New Invoices - New Contact search address by postcodeAs the new invoicing is no longer optional. I believe this issue must be addressed for all customers in the United Kingdom. When adding a new contact upon invoice creation, allow us to search for the address via postcode like we used to. This could be achieved by postcode search ABOVE Billing Address, then auto-populate the billing address based on the input post code. Invoicing - Longer Reference fieldIt would be better is the invoice reference could allow for input of longer names, without scrolling, so it's all on one line on the invoice. 
 Currently, the invoice number character length and the invoice reference character length are the same, which seems odd, as usually the invoice number is just a few characters, but the invoice reference can be long (project name, case name etc)14 votes

User Roles - Full remittance advice access for Invoice Only Approve and Pay userFor the 'approve and pay' user the remittance function is limited. They should have the functionality to send remittances on a batch payment and also be able to access the remittance button at a later date. An admin member of staff needs access to the full remittance capability in order to complete their duties fully. 12 votes

Invoicing - Allow Item and Description-only lines, with no Qty or Unit PriceWhen choosing item code and description, I want the ability to leave the rest of the fields blank. Classic invoicing had no problems with it. The new invoicing wants to populate QTY, UNIT PRICE and AMOUNT. Makes the invoice look unappealing. -

Your feedback has been valuable in understanding the needs of using description only lines to; add subheadings, provide context for grouped charges, and ensure your invoices are easy for your clients to read and understand. To reconfirm, atm - You can add one-off description only lines as you enter an invoice. However, if you add detail to any other field the line will be treated as a 'financial' line and you'll need to include Qty, Unit price, Account and Tax rate. - We know some users have set up and saved inventory items for description only lines they commonly use, however as the item code field is used for inventory items the line of the invoice is treated as 'financial' meaning you'll then need to include Qty, Unit price, Account and Tax…

AU Payroll - Option to include Public Holiday hours in Unpaid leave typesAt this stage Xero doesn't recognise if an Employee is on Unpaid Leave. Xero's default behaviour when an employee (that is assigned to a holiday group) submits a request for a period of Unpaid Leave spanning one or more public holidays, is to exclude those Public Holidays from the calculated Unpaid Leave hours. This has the effect of allocating those Public Holidays as paid hours in a pay-run rather than as unpaid hours. AU Payroll - Employer ExpensesPLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE add an option to Payroll that allows employer expenses to be processed. The Union our company is a member of insists we pay as an employer expense into a redundancy program and also an income protection program for each employee. The Union demands that the payments are detailed on each employees payslip. We can only do this if we have an employer expense option. One of my clients in the United Kingdom uses the UK version of XERO and their version allows for this. Come on Australia, catch up!!! 3 votes

Invoicing - Make the History & Notes the same as in Classic InvoicingPlease leave the history of an invoice EXACTLY as it was in the classic invoicing. The new invoicing doesn't show the invoice that it was copied from or copied to and this is very important as a trail. I really don't understand why so many important features from the classic invoicing has been omitted. New Invoicing - Option to switch Autosave offI don't want autosave on for invoicing - I use third party software to copy invoice details to a Trello Card, this is triggered when the invoice is saved. 
 Auto saving will send the invoice info through to Trello before the invoice is complete, meaning not all the info will be sent to Trello.

Our product team has continued to focus attention on how we can make invoicing faster and more responsive to improve our customers' experience. We've now optimised autosave to require less processing power, leading to faster invoice loading and saving. While we don't have any plans to remove autosave, there is the possibility that we would make updates to improve experiences related to autosave in the future - I've provided links below to ideas that have been raised and remain open for consideration; - Invoicing - Undo/revert to previous version of an invoice

VAT Report - Separate late claims by tracking categoryVAT - late claims. As i use tracking categories - everything runs back through the late claims part of the VAT report but, this means there a mass of data to check through for the actual late claims that i do want in there. Very time consuming to check through all this. It would be great if you could separate out - say that the things come through from the bills from the tracking categories. 3 votes

The current problem is that in certain months they want to run their invoices on different dates due to public holidays or festive season. Reporting | Current Financial Year by month - actual and budgetThis report is great, I love it but we need to be able to customize it more. When you try and add columns it gives a message saying that you have to delete the total column first, then you need to manually add a total column which isn't the end of the world, but you can't select the the new total column in and of the formulas, like if I wanted to add the variance column (Which I would love to) but I can't. 16 votes

UK Payroll - Timesheets for employees on Annual SalaryOvertime needs to be recorded on Timesheets and be included in pay runs for employees on a fixed annual salary. We've been using Xero for 5+ years. It's brilliant in so many ways, and this basic functionality is missing, or rather, I expect is poorly coded. Depreciation - Manual adjustmentIt would be really useful if you could manually adjust depreciation on an asset by asset basis, where depreciation has been changed outside of the Xero product. This could be where depreciation has been run within the product for management accounts, but been adjusted by another accountant outside of the product when running the year-end.
