  1. On normal "blue" Xero, for each contact there is a Files and Notes Tab - it would be great if on the top banner there is a an icon to flag when there is content in that tab.

    Also, on the Activity Tab, there could a column to indicate when an invoice or bill has an File attached, as it appears when viewing all invoices or all bills (not under each specific contact).

  4. In the new invoicing version, when selecting the billable expenses, I can't see the date and the supplier in one view. In order to see the date, I need to scroll to the bottom of the pop-up screen, then scroll across to the right, then try to scroll up to find the line item. I then can't see the supplier to know if that is the correct line to add. Sometimes there are 30+ billable expenses for the one client and I can't see the dates to know if I'm selecting the correct ones.

  5. Why have you removed the calendar from invoicing? I have already seen how it works so no need to say pick another date. Previously when clicking the issue date it had all of this month plus the last week of the previous month. Very easy to click on the correct date. Now the only option is today or tomorrow. Most of the time the date is previous days as well so you could at least have that as an option. Then the copy function from a previous month takes way longer as well. Then the approval, email functions take longer…

  6. Allow Xero user to add additional columns to "Transaction report" so that a report can be sent to each credit card holder in the business confriming where the items on their statement were coded in Xero. This report would accompany their credit card statement each month.
    It proactively ensures coding and subsequent department, management and board reporting is correct. This saves time, effort and unnecessary republishing of reports.

  7. Classic view invoicng compared to the new view invoicing. The new version shows figures entered as 123456789.00 but Classic View correctly shows 123,456,789.00. All figures should be shown in 123,456,789.00 format. It's accounting after all! This is not a suggestion, this should be a bug fix, especially before new invoicing is enforced.

  8. With the new invoicing option, the line item descriptions (when not using a stock item) are changed from what is actually entered. With all the other complaints about the new invoicing, this is being ignored.
    I have raised this ERROR in all the other issues regarding the new invoice entry, so decided to raise it as a separate issue.
    How can a software company change what is entered?
    Basically the software is doing an automatic 'Trim' of all details entered on each line which eliminates the ability of the customer to format an invoice how they want.

We used saved invoice drafts with set templates for customers and we have noticed that when "saving & close" that any accounts that have a $0 value are now not saving and reverting to random accounts. Current advice from support is that we put $1 values into account lines so that they stay the same account, just so the account codes do not disappear, but this can cause risk of invoices with wrong values. We want to save draft invoices with $0 values as before "Approving" the invoice, we might change details or add in new values to accounts that…

  10. Thanks for fixing Over payments in the new system - works great! - 1 adjustment - the account menu pops - UP not Down, and bank accounts are off the top of the screen need a lot of scolling, can you change to normal pop-down please? (like the Date Paid menu)

  12. The new invoicing doesn't work properly with Projects! A disaster for me this morning - trebled the time it takes to do my weekly Projects invoices. When it falls over because it can't find the GL Code to use, and doesn't even have subtotal and total fields....did someone forget about that when they were adding all the new empty space on the screen and screwing the work flow up?

    Hi Karen, this does sound like odd behaviour and would be good to get a closer look into. I see you've also come into our Xero Support team and they've suggested booking a time to connect and share screen so they can see the behaviour occurring for you.   14. I really need your Batch Payment Summary Report to have the total you are paying to each supplier. It helps us to check we are paying the correct amount as we usually pay off statement. It is very frustrating that I need to print off the report and check for a 3rd time as you don't give the option to print what you want to pay without accepting the batch then if you make a mistake you have to start all over again. Perhaps there is something I am missing but Batching Payments is not your greatest feature especially for…

  16. We require a bridging letter to the SOC Type 2 report to cover the period 1 November 2023 to 30 June 2024 for audit purposes. When querying Support I was referred back to the generic link to download the above report. How do I obtain a bridging letter for the remaining period?

  17. In product ideas and community discussions, can the country of the poster be automatically included (or optionally included with a checkbox).

    Many questions and ideas are country-specific, especially around payroll. Posters are not including their country in their posts. A more automatic way of doing it will save a lot of confusion and wasted time from peole responding to them.

  19. Please change the location of the pop up message "default contacts have been applied". When creating a new invoice, the pop up message appears in the bottom left, but I'm trying to look at my contact info and enter data. The pop up box lingers too long and covers the information I need to enter, interfering with the data entry! This is frustrating every time when creating multiple invoices and I have to "x" the pop up message away each time, which then causes extra steps and takes longer.   20. I have been disappointed to find that the tax calculations on invoices with multiple line items are incorrect due to line item rounding, making our invoices invalid. At a minimum, Xero's tax calculations should always be accurate.

    Currently, Xero calculates the tax on each line item, rounded to 2 decimal places, then sums the tax at the bottom by tax component. If an invoice has multiple line items, this rounding approach results in incorrect total tax amounts.
