When adding products from suppliers, it would be great to be able to add multiple suppliers details on one product (to save having the same item listed multiple times with each individual suppliers codes/costs etc). For example Supplier 1: Coca Cola Cans, Code: 1234 Cost: £12.99, Supplier 2: Coca Cola Cans, Code: A1244, Cost: £19.50. Rather have Coca Cola saved twice had sections within that product for multiple suppliers.

  2. Could the Accounts Watchlist feature have an option to have user specific watchlists? The accounts I want to pay close attention to as Head of Finance is different to what the Finance Assistant wants to see. Not all accounts are organisation wide specific.

  4. Business snapshot - link to default custom Profit & Loss Report

    We use a custom Profit & Loss Report which is default.
    Unfortunately the Business snapshot links to the standard xero Profit & Loss Report not the custom default Profit & Loss report.
    Can the Business snapshot be changed to link to the custom default reports?

  5. Hi, I would like to be able to complete quotes correctly please. So for example, QU-6767 was accepted by the customer. The customer later decided that only one line of the quote was required, which was invoiced. I would now like to mark the remaining part of the quote as declined.

    It would therefore be helpful to have more options for the quotes system, to be able to mark the quote as partially invoiced and the remaining as declined, even after the quote has been accepted.

    I create monthly reports of accepted, declined and invoiced quotes. It would be helpful…

  7. Currently trying to use the new invoicing, but I'll start typing a contact name then tab across before seeing the contact pop up, since I use this contact daily. Under the old invoicing, it would just find the contact once I hit tab. Under the new invoicing, a new contact is created. And since the invoice is saved immediately, this new contact is also saved, so once I finish with the invoice, I then need to go and archive the contact that was created.
    Can we change the defaults or something to fix this?

    Hi community, appreciate your feedback. Currently our team are working on some improvements to the To field in new invoicing and the contacts card that appears when selecting a contact. We understand some of our customers make use of the keyboard much more than the mouse and in reviewing the flow when using Tab the team will be making a change to make selection of a contact and movement to the date field smoother. I'll come back to confirm the detail of the change when this is released.

  8. It would be great to have the ability that Xero gives you a warning when an item line in Invoicing has a $0.00 in the unit price before been approved.
    We have had clients that missed completing the price and then the Invoices are sent out.
    It would be handy if they got a reminder that this is $0.

    Thanks for sharing your idea with us, Gordon. As there are also legitimate scenarios where some customers may send 0.00 invoices adding an extra warning could also become frustrating.

    This is something we may consider as an optional control longer term but want to be upfront that we don't have any plans of right now. For now we'll get a sense of the interest in this from your idea here.

  9. It would save numerous steps if:

    When a new account is created from within a transaction (for instance spend money or journal entry) the option to add a reporting name was available, instead of having to update later through the chart of chart of accounts.

    When creating a new account, through the chart of accounts or elsewhere, that the Report Code mapping category could be allocated at the same time.

  10. The repsonse to my support case was to be told to post the bug here... seems a weird request, but sure...
    "The best way to get our product team to consider this would be to create a new product Idea on this, which is submitted to our product team who then go ahead and make changed based in priority."

    The santander batch file does not follow the santander format. In the past Santander used to accept the file anyway but they have now started rejecting it.

  12. Current user role permissions require the Standard or Advisor role to use the auto pay feature for invoices. However, this role also reveals financial information that a sales rep should not have. Our sales reps, therefore, have Invoice Create/Edit capabilities. Within these capabilities, or perhaps as an optional toggle, I would like them to be able to set up auto pay and see if it is active so they can get it set up for clients as part of the closing process.

  15. Please remove the requirement to have a date of birth for an employee.
    We have been asking for this to be removed for years, Xero recently told us it was an IRD requirement. We contacted our account manager at Inland Revenue and they said it is not an IRD requirement and that they have been in contact with Xero Payroll to make the field non-compulsory.

    The workaround that Xero gives of adding a made up date does not work and causes issues where IRD send letters that the date of birth does not match that client.

  17. It's currently not possible to export the Income Tax Self Assessment figures for the MTD for Income Tax quarterly submissions as a PDF to include them in a documents pack for client's approval via e-signature in Xero.

    This would be helpful from April 2026, so accountants can gain client's approval prior to submission with HMRC.

  18. Add the feature to run customer/supplier activity report for a range of customers.

    Xero team quote "this is already possible however it exists within a different report. You can run either the Receivable or Payable Invoice Detail or Summary reports, where you'll be able to filter and select the contacts you'd like to run the report for."

    But it is not we required. Receivable only show outstanding receivable , not all transaction during the selected period for that customer.

    We would like to have some sort like customer movement report with selected filter of a range of customer.

    Hi there, appreciate you trying the report we shared in your last post. Taking on board your recent feedback, it still sounds like this is something you could get with Xero's existing reports.

    For example in the Receivable Invoice Details report, you could Group by Contact, select the Date Search to run by Due date, and add a filter for Status to only show invoices that are Approved or Sent, excluding those that are Paid.

    Alternatively the Aged Receivable Details report will offer similar information on only the invoices that are outstanding at the date the report is run.

    Hi everyone, appreciate the feedback of the layout of detail in the Billable expenses modal of new invoicing. I've made sure to share your feedback here with the team.

    To confirm, right now the date column is still included in this view however if you have a few billable expenses to assign you'll need to scroll down and then will see a horizontal scroll bar so you can scroll across to the date. Understand this isn't the most obvious atm, and I'll keep you updated here of any planned change.

  20. What I need is for it to look like the Payroll Employee Summary, but with additional columns for Annual & Personal leave taken and the value of that leave.
    The report you are telling me is to messy to read.
