  1. After the customer accepts the quote, we need to book the work in. It doesn't get invoiced until the work is complete. It would be helpful if we could add an "Expected Start Date" to quotes after they've been accepted, or at least be able to mark it as "Booked".

    Hi Danielle, when you say you'd like to post an application. Could quotes potentially be a fit for this purpose here? Otherwise could you share a bit more detail on what would be needed to record the application in Xero.

  3. Ability to send or check remittances from individual contact page
    When a supplier requests a copy remittance it would be easier to be able to go into their contact page and check/send a remittance from there instead of having to look at the batch remittance and send from there.

  4. For the Aged Receivables it would be helpful to know what customers owe us as well as what we owe them. We take deposits for future invoices and they don't show on the Aged REceivable Summary.

  5. Link to Invoices on Custom Statements

    Xero recently added a link to Invoices on the Standard Statement. Thank you! However, this is only helpful if you're using the Standard statement. We would like to be able to add the Invoice link on Custom statements as well.

  6. Make archiving and restoring contacts more intuitive and user-friendly.

    Option for archiving contacts should be select from drop-down menu or click on "the 3 dots" and select.

    Having to find an historical invoice allocated to an archived contact in order to restore them is super-unhelpful and counterintuitive. MUCH better to include archived contacts in Contacts options and include a "Restore" option via "press and hold", drop-down or the 3 dots.

    Hi Bradley, have you tried archiving and restoring contacts from the Contacts list? From here simply select the contact/s you'd like to archive and you'll see the option at the top of the list turn blue for you to click.

    When you'd like to restore a contact you'll find the Archive tab as an option from this same screen, where you can click on the contact to open it's record and there is a blue Restore option in the top right.

  7. Ability to be able to add multiple line items to expense claim bill, like a normal bill, when expense claims are submitted through Xero Me. When a singular cost is associated with multiple jobs, being able to add a second or third line etc to divide this cost within the bill and assign to project accordingly would be far better than having to upload the same expense claim multiple times with different portions of costs allocated.

    When in "Bill Expense Claims" once the expense claim has been approved, under the "Bill Options" there is only the option to "Void" unlike…

  8. Xero needs to create a subscription purely designed for sole traders.
    Applications like hnry are alot more user-friendly and a subsciption plan designed purely for sole traders who want to manage their own returns would be great. It would also be ideal to have the subscription cost refined for this type of usage also

    Hi Shyam, this likely depends on your needs as a Sole trader and the type of features you need when using Xero. If you're wanting to process payroll for yourself the Ignite plan offers this for 1 person, as well as access to many features across Xero that will help you record expenses, track and manage your business on Xero. Is there something in particular about this plan or it's offerings that don't fit your needs? See more of our plan offerings on our website.

  9. I raise invoices for clients who provide services to government departments and have project managers involved. This requires me to send an invoice to the accounts department who may have einvoicing and to the project manager who does not have access to the financial software and therefore requires a copy of the invoice which also confirms to them that the invoice has been submitted to accounts. Would it be possible to have another option when preparing an invoice to Approve, Send (as an e-invoice) and Email all in one process?

    Interesting to here your feedback here, and would be good to get a wider sense of customers that have similar scenario here. We don't have any plans for adding this option atm, but we'll update you here if anything changes. Thanks

  10. Workers Comp pay item leave accrual idea.

    There is an option to "Accrue Leave for this Earnings Rate" when setting up the WC pay item.

    What would be good is the option to accrue for AL or PL separately as this alters according to state law eg in WA, AL is accrued but not PL on WC payments.

    It’s interesting to hear the different ways our users invoice and we appreciate you sharing how we could improve the flow of entry for you here. Being open this isn’t something we have plans for right now, however as our team plan further developments within invoicing, we’d like to engage you all here. To help our product teams get a better understanding of our invoicing users for future improvements, we’ve put a survey together and would love to hear your feedback through this.

  12. Ability to add CC/BCC on every outgoing Statement Of Accounts to customers.
    Purpose: Internal colleagues or stakeholders allows for a clear record of who received the statement and the context of the communication.
    It enables easier response and ensures everyone involved is aware of the situation.

    Thanks for sharing in product ideas 🙏, as you may have noticed with invoices it is possible to cc and Bcc for sending individual invoices at present. As we continue to build out the Sales experience this may be something we look to expand to other areas of Xero, like Statements.

  13. Payroll - Auto calculate the leave entitlement on employee including the accrual from the current pay period to exhaust all leave before unpaid leave is applied.

  15. The option to view the product descriptions when in the Product and Services list should already be a feature.

    Many of our products have an abbreviated item name, with the description containing the expanded product information. Opening individual products to view the description takes a significant amount of time as we have over 1,500 items.

    It is also the product description, not the product item name, that appears on invoices to customers, so it only makes sense to be able to view the descriptions from the P&S list.

  16. As Dext could work with tracking categories from Xero, could you please allow this option for Projects as well? So all stuff on Dext to be allocated against projects in advance before been published on Xero.

  18. Currently the display name for payroll items doesn't extend to timesheets. So the employee sees the rate name. Really an employee should only see the display name and the rate name should be for/staff/admin/advisors. I would like to enter the default rate in the rate name as there is also no prompt in the employee file if you choose to use earnings rate to see what the rate is. You need to go back to payroll setting to check which is inefficient.

  19. I would like to be able to drag and drop supplier invoices as PDFs into the JAX chat window as attachments.

    JAX should allow me to include additional prompts before processing the invoice.

    For example, how to handle different situations such as shipping and taxes listed in the supplier invoice.

    It would also be great if JAX could support currency conversion.

    For example:

    • Please import these bills and update the supplier contact details.
    • Assume the bills are tax exclusive.
    • Assume that the amounts on the invoice are MXN pesos and convert these to USD assuming the following USD exchange rate.

    Appreciate you separating out the different ideas you have for JAX on the site here, Mark. This has also been shared back with our team.

    We'll begin to track the interest from the community in being able to use JAX to import supplier bills here.

    In the meantime you may find the Upload feature in Bills handy for this sort of entry - however just to note it doesn't support currency conversion atm so will still require manually updating to reflect the correct currency.

  20. When your quote involves different vendors, it would be nice to have the option to create POs with a click of a button for all the vendors but because you can't specify a vendor for each item then at least let us select the line items. Also very important, any additional information that was added to the description during the quote / invoice process should be carried over to the PO.
