  1. The email template, for example sales invoice, controls most of the email body but not all of it. If the email template starts "Hi [Client]" for example, the actual email generated automatically adds content before this, namely a logo, company name, amount and due date. I would like to be able to control this content as well, but it seems unchangeable. In contrast, the invoice template allows full control so you can apply various branding. Please can you open up all the email content to be controlled by the template.

  2. We all know that legally we have to have a receipt for each transaction, it would make life (and my brain) so much easier if on the reconcile page when it shows up as green (for an existing matched bill pending) that it would be a different colour if that bill had an attachment on it so I wouldn't have to check before pressing the 'ok' button. A simple one but something that would save so much time and surely the programming to match for the green can be amended to identify an attachment on the bill.

  3. Invoices Australia
    An update in the last few months bought inconsistency into the invoicing format in terms of the decimal points on the unit pricing. It would be good to be able to define this - to two, three, four decimal points so that there is consistency on the invoices rather than some units at two and some at four decimal points.

  4. It would be wonderful to have the option to use HH:MM format for timesheet entries, instead of only decimal time. Hard to convince employees to do timesheets as it is, but to also ask them to convert two weeks of project works over numerous jobs into decimal format is a big ask! Not many people are used to entering 4.6667 hrs instead of 4hrs 40min. If this is a feature of Xero Practice Manager, can it not be easily made available to the rest of us?

  5. We need to be able search for items which have no account or account code allocated to them in error. There is no way to search for 'unallocated Accounts' under account transactions.

  6. print filler character (such as *) on amount lines to prevent check fraud. Currently this can only be done by manually editing the check pdf in another program - very cumbersome!

    Hi Danielle, when you say you'd like to post an application. Could quotes potentially be a fit for this purpose here? Otherwise could you share a bit more detail on what would be needed to record the application in Xero.

  9. Ability to send or check remittances from individual contact page
    When a supplier requests a copy remittance it would be easier to be able to go into their contact page and check/send a remittance from there instead of having to look at the batch remittance and send from there.

    This page states I can set up custom notifications in the business section under features and notifications but this is not available in my xero, only 'practice organizations' have these features.

    I want to be able to set up notifications or reminders for my staff. For example to follow up a sent quote or other tasks.

    Also, I think quotes should have the same reminder system as invoices as I think this will assist with getting quotes accepted.

  11. For tracked inventory items, there's no way to change the inventory asset account which can be inconvenient. As the inventory grows, they are put under new different classifications so I want to add a new inventory asset account for each. However, I cannot change it in the item's inventory asset account when it is already tracked. It would be very helpful if this will be allowed. Or at least a way to delete a tracked item if there's no transactions/bills, but only adjustments.

  12. As a bookkeeper, I want Xero to support bank feeds for my company’s Certificate of Deposit (CD) savings accounts. My financial institution (Chase) sends data on my CDs to the Xero feed, however, Xero ignores the CD accounts in feed. CDs are supported by other FinTech companies with similar feeds, and should be a low effort feature for Xero to implement.

  14. I'm pretty sure many businesses, like us, invoice some or all of their clients on an annual basis for services delivered across that year. In that case, we post the income from those invoices to an 'Income in Advance' account and then set up a monthly repeating journal to allocate 1/12th of that revenue from the 'Income in Advance' account to the correct P&L income account.

    This is a slow and cumbersome process that is prone to human error. For instance, when a client leaves, we have to delete their annual repeating invoice and remember to delete their corresponding monthly…

  15. It would be really useful to see the contact name on the History and Notes report.
    We use this report to track bank account changes but we also check newly added supplier bank account details. Seeing which contact each line relates to would help us group them and know if an 'Edited - Bank.....' relates to the same contact as a 'Created' so we don't need to go into each line

  16. Mobile/ipad bank reconciliation

    Request to show in the suggested green match it is 1 of many if more than 1 matching invoice (as it does in desktop)

    Else payments can be matched to incorrect same value invoices - what a headache to fix later..

    AND

    … find and match can only search by name or invoice number -

    Please add to search by invoice amount (as this will help with when there are multiples to choose the correct one)

  17. Please make audible alerts to "messages", tips, etc optional.
    I wear earphones and work across multiple devices and it is quite irritating to hear "bloop" when working across multiple tabs.

    We don't need more vapid sounds in our lives!

It would be great to be able to split a supplier invoice down into instalments. ie, I receive an invoice for $1200 dated 01/01/2025 which is to be paid over 12 monthly instalments of $100 on the 15th of each month, I would like the due date to reflect this, so that when running cashflow the $100 shows as due on the 15th of each month.

  19. I have a client that sometimes has 20+ inventory items on a bill, with similar description, but sizes different. They enter bill in a logical sequential order, but when you add them to the invoice, all to same invoice, its not split between different customers, the items are in a different order with no order, not even items code. IT frustrating client in the process to reorder the items it taking much longer
