  1. Hi, Is it at all possible on the Product and Service where we create codes for the invoices, that under Purchase and Sell there is an option to add another line. By this I mean there are time when I create an invoice to a client under the same heading i want to have a line that show the price, the sales account and vat at 20%. Then another line to state a filing fee is zero rated. etc

    HI Karen, trying to better understand your idea here - would you expect this additional line to be visible to the customer on the invoice? If so you could simply enter this in the description field of the new line. If it's a process you see yourself often using you could save this as a new 'untracked' item where the price would be $0. 

  2. We need to know Potential Gross Profit when Quoting ( Obviously ! ).
    Potential Gross Profit = Estimated Charge minus Estimated Cost.

    I understand that Project Details reports and Project Summary reports require Time Spent to be entered or an Invoice to be generated before Gross Profit can be shown.

    But for Quotes we do not wish to generate an Invoice or record Time Spent, because a Quote is not a Project until it is awarded/won and does not require an Invoice until the Project is complete.

    Please can we have the capability to look at Potential Gross Profit equals…

  3. To lock future dates to avoid invoices being captured in the incorrect month or year. Or to show a warning when the invoice is posted to make the user aware that the invoice is post dated

  4. When you have grouped various account codes together in the layout there should be an option to expand or collapse the report when it is being prepared without needing to go back into the report layout to open/close each group.

    I can't imagine it would be too difficult for the development team to bring the functionality from the layout stage to the report stage.

  5. Please can we have the functionality to add more than one gocardless account to one organisation? We have a client account where funds are directed to a trust account under one account and then our normal gocardless account and would be great to be able to include both sets of transactions (at the moment we have one linked and the other is updated manually at the end of the month.)

  6. With ever changing minimum wage requirements (UK only) which are based on an employees age it would be useful to be able to have a 'one pager' report that lists the employee name and the current age. Their age is data which is already in Xero as part of the employee profile. A report would be useful to help payroll staff check who needs to move onto new wages / salaries based on age groups.

  8. Having recently started using advanced templates for our invoices, I've discovered that credits applied to invoices don't show separately and instead get added with payments, thus showing as net payments. I believe the credits field is only available for use on advanced statement templates so can the credits field be made available for adcvanced invoice templates please?

    That would then give us the ability to display the total amount credited on an invoice and the total paid towards it on separate lines.

  10. Reporting - Account Transactions - Group by Contact Group - Aged Receivable Transactions

    When I run the Account Transactions new report with Grouping as Contact Group, the option to add opening and closing balances is blocked. Is it possible to enable this so that we can use the report in lieu of a monthly activity statement for the Group.

  11. It would be helpful to be able to track who accepted a quote in the history and notes. The customer could have emailed the quote to another party within their organization who accepted the quote on their behalf and we have no way of showing accountability for this.

  12. create a remove and copy option (similar to remove and redo) which then copies all details from the transaction you are deleting to a new transaction to then recode rather than trying to remember all the details from the transaction you are deleting

    Interesting idea, Gary - will be good to get a sense of the interest in this. Can you share more detail of scenarios you're finding you encounter where you need to   copy a transaction to a new one when removing it? 

    Is there a reason editing is not an option?- Or would this commonly be with a payment transaction against an invoice/bill?  

  13. Ability in payroll to reinstate terminated employees past the 30 days Xero currently allows. Many businesses have seasonal workers or students who just work holidays, being able to reinstate the employee with all their information would be much easier than having to add them as a new employee every time they are re-employed. Most other payroll systems allow reinstatement of terminated employees.

  14. VAT Filing - Allow UK access to XPM/ Xero Tax for management and lodgement of VAT Returns (same as BAS in Australia).

    XPM links to HMRC and automatically creates clients draft VAT returns. The data is then imported from the VAT return in Xero.

    We can request client signature from within XPM with 3 automated email reminders and lodge VAT returns from within XPM.

  15. See who was selected as an approver by employees. If we have been selected as an approver by the employee, it is currently impossible to know if they also selected their appropriate approver to know if we should reject the timesheet or leave or if we can wait for the appropriate approver to approve the timesheet or leave.

  16. If a staff member has Manager User access to a client file this doesn’t allow them to add users to a file with Payroll Admin unless they have Payroll Admin permissions.
    It would be good if people are allowed to MANAGE the access without necessarily having themselves.
    Can this idea please get implemented as it will avoid adding administrators with Payroll Admin permissions to our large client list when it isn’t required.

  17. After grouping accounts using the 'edit layout' function it would be great to be able to either expand or collapse each group while viewing the report, rather than having to go back into the 'edit layout' section to change the way the group appears.

  18. In addition to individual accounts, it would be great to select a group total from the Balance Sheet (or P & L) to put in the Account Watchlist, eg if you have a number of loans and you want to see what Total Loans are on the dashboard.

  20. When processing backpay for employees where they have a Termination Date currently involves either an Unscheduled Pay run for a period the employee was employed or undo the Termination date, and run a payrun, then Terminate again.
    Both of these are very time consuming, particularly when there are some 40 employees over an 18 month period that need to be included who have a Termination date.
    It would be useful to have a function in a payrun to "include terminated employees" which keeps all the previous data, but includes them for the backpay without having to manual update each, just…
