when invoicing on the new invoicing system the standard is set to "Aprove & Email" but it should be set to just "Aprove"?

    This is adding more work and mouse clicks to a busy workload..
    when I want to send invoices by email, I send my invoice pdfs via my business email system so it can be tracked better but also it is better.

    Also I print off invoices that get sent by post in a package or given by hand.

    I am sure many other businesses will be the same, Xero should not assume all invoices are sent by…

    An update in the last few months bought inconsistency into the invoicing format in terms of the decimal points on the unit pricing. It would be good to be able to define this - to two, three, four decimal points so that there is consistency on the invoices rather than some units at two and some at four decimal points.

  8. Xero Australia new invoicing currently lets you select the fields visible (show/hide fields) when preparing an invoice. However, it doesn't save the selection preference.

    For example... deselecting the 'Project' field when preparing an invoice (it is default 'on'), does not mean that each time you go to an invoice, the field is deselected - it returns to default so you have to deselect the field every time. Important, as with the other chosen fields, you need to scroll across the screen to see all the fields. By removing one, you can can see all fields.

  9. New Invoicing. If we can not view invoices in Classic Invoicing from February can you please change it that when you view a invoice it shows the amount is tax exclusive. In Classic Invoice the Amounts are Tax Exclusive but when viewing in New Invoicing the Amounts are tax inclusive. I do not know any bookkeeper that would like this. It is going to be time consuming when want to calculate and add retentions.

  10. It would be wonderful to have the option to use HH:MM format for timesheet entries, instead of only decimal time. Hard to convince employees to do timesheets as it is, but to also ask them to convert two weeks of project works over numerous jobs into decimal format is a big ask! Not many people are used to entering 4.6667 hrs instead of 4hrs 40min. If this is a feature of Xero Practice Manager, can it not be easily made available to the rest of us?

  11. Awaiting payment - max 200 bills.
    I have a supplier who I pay monthly and there are always over 200 bills. I want to make one batch payment for the whole amount, but currently I have to do it on two - the first 200 bills, and then the remaining. Please can this 200 limit be increased?

  12. We need more flexibility in depreciation schedules to add Second Hand Capital Works Assets for rental properties.
    When you buy a second hand rental property, the capital allowances available under Div 43 needs to be calculated on the original cost, however, the total amount remaining to be claimed will be less than this original amount. Fixed Assets in Xero does not currently allow for this. We need to calculate the depreciation on a straight line basis based on the original cost, not what we paid for it and we need to be able to include an opening written down value,…

  13. Banking Feed Login - Direct Xero Notification

    I receive direct notifications from my bank platform when my business account is being accessed. Having the bank account linked to Xero is functional, but creates some security anxiety as I receive notifications from the banking platform about a login and then need to check if it is Xero. A direct notification - or even just email notification - from the Xero app would be helpful to cross reference and know that the specific login is Xero and not a security threat. I have searched quite extensively but haven't found this option.

  17. Allocating each credit note individually is time consuming and an unnecessary process.

    Introduce a better way where credit notes could either be batch allocated without having to go onto each individual one, or allocate multiple at once on the allocation screen.

    When a supplier requests a copy remittance it would be easier to be able to go into their contact page and check/send a remittance from there instead of having to look at the batch remittance and send from there.

    This page states I can set up custom notifications in the business section under features and notifications but this is not available in my xero, only 'practice organizations' have these features.

    I want to be able to set up notifications or reminders for my staff. For example to follow up a sent quote or other tasks.

    Also, I think quotes should have the same reminder system as invoices as I think this will assist with getting quotes accepted.
