  1. Currently when you create and apply a credit note to a sales invoice, as soon as you hit approve it'll take you back to the invoice, so I then have to click back into the credit note.
I'd like to have a dropdown option to approve & email the credit note to the customer if possible.

Hi everyone, appreciate your interest in a shared calendar for Payroll in NZ. With payroll products being worked on quite separately we have split this idea out from this one, so we can track the interest for this in each product and keep you updated.

Being open this isn't something we have immediate plans for in NZ payroll, however we're keen to continue to track the interest and can keep you updated if there are any developments.

  3. Import complete payroll information including earnings, deductions, and overtime etc from an Excel/CSV file

  4. Hi All,

On cash coding screen, it would be great if there was an option to freeze the heading panels so you dont have to keep scrolling up if you have millions of lines to code. Eg: to uncheck all

    Thank you so much.

Thanks for sharing, Jenal. It's not something we have planned at present, but we'll get a sense of the overall interest for this here and keep you updated.

In the meantime, appreciate it's not exactly what you're after here, however to save you scrolling perhaps you could use the Home and End keys on your keyboard to more easily navigate the page. 🙂

  5. It is impossible to us the credit card bankfeed function and allow for the credit card user to account for these expenses in Xero Me.
Solution: allow for credit card transactions to pull through into Xero Me via automatic sychronisation. This should provide a more streamline approach to recordinng individual company card expenditure, remove time in reconciling missing receipts and remove duplication.

  6. When exporting reports to Excel they are coming in with very narrow row heights. By Default Excel will create a row height 4 points larger than the font. Eg: default font is 11 points and row height is 15 points. If I increase the point size, the row height increases.

My exported reports have the general data at 9 points but the row height is at 11 points - and I'm constantly having to modify my spreadsheets.

It appears that Xero believes that a 2 point difference between font size and row height gives enough white space to make the…

Thanks Jay, so just to confirm are you saying you would want to give users access to just quotes and invoice, as well as reports and bank accounts?

Appreciate there are lots of different subsets of permissions our customers would like to see. Understanding the feature sets will help our product teams understanding.

  9. Instead of dragging rows and columns (which takes forever when you have long reports), can you implement a cut and paste instead?

  10. Hi Xero. I can log into Xero on my phone using facial recognition, but it's not available on my desktop, why is that? Should be easy to do, right? Current MFA whilst necessary is cumbersome, facial ID is simple and safe.

Great to hear that you find the Face ID authentication on your app useful, David. This may be something we bring to the desktop over time but isn't in the plans just yet. We'll feel out the interest for this from the idea here and I'll keep you updated of there's any news to share.

  11. Display the Credit Note/s applied to an invoice and payments made by date on a PDF document. Why is it that we can view these in the system but we cannot see this when printing invoices.
It would be so helpful to have this for clients to view exactly what they have paid and exactly what credit notes have been applied to an invoice.

If it is already on the systems for us to see, is it that hard to reflect this on the printed /emailed versions of invoices?

    please address this Xero!

  12. It would be great to have the ability that Xero gives you a warning when an item line in Invoicing has a $0.00 in the unit price before been approved.
We have had clients that missed completing the price and then the Invoices are sent out.
It would be handy if they got a reminder that this is $0.
    Thank you

Thanks for sharing your idea with us, Gordon. As there are also legitimate scenarios where some customers may send 0.00 invoices adding an extra warning could also become frustrating.

This is something we may consider as an optional control longer term but want to be upfront that we don't have any plans of right now. For now we'll get a sense of the interest in this from your idea here.

  13. On the Profit and Loss report there is no ability to show percentages, if tracking categories are used as a filter. We want to see COGS as a percentage of trading income, and Net Profit as a percentage of trading income.

  14. I am "one man band company" and use Mettle Bank in the UK. It offers the the facility to put money into "pots" so that I can save for things such as Corporation Tax, VAT payments etc. This is basically a bank account within a bank account and one which I find very useful. The downside is that there is no obvious means to keep track of what is in each pot within Xero and complicated by the fact Mettle does not stream the total in each pot via the connection only the total amount with the bank account itself.…

Hi Neil, perhaps worth engaging your accounting advisor on, however from the sounds you could create 'suspense' accounts in your chart of accounts to reconcile these amounts from your bank account too. Effectively when you make you create a transaction that is related to the amount that's been allocated to a pot you could then make a payment on the transaction to that 'pot' account in your organisation. This way you could run the Account Summary report to keep a constant track on the amounts you have unallocated in your pots.

  16. Overtime Report by employee in one easy to read report

Managerment required a report to analyse overtime per employee over the course of a year - in one report. Only option in Xero is to run report employee by employee. (which would be incredibly time consuming)

A simple report would be -

    - Rows would be list of employees
    - Columns would be all the overtime categories,

    - values would be sum of hours worked (or dollar value or both)
    - parametres would be between two given dates.

I could find no such useful report in Xero - instead I…

  17. The highest Xero subscription allows you to make 10 bill payments through Crezco and then you pay a fee per bill. This is a pain, as I now have to approve each 24p fee.
Please can I buy Crezco payments upfront?

Hi Bethany, thanks for sharing this suggestion for improving our reports.

We've reviewed your idea for an option to have Year-to-Date reports automatically generate columns for each month, which then total to the YTD figure. We can see how this dynamic layout would make monthly analysis much clearer and save time on report setup.

Your suggestion is now ready to gain support from other community members. Along with votes, others can now comment to share how a report that automatically adds monthly columns as the year progresses would improve their own financial analysis.

  20. Customise comparison dates

When running a P&L or any other report with comparison data, it would be handy to be able to customise the date range of the comparison data. Some reports have an option of custom date range, but it's greyed out.
