39 votesIt’s interesting to hear the different ways our users invoice and we appreciate you sharing how we could improve the flow of entry for you here. Being open this isn’t something we have plans for right now, however as our team plan further developments within invoicing, we’d like to engage you all here. To help our product teams get a better understanding of our invoicing users for future improvements, we’ve put a survey together and would love to hear your feedback through this.

Hi there, we have been using tracking options for our projects and we have now reached the maximum number and reached the limit for it, but we don't want to delete the previous projects<. Just want to know, if we can increase options limit to numbers. Thank you.

Sales invoice - Option to add a new line between existing lines
Hi Community, we need to have the option to add a new line between the invoice instead to go to the bottom part of the invoice to create it, and then moving it where we need it, many times I need to add a line in a large invoice but to make it, I need to go down to the bottom part, add a blank new line and move it where I need. If we can just make right-click and add a new blank line where we need it, it will be easy to create or amend an invoice.
38 votesThanks for sharing, Jose. While not a complete solve for what you're asking here - atm, once you add a line you can then move this to wherever you'd like it to sit in the invoice.
Just drag & drop from the 6 dots in far left column ij the new invoice experience. 🙂

New invoicing - Ability to view as tax exclusive (when entered inclusive)
In the "New version of Invoicing" disappeared an amazing function - when you open an invoice after it has been approved, it always displays as tax exclusive, even if you entered it as tax inclusive. In the new version if you approved an invoice tax inclusive it ONLY shows it as tax inclusive. Can you please add the feature of seeing both versions of the same invoice.
And another feature that disappeared in the new version is to see account number, not just the name of the account. Can you add it back too? And move it back to the…37 votesThanks for raising the idea here, Maria. Will be good to get a sense of the interest in being able to view invoices as exclusive when entered as inclusive. We don't have any immediate plans for changing this but I'll be sure to let you know if there's any change.
We have a separate idea tracking the ability to view the account number that I'd recommend joining for any information or updates around this.

Invoice reminders - View emails sent to customer
On the contact activity it tells you when an invoice reminder was sent but what would be really useful from a contact relations POV would be to be able to click that interaction and view the email so that you could screenshot/resend it to a client who says they didn't receive it. For example I have one saying at the moment they never received the reminder but did the one after and the one before? Odd? Proving the amount, email it went to etc would be a useful "told you so" if you know what I mean.

New invoicing: Remove / turn off online payments option
I would like the option to remove the 'set up online payments' box whenever I create a new invoice. For companies like ours who are never going to use this function, it's irrelevant and takes up unnecessary space (we use invoice finance and our clients don't pay us directly). Could there be a toggle button in the settings to be able to switch this off?

Invoice Settings - Separate Number Sequence for Credit Note
Currently, in the Automatic Sequencing setting, the invoice & credit note share the same number sequence. However, for tracking purpose, we prefer to have a separate number sequence for credit notes. Therefore, would like to request an additional 'Next Number' field for credit note, which can come with an option to share or not to share the number sequence with invoice.

Add a new field for "Row number" in customized invoice. So that we can see how many lines items in one invoice & fulfill client needs.

Payment Services - Option to add Zip as a 'Buy Now, Pay Later' payment service
It would be great if Zip could be categorised correctly as a "Buy Now, Pay Later" service, rather than "Credit Card" payment service. This would allow us to integrate it with xero invoices along with Stripe for example. Currently they come up in the same category so we can only choose one. Maybe it's time to add a buy now, pay later category for after pay etc as well.

Invoices - Enable deduction of withholding tax
A type of tax code should be possible in which the tax is subtracted from, rather than added to, the invoiced amount for that line item.
Rationale: Many countries require that a foreign supplier's invoice be subject to withheld tax if the supplier doesn't have a satisfactory tax treaty entitlement.
Example:
We use a reverse-invoice process for our Australian supplier to record payments due to them based on our activity. This activity often attracts a royalty fee that we must pay.
The UK requires us to withhold 5% of this royalty fee, and pay this over HMRC quarterly.
