  1. Export in CSV UTF-8 or excel file as opposed to CSV comma delimited. Or have the option to choose what format the file is downloaded in as opposed to it having to be csv comma delimited.

    Reasoning: We utilise characters in our Xero that currently doesnt export out correctly e.g. "青龍 香米". This problem would be eliminated if we could export the file format as either excel or CSV UTF-8. Xero as a system supports the upload of these characters and displays them absolutely fine on the webpage, which is why we have decided to move to your system, but…

It would be great if we could have an option to use find & recode to change to several accounts at the same time (similar to cash coding), rather than having to use the function over again each time. For example, if a client codes many transactions to general expenses, it would be useful to have a single screen where you can change the coding, with a column for "Current Account" and a second column for "New Account".

  6. I would love to group select untracked expenses in Projects then drag and drop them into their expense category

    If the untracked expense could sit in one column and the expense category in another that would be amazing so you can easily reference the category then drop accross from column to column

  9. When you enter a bill and save it as a draft or approve a bill up the top it gives you the option to enter a new bill but it doesn't give you the option to enter a credit note. Because I can click add a new bill I enter all my invoices first but if Xero gave me the option to enter a credit note I would use this very much. Right now I have 14 supplier credit notes to enter and that is not unusual and it is very time consuming having to go back to the bill…

  12. Within the old Xero profit and loss report, there used to be a feature where you could add account transactions to a excel export of the profit and loss. The account transactions for a specific account would appear as a separate tab in the excel profit and loss export. Unfortunately, this feature seems to have been removed with in the new profit and loss. It would be great to see this feature reimplemented, as losing functionality of a report due to an upgrade is a shame.

  13. When you import a tax invoice file you get to select when the invoice amount are either Tax Exclusive or Tax Inclusive.
    The default radio button option is always set as Tax Exclusive.

    It would be nice to be able to change this default setting so that the default option can be set to tax inclusive. I know it's a minor thing and while it might not save a lot of time, if all of your tax imports are GST inclusive, having the option to have this set as default so you don't have to remember to change it would…

  14. There is no functionality in Xero to 'Hide account codes on all pages' as we have "Hide decimals on all pages'.

    Can we have this functionality - at present we need to check each page before publishing to ensure that there are no account codes showing.

  15. When delete a file, do not automatically delete it from the linked transaction.

    I have had a client delete many of their files from the file library, as she wanted to 'clean it up'. This has in turn deleted them from all the bills/spend money transactions etc and we now have lost access to all the source documents and will need to reenter them.

    Even a warning that this would happen, would be better than just wiping everything.

  16. Hi - it would be great if there was an indication on the Demo company when the data will be reset. We know it is every 28 days but when is the 28 days up. I've lost demo testing in preparation to show a client how Xero can help them.

  20. add column in invoice overview. Hi, I was wondering if I can add a column in the program in invoices overview. When I used sage 50 account before, I could see a list of invoices and first few lines of what the include. Now when I go to a customer and would like to check how much I charged for particular job and I don't know when it was done, I need to open each individual invoice to see description.
