  1. I can email my receipts to Xero, when will Xero be integrating the same sort, file, and account application features that Hubdoc has so that I don't have to use Hubdoc at all?

  2. As the title suggests. A "view all" option throughout the product would be great. Or even view a year. Far batter than having to click load more over and over again. Especially when if you click off of the page you then have to laboriously keep clicking load more again and again.

    Also to have dates next to (Or instead of) page numbers in the various scrolling pages; cash coding, reconcile, etc.

    Hi all, we appreciate the feedback on how we could improve pagination for customers across different areas of Xero. A couple of updates here that may help with this;

    • We have added the ability to search and filter no the Reconcile page. Meaning you can quickly navigate to a Date range of statement lines you'd like to reconcile
    • As we update areas of Xero you'll find the selection for how many items to view is now held (examples are in Products and services, Invoices and Bills). So, if you navigate away from a page when you return you should still see that same selection e.g 25, 50, 100 items. The only caveat to this is using incognito mode, or switching browsers

  3. The projects detailed report shows the estimated expenses on separate lines to the actual expenses incurred against that estimate. It is a manual process in excel to move the expenses around so that the report can reflect Total estimate less total spent and balance remaining. While this information is available on the projects page, it can't be pulled out as a report which is frustrating.

  4. Almost every quote/invoice I make ends up having the last little bit of the quote/invoice on the second page, with a huge amount of wasted space on the first page, which looks unprofessional. Having the option within standard invoices to remove the spacing would be amazing. I know you can get around this by using the 'Advanced invoice' option, but that requires a lot more manual work, so it's inconvenient.

  7. I appreciate the need to comply with minimum wage but to have this message on every pay item showing when processing is not only annoying but confusing when processing. This should only be a warning prompt if the gross pay doesn't meet the requirement when pay details have been completed.

  8. When doing a batch payment and get to the last screen, why does Xero not default to sorting by supplier name and inv/ref - at the moment it sorts randomly which is annoying and then you have to edit the batch to sort correctly so remittances and the batch PDFreport make more sense

  9. Our business provides lump sum quotes. While we list individual products/services for clarity, we do not show a cost per item (row). As a workaround - we hide the 'quantity' and 'price' columns however we still use the inventory item feature to automatically import the individual product/service. We then include a row at the bottom of the quote with the lump sum, account & tax rate.

    Problem:
    When the 'Quantity' and 'Price' columns are hidden via quote settings, the 'Amount' column incorrectly displays 0.00 when a product is selected from the 'Item' column. If the item is manually typed in…

  10. ISO 8601, the international standard for date and time formatting (adopted in the UK), defines Monday as the first day of the week. In invoicing Sunday seems to have been adopted recently and I can see from another thread this was deliberate, but this is NOT UK standard and our calendars adopt a Monday start so will confuse all UK users. Maybe adopt a setting where the user can define the setting instead of trying to suit the whole world...

    You're right this was a brief change that was made in invoicing however in consistency with how calendars appear in other areas of Xero this has been changed back and we also received feedback for calendars to run Sunday - Saturday.

    While we will track the interest from others in this here we want to be upfront that we don't have any further plans for changing start dates of this calendar.

  11. Navigation. Wouldn't it make life easier when paying bills if you could create a batch and then go directly back to the Purchases Overview to create the next one. At the moment it's Create a Batch Payment then > Purchases > Bills. Repeat the process.

  12. In search since I've used Xero, when searching for an Invoice Number - results would appear and a coloured box with the status - red for Awaiting Payment, and green for Paid. A handy visual meaning I didn't have to actually read the status.
    Now in the new Search - these colours have disappeared. Why? I now have to scan up and down and actually read what it says without my visual guide.   13. As a 1-man business I only need limited features, but the Project feature is one of these that feels essential to my line of work. It is only available in the highest pricing plan and is not available as an add-on. This appears to price out small businesses who want this feature. Please consider allowing this as an add-on, even if it isn't to be available in different pricing tiers.

  14. An Upgrade to the Timesheets function that would allow businesses to create permanent, personalised templates for individual employees.

    Currently, timesheets need to be manually updated each pay period, which increases the risk of inconsistency and errors. Having the ability to set up fixed Earnings Rate descriptions as part of a permanent template would make timesheets more efficient, accurate, and tailored to each business.

    For example, it would be very useful if a timesheet template could include pre-set lines such as:

    Ordinary hours – Direct

    Ordinary hours – Operating

    Overtime hours (exempt from super)

    Overtime hours (including super)

    Overtime Mon–Sat –…

  15. Function to have sub total line in the invoice.
    Often I have multiple separate jobs on a single invoice that I need to separate out the cost.

    It could be a selection you could make in the item dropdown column.

    Once selected it would be great if you could choose an auto feature or selection feature.

    Auto Add: Adds the lines above it until is reaches another "subtotal section"
    Selection feature: Where you highlight the rows you want to add the subtotal for.

    Naturally once the subtotal is selected in the Item dropdown, that line would not be included in…

  16. When you go to enter a leave request manually (not employee entered), if you select the dates first, and then realise 'oh I meant this to be sick leave, not annual leave' and change the leave type, the dates 'reset' to current date, and don't retain the information you've already entered.

    This means you can accidentally enter an incorrectly dated leave request, having done all the hard work of calculating the hours and dates, then realised at the last second that the 'type' of leave is wrong - everything resets!

  17. For the report templates, would it be possible to include a tax computation as part of the Annual Financial Statements? This schedule would show the income tax calculation for the year as well as the resulting tax asset or liability at year-end.

  19. Shortcut to Hubdoc - First thing I do when I open Xero in most clients is click straight into Hubdoc. With the BETA layout the shortcut has now been lost right down under 'do more with Xero'. I want to move the shortcut so it is the first thing I get to when I click on the client name. I'd also like the hide the Syft, I don't plan on using it yet and don't want it on my dashboard

  20. A slight bug found - I just had a supplier ask why we had charged less for the last 2 months. I checked and it looks like Xero defaulted to "GST Inclusive" invoices when copying an invoice that is GST-Exclusive, even when:

    1) the previous Invoice is set to "GST Exclusive"
    2) the Financial settings, tax defaults, For sales is set to for"Based on last sale"
    3) Note - No Contact defaults for GST set.

    Somehow, my $500 + GST invoices = $575 has been reduced to $500 including GST.

    Previously Xero would copy over the invoice exactly, but now…
