  1. Thanks for fixing Over payments in the new system - works great! - 1 adjustment - the account menu pops - UP not Down, and bank accounts are off the top of the screen need a lot of scolling, can you change to normal pop-down please? (like the Date Paid menu)

  3. Customer/recipient view of invoices on mobile should display price/quantity/VAT.

    Majority of our customers review their invoices on mobile browser. We use zero-quantity line items to include extra information/detail in our invoices, but the new format cuts out price/quantity/VAT when viewing an invoice on mobile, so these lines appear blank/empty.

    Other invoices, where customers want to review the price and quantity on their invoice, not just the line total, are similarly inaccessible.

    Understand that these areas have been removed to keep the mobile invoice condensed, but it now means key information is missing from the invoice, and is resulting in more…

  4. I have noticed that when you are preparing to send an invoice via email in Xero that you can now add new addresses in the TO, CC and BCC lines. This is great.

    However, I have noticed that ALL contacts are available to add here. It would be safer to only allow the contact email addresses associated with the contact name on the invoice. It is too easy to add the wrong address and potentially send invoice information to the wrong client.

    If other people needed to do this, perhaps a tick box could be applied to allow ALL CONTACTS…

  7. Recent changes have gutted our ability to operate under two distinct business names (Branding) under the same Xero account. Our Xero organization name and address is now included by default (and without the option to hide it) on Invoice emails and on Payment acceptance links. This was previously not the case.

    This completely breaks branding for us, and I'm not quite sure why this change was made. What is the point of having branding at all of we can't control what organization details are provided to the customer? Support suggested I open another Xero account. That's not an option -…

  9. Ability to show customer credit limit on the landing page of a GROUP (In this instance Credit Client)

    Purpose - Users can easily see the credit limit along side the contact name and the headers "You Owe" and "They Owe" Providing a snap shot to avoid the need to click into each individual account to check their credit limit.

  10. Recently half of the emails I thought I had sent were 'unable to be sent'. I had no idea until I became worried why my usually reliable clients had not paid me on time. After looking I saw this message on the 'History' trail.

    My suggestion is that where an error occurs like this there is a significant error message signal e.g. a box comes up or things are highlighted in red and bold.

    Cashflow is the lifeblood of any business and if the system is unable to send an invoice this could have serious ramifications for Xero clients.

  11. Have an area in the contact card to opt out of the remittance advice for that supplier. This will save the time in unticking suppliers that never want remittance advice every time a batch payment is made.

  12. Please create all excel exports from Xero in the currrent .xlsx format. Most still produce an old xls.file format (for instance Sales Tax Report) and need to be resaved to bring up to date.

  13. It would be great to be able change the e-mail address where files or bills are sent to Xero to simplify it?

    Currently the e-mail address is long and without context and cannot be linked to a specific client outside of Xero in for example Outlook or Gmail.

    An "alias" e-mail address would be helpful.

    Not exactly what you're after here, however in lieu of not having the ability to summarise within a group you could use the column header to order by Contact within a grouping.

    Being open, we don't have any plans for developing this capability in the near term.

Instead of the currently available [Week] option in the repeating invoice reference field, which only shows the week number of the year, for example '34', instead allow the option for custom text that includes the date. For example to enable the customer to understand that the invoice being sent is for work that was undertaken during week ending 18/08/2024, which you want to display as WE20240818, you could allow something like this in the reference field: 'WE[yyyymmdd]'. This mitigates the issue of customers having to work out the date that e.g. week '34' applies to when reconciling invoices in Xero…

As some employees split payments between multiple bank accounts when they're paid, it would be good to have an option where this only happens when processing a salary payment, not reimbursing expenses. Had one where there were only expense reimbursements done (no salary/PAYE etc.) but the payment was still split and majority went to IRD. Perhaps a checkbox when entering the second bank account in that says "only split on taxed earnings" or something like that to avoid having to go and delete then re-add the additional account every time.

  17. I have an employee with two bank accounts - Bank Account 2 currently has a dollar amount going to it, and Primary Bank Account has the balance. The employee would like to swap which one is getting the dollar amount and which the balance. I'd like to do this with a button.

    Instead I have to do it manually, copying and pasting field by field.

We have 2 Shopify stores, one for our wholesale customers and one for consumers, however, unfortunately, we cannot connect both to Xero, which is extremely annoying and causes a lot of work for us behind the scenes. Connecting both will mean a more streamlined experience and make our Xero world much easier.

  19. Be able to change an employee/director to be excluded from the pension at any time.
    At the moment, if a director is not excluded from the pension scheme straight the way, the payroll has to be rolled back to when the director was assessed. This is fine for small payrolls but would be very timely on the larger payrolls.

  20. There is an issue in payroll where you will get a rounding error due to other pay items such as Leave/Holiday.

    e.g. Salary £12,570 per year
    Paid in May the calculations are as follows:
    1685.692935=£956.41308 Rounded: £956.41
    8
    5.692935=£45.54348 Rounded: £45.54
    8*5.692935=£45.54348 Rounded: £45.54

    Total = £1047.50084 Rounded Total: £1047.49 instead of £1047.50

    This should be corrected somehow to use the correct number before rounding as the final calculation. The rounding can either be ignored from the line items, added to the first line item (the total pay) or added as a new line item specifically for the rounding…
