    When writing notes for any invoice, bill, or manual journal in Xero, the notes are typically placed in the History column. However, this makes them less visible to someone new who might review these documents. If these notes could be added as sticky notes at the top corners of the page, they would be more prominent and could help avoid potential mistakes caused by missing information.   2. The EU's GDPR states that data must not be retained "longer than necessary". In the UK, a sensible rule of thumb for this is 6 years to be able to provide records to the tax authority as needed, but our business does not need to keep records longer than this and our data retention policy states to customers that we will not keep their data longer than 7 years.

    We have tens of thousands of "contact" records in xero but there is no way to delete the details of customers that have not interacted with us 7 years.

  3. I have an employee with two bank accounts - Bank Account 2 currently has a dollar amount going to it, and Primary Bank Account has the balance. The employee would like to swap which one is getting the dollar amount and which the balance. I'd like to do this with a button.

    Instead I have to do it manually, copying and pasting field by field.

We have 2 Shopify stores, one for our wholesale customers and one for consumers, however, unfortunately, we cannot connect both to Xero, which is extremely annoying and causes a lot of work for us behind the scenes. Connecting both will mean a more streamlined experience and make our Xero world much easier.

  5. Work and Income deduction as a reducing balance under statutory deduction. Work and Income have provided a total amount and a weekly amount to be paid there needs to be a function added to provide the reducing balance, this function is available in other statutory deductions.

  6. i would like to that when you have made a superannuation payment through Xero, that it creates a bill, with a screen shot or a list of employees that has been paid. will make it easier for when you have an audit.

  11. The new Payroll Activity and Summary Report is not as user friendly as the old one. It was much easier to read and find your employee name and net amount due on the older version. I also don't like how half an employees details can be on one page and the rest on the next page. I would like to revert to the old style, if possible?

  12. Where the Xero bank account balance and the bank's account balance don't match, but the account has been fully reconciled, Xero displays both balances.

    It would be good if Xero would also show the difference, ie, how much is the difference between Xero and the bank.

While in Dashboard and in a bank account, if I have a bank rule being used and you see it on the right with the vendors name, please add the gl acct in that same box so I can look at each gl account before I hit OK and save. Some vendors are used with different expenses so not seeing the particular gl acct makes me do extra steps by click on details and checking there.

  14. The problem is if you set a deduction item in payroll on Xero it doesn't give option to pick P&L nominal account, where reimbursements to employees should be coded. The only work around are journals, which is ineffective when you have clients posting payroll themselves and they need management reports each month, so you have to reanalyze and repost their payroll.

When the invoice has been approved and need to be emailed, the side by side view is great but I would like to see the invoice amount ex VAT, not the total of the invoice and it would be good to see all the body of the invoice as well, not just saying there are more items, you cant even click on it to see

  17. New Xero Activity Statement Report

    It would be great if the new activity statement report automatically converted standard BAS to simpler BAS when importing into Xero Tax like the old ones has done for ages. We don't like having to produce two different types of reconciliations within our practice because then there are two different ways of doing things, which confuses junior staff. We want Xero to make things easier and automatically import the needed data as the old activity statement report does.

  18. When pasting content from a Word document that has bullet points and other basic formatting, this formatting is lost and you end up with one large block of unformatted text.

    All our invoices have terms and conditions pasted in depending on the application of our products. We have to switch to Classic Invoicing where the formatting functionality still works, before sending the email to the customer, .

    Please resolve this urgently before phasing out Classic Invoicing.

    • It would be helpful if we could retrieve copies or make reprints of prior year payments. This is particular helpful where a new client comes on board, and you will not have history on files.
