  1. We deal with different people in purchasing, accounting, owners, etc for each account. Contact records are being treated as Account records. This makes it very difficult to keep track of all people we need to do business with within an account.

  2. Purchase orders should not be able to be edited after they have been billed (even part billed). It defeats the purpose of a purchase order.
    We want staff to be able to issue purchase orders. Invoices are approved on those matching purchase orders. The same staff shouldn't be able to edit the original PO if it has been billed as then it doesn't match the invoice that's been paid/being paid.

  3. Reports - would love to be able to run an account transactions report that is able to be grouped by bank account as well, so we can see how each bank transaction has been coded, GST status etc from each bank account

  5. The Dashboard panel "Invoices owed to you" shows the number and total of
    * Draft Invoices
    * Awaiting Payment
    * Overdue

    Having a fourth line showing Unsent invoices would quickly notify users of those approved invoices which haven't yet been sent, whether intentionally or in error.

  7. Currently the Account Transactions Report calculates Debits minus Credits which means a positive Running Balance shows in brackets and a negative Running Balance shows without brackets. This is totally contradictory to the usual accepted Accounting Rules. Can this be changed so that the Running Balance is calculated as CREDITS MINUS DEBITS please ?

  8. PO to approved quote. My customers want to add their PO number and possibly an attachment upload to an approved quote when they select approve on the link. This should be very simple to fix. Also, then this would give us more capabilities in the approval process by allowing documentation to be added to the quote directly from the customer. This way it will tell me when I invoice them what PO was on the order. Also, they were asking for a place to put notes as well. They have notes on a reject but not approve.

  9. The bank transaction listing in Xero should have different details displayed for ease of reference.
    Batch Payment really doesn't provide enough information. "Payment: multiple items Batch Payment" is pretty vague. It would be better if the Description column showed the Details from the batch payment - refer attached

  10. Invoice branding is only possible using Microsoft. Would it be possible to make this happen using Google OS also?
    I know there are hundreds of millions of Google users worldwide many of which will be Xero users since your software is excellent software.

  11. So at present - as mentioned below it doesn't really make any sense to be logging hours for the day in the morning when staff arrives as every day could be different.

    I'd really like a central point that staff can log in through - as opposed to using personal phone. it needs to be a clock in and clock out system with automatic break deduction. At the moment we use the Timestation app that the guys clock in and out with a QR code card then i have to run a report each week to manually input into timesheets...…

  13. Hi - could the Timer appear on other Xero pages, not just the Projects page? So when the timer is started, it stays on the screen when we move between Dashboard, Business, Accounting etc. That would be great. Thanks.

  14. The Receive Money function should be made available to users who do nothing else except literally receive money - ie sales people. This is especially relevant in small countries where cash is king and non electronic transactions are still in majority. I have one user who only needs to receive cash but I can't give them that function without making them an Adviser.

  15. There is a weird issue when entering in text in the 'Descripton' box in a Quote.

    Once the text is entered if you then leave the description box and then click back into it, all the text in that field is highlighted.

    This is a little problem when you want to delete one character as it deletes the whole text.

    If you Control V the text back....it hasn't copied the text to put it back in.
    So, you lose all the text entered.

    I understand you can click a few times to stop it highlighting the whole text.

  16. When reviewing a VAT return documents, the ability to see the invoice without having to go in to bills to pay to find the invoice and review it was great. How about adding a next and previous button to the top of the screen when you left click on an invoice within the VAT return?

    At the moment we have to click the x in the top right corner and then left click on the next invoice to review. when review large VAT return with many transactions you can get lost and end up clicking in to an invoice you…

SUPER NON Regulated Super Fund Set Up - There are many Non Regulated Super funds out there and Xero only provides a list of Regulated Super Fund name to choose/ set up under payroll settings so when an employee has a NON Regulated Super Fund you can not set up or choose in the Employee card. The current work around is to Choose another Super Fund name (fraught with danger) in the Employee card then make manual payments. Making manual payments is not an issue however, choosing another Super fund name that is not correct is not an appropriate work…

  18. We use multiple Statement templates, each of them containing different stages of Credit Control progress. When sending these the Contact Notes are only updated with 'Statement', and not the Statement template name that would give historical context to a Contact on how we have progressed debt.
    Can you update the Notes to include the Statement Template name, and include an option to make further notes against that activity?

  19. Finalise Year End
    Can we have an option (just like finalising the GST returns) where we can finalise the year, and then later on print a report with any changes made since? The lock dates are not the solution, because they can be unlocked and relocked and there is no detail of changes made.
    If we could "finalise" a year when the client has signed off accounts or tax returns, then if anyone inadvertently edits or changes coding we can see that.

  20. I've noticed when an account gets a negative balance (such as an asset) that the balance sheet moves it to liabilities. I also noticed that, although I put "Other Income" at the end of the account list (with a account number of 7000) it still shows up in the income section. Proper accounting reports show "Other Income" and "Other Expense" at the bottom of the balance sheet. Additionally, if an asset account gets a negative balance for some reason it should NOT be moved to liabilities. Please fix this.
