Hi there, would be awesome to be able to have a column in the Xero Tracking Summary Report which would sum up the quantities from what you entered in the quantity column in the Receive Money/Spend Money when you reconcile the transactions. This is especially important when organisations are measuring the quantities (eg. number of trips taken; number of food parcels handed out) are used with Xero. As it takes a lot of time to go into each transaction and see what the quantities are to get the group total, this feature would save people a lot of time.

  3. It would be helpful if the short-term cash flow could be integrated with the budget. Since we operate on 30-day end-of-month payment terms, the cash flow is often inaccurate. The sales figures are the primary element we would like reading from the budget.

  4. It is not possible for CIS returns to be marked as filed when submitted outside of Xero, resulting in historic returns showing as overdue.
    It would be helpful to mark CIS returns as filed when submitted outside of Xero, as is currently possible with VAT returns.

  5. Allow Xero to connect to a Stripe Test account, so we can create a temporary Xero account and test the Stripe integration, knowing completely what it will do with other integrations, how to train staff and manage edge cases of transactions.

I'm currently re-sending an invoice (manually sending a reminder) and I'd like to attach the email delivery receipt (which I have because I originally sent the invoice to me and then forwarded to the client from Outlook but that's a different set of bugfix/feature requests) as a file to the reminder. The only way to do this at the moment is to back out of the invoice sending screen, attach it to the original invoice and then send the invoice with the attachments both old and new.

    Aaah I see, thanks for the extra detail, Freya. Appreciate where you're coming from. With a few other items of focus for the team in this space atm, I do want to be open that there aren't any plans atm, but we'll track the interest here, I'll make sure this extra detail gets back to the team, and can share if there is any change to update you on, here.

  7. We are long term users of Xero and find many aspects of its functionality make our accounting functions easy! This is not the case in terms of Payroll entry….The Xero Me App does not come close to meeting the needs of a small business like ours….and I am sure we are not entirely unique!

    Our business is predominantly made up of casual employees who work different hours from day to day/week to week. Many of our employees also drive vehicles and require kilometre reimbursement.

    The biggest challenge we have is the accurate recording of employee hours…unfortunately, we have issues around…

  8. Xero has a guide to pro forma invoices but nowhere in help is explaining how to do this in Xero. https://www.xero.com/uk/guides/what-is-a-proforma-invoice/

    I suggest you create a help page advising users to use Quotes (or possibly drafts) with a custom layout to solve this issue.

  9. It is possible to see a list of bills not assigned to a project.

    However, I would like to be able to see a list of all transactions not assigned to a project including spend money and receive money.

  10. As we don't have the ability to turn off automatic posting of payroll, can you add nominal codes for ER NI & ER Pension, other analysis fields to employees records rather than at Company level to allow easier analysis and posting of payroll journal.
    There is a field on the employee record to enter the nominal code for their wages cost so why can't there be more fields for different codes?

  11. In files, previewing a PDF that has been uploaded or sent to files will not work for many chrome users.

    Upon opening in files, it gives the error "This file can't be previewed with this browser."

    This occurs if the user has google chrome, and has google chrome set to "Download PDFs" instead of "Open PDFs in Chrome."

    Many people have chrome set this way. Other sites have somehow managed to make their PDF preview still work...hopefully Xero can implement this. The current setup makes it very hard to review uploaded files when they are in PDF format, as they…

  12. It is remarkably convoluted to change the base currency even when no transactions have been posted. It only seems to be possible by cancelling the subscription and starting again. I rely on clients purchasing the software and it is not unknown for them to enter an incorrect base currency. I have used other systems where changing the base currency is very quick and easy. I suggest you make this a little easier.

  13. Allow the contact's account number <ContactAccountNumber> to be included on Branding Theme invoices (and other documents).

    The <ContactAccountNumber> is allowed to be included on system default invoices.

  16. Please allow the ability to add individual project P&L information to the web and mobile dashboard.

    We have project managers who look after specific projects that need to be tracked monthly/quarterly. The ability to save specific project information onto the dashboard would allow PM's to view this information at a quick glance

    I'm not talking about adding a favourite P&L report which has to be accessed via the drop down menu, I'm talking about being able to view multiple projects on the dashboard. I think expanding into project management would be helpful (without having the Projects tab)

  17. There is a new completely unnecessary and annoying column named "View" in the Bills reports. I can switch it off each time I open that report, but I would like to reset the default so it doesn't come up ever. To view a bill all I have to do is click into it, so the extra visual of the EYE is just very irritating. It isn't an issue with the Invoices.

  18. The "Suggest Previous" check box appears at the very bottom of the screen. This poor interface feature required me to log a support ticket to find it -- after the feature was dropped from an update.
    The time needed for me to reconcile tripled without this simple feature. More time was necessary by logging a support ticket.
    May I suggest:
    1. software updates maintain the existing settings, and
    2. place the "suggest previous" at the top of the screen where Users have a chance to see it.

    Hi Joe, the 'Suggest previous entries' option has always been located at the bottom of the Reconcile screen.

    Appreciate why you may want to see this further up the page and we'll get a sense of the interest in this here.

  19. Previously we were able to "Add billable expenses" to a "Copy to draft invoice". However, this feature is no longer available/showing up as an option when creating the draft invoice. Instead I have to save the invoice as a draft and re-open, then I'm able to add the billable expense.

  20. When we receive an email from Approval Max stating that someone has rejected a bill, it has a link to the bill in Xero. When you open the link, there's no way to edit/amend the invoice from this screen.

    Please add an edit button.

    Currently, from this screen, to edit the invoice, we need to go to:
    Bills To Pay > Drafts > search for the invoice > then edit it

    Too many additional steps to edit the invoice, it should be easy from that first link.
