  1. I find the 'Find & recode' tool very useful, but it would be really helpful if the condition 'Currency' could be added, so that we can choose to see only transactions in a certain currency.

    Since MTD for VAT, more and more clients are using digital links as software that automatically extract the VAT amounts from receipts (e.g. Dext), including receipts from other countries.   2. It would be great if Xero could send an alert if a leave request has been submitted for a payroll period that has already been processed?
    This would apply in the situation that payroll was run early and then an employee took a day off in the period that was included in the payrun.

Prior to the upgrade, if you were a labour hire firm and had contractors who were not a company but used their TFN, you could select the box to allow additional tax deductions for HELP / HECS debts. With the new Phase 2 STP, Xero have confirmed that if you have labour hire using TFN's and they have a hecs debt you cannot check the box and will need to manually calculate the hecs amount to deduct each payrun.   4. There are a lot of businesses in The Philippines that would benefit from bank feeds. Even if you cover BPI, BDO and Union Bank I’m sure they would fund the development costs.

    This combined with BIR accreditation would see XERO as the leading accounting product in a country of over 110 million people.

    Are there specific banks you're connected to and would like to see a feed developed for? It'd be good to get this detail that we can share with our product teams.

    Also to help community members understand exactly what they're supporting, as well as share these back internally with our teams it's best to keep one idea per thread - I've updated the idea here for Bank Feeds for Philippines and we can make this even clearer if you confirm which banks.

  5. When setup tax basis: cash basis, the sales tax report could show invoice number and reference by separate column not replace reference instead of invoice number.

  7. Some employees have payment information (bank account), and others do not at a client account. The client does not use the bank account information for the payment to employees, then, this information is not compulsory for the client at the moment.
    I found a wrong information of the payment bank account information of an employee and tried to delete it, however, Xero says:
    The account name is required, and
    The account number is required, then,
    It is not possible to save 'nil' information.

    We appreciate the interest and rationale in wanting to be able to delete an employee's bank information.

    While this may be a function we look to explore in the long-term we want to be upfront that this is not something we've currently got planned.

    In the meantime, you can replace the employee bank account details with fake/dummy information instead.

  8. Prompt if Changes have not been SAVED

    What I would like is, after entering data in the Notes (or Items on Invoice, Purchase Orders etc..) If there are changes to the Invoice/Notes (or any update screen) on the screen BUT if the user does not click SAVE then the changes are lost.

    If the invoice/purchase order/notes etc... have had changes and SAVE is not clicked, it would be helpful to have some sort of reminder available that auto prompts you

    'Changes have been made do you want to save these?'

    or something similar so any work entered, but not SAVED…

  11. Filter Bank Feed By Source
    When looking for bank errors because a bank balance is incorrect, it would make things quicker to filter by bank transaction source
    Many errors are caused by the source being imported manually but the transaction has already been imported by bank feed
    to filter these ones out would make things quicker

  12. what about the possibility of practices creating their own report code structure? with infinite report codes capable of being added? to accommodate flexible reporting structures?

    It is truly difficult to automate reporting where a practice does not control the chart structure. this is because clients often create new chart codes because their particular expense doesnt neatly fit the chart options available...so a new expense/revenue/etc account is added and then the report pack grows in size (with similar account types that really should be grouped for reporting) to the point where it is unusable...unless the practice manually maps into a "group"…

  13. It would be great to be able to filter the fixed asset list by the various categories but especially by asset type.

    For example, I have 500 assets and am trying to pick out just the Office Equipment to dispose of 30 assets, but I am having to search for each individual asset rather than just look at a list of the Office Equipment.

  16. For clients who use the iPad app for quotes, it is important that the quote be able to be printed. This would be for Xero clients whose customers visit a place of business ("the shop") to discuss an order; the Xero client should be able to print the quote for delivery to the client.
    For one of my potential clients, this procedure applies to 95% of the quote opportunities.

    HI community, thanks for your support here. While this isn't something we have plans for extending comparatives beyond 36 periods atm, it'd be good to get more detail on the ideal # of comparatives you'd be looking to run the report for, and what this would help your business do - Please do comment to share your views. 

    Other options you'll see you have with the new report, is that you can change the comparative period between Day, Month, Quarter or Year. 

  18. When a Xero customer is creating an invoice for another Xero customer - why not allow this to automatically show up in the Bills section, if the receiver agrees to this. Would save a heap of time and coding.

    It would be good if Xero could turn on the functionality to post the theoretical Unrealised forex entries that it is calculating as a reversing entry. It would be a bonus if Xero gave the business the option to have it posted. Without this, because its not a journal, it doesnt reflect in my BI system. To post a manual entry is not a solution as then both entries appear on the TB

  20. Label printing. It would be so much easier if having entered the name and address on an invoice we could then print the name and address directly onto a label writer (something easily done using Sage software). We are a publisher, selling books via a website to people who usually only ever make one purchase, so we don't want to create an unnecessarily massive contact list.
