New invoicing - Show warning if repeat template has been deleted
The Classic version of Invoicing used to inform you on the view of an invoice that was created from a Repeating Invoice when the Repeating Template had been deleted.
The new version does not give you this information resulting in confusion and wasted time.
Please see screen shots below.
This is causing us a major headache as we have lots of Repeating Invoices that have to be cancelled and if a user isn't sure new invoicing doesn't help but allows you to go through the process of trying to delete the template again which results in an error.

Customer map, showing location pins for all customer addresses
Being able to see a map with the location pins for each customer and sort them by the various Xero groups, would be invaluable. This would enable us to easily visualise our national/global coverage to help better understand regional product usage. As a business that provides products to public locations, it would also be an efficient way to reference existing installations near to new enquiries for them to reference.

Assign expenses and receipt to Customer Invoice
When I reconcile an expense and attach a receipt, if I then assign that expense to a customer, I have to upload that receipt again to attach to invoice, can this not be changed? If an expense has a receipt attached, when this is assigned to a customer can it not just bring receipt along with it?

Hi Chris, the options for Sales and Purchases are the same in Contact defaults. You'll find there is a 'of the following month' option.
When you say end of the following month would this be to be able to set the bill due date to change based on the # of days in the month?

Cumulative Balance on Outstanding Cust Statements
On the Outstanding Cust Statements, will be great for the Balance column to be cumulative row by row, instead of PER row. Eg, see attached, if the Cust wants to pay all the June Invoices - they will need to manually add up. What is the point of a Balance column, if it is the same as the Invoice column. Yes, I am aware that it shows a partial payment of an invoice, but then maybe keep the PER ROW balance, and ADD a column for the cumulative one. Thank you :)

Contacts - Option to exclude from remittance
Have an area in the contact card to opt out of the remittance advice for that supplier. This will save the time in unticking suppliers that never want remittance advice every time a batch payment is made.

Overpayment - Statement - Approved, sent and paid details
OVERPAYMENT - Approved, sent and paid - Statement
I am sending two photos. In one there is the statement of account 610 which correctly includes an Overpayment made.
In the second we find the other statement "Approved, sent and paid" which instead highlights an Overpayment made even if allocated in the invoice. From my point of view it should not be there. There should only be if the overpayment has not yet been allocated.

File Library - Allow access to Invoice Only users when adding Quotes
A Xero user with invoice-only access can currently only access files in the file library when creating an invoice. We need this feature to also be available when the same user creates a quote. There is no added risk since the user already has access to the files when creating an invoice. Standard files needs to be sent to clients with their quote and this now needs to be stored on a drive instead of the file library.

Reporting - Include declined reason for quotes
It would be very useful if the declined reason could be included in a report/export to enable further investigation as to why quotes where declined.
This would highlight any patterns, e.g. price to high, delivery to long etc.1 vote -

Close project from task and expenses invoice
When creating an invoice from a project, it would be ideal to have the option to close the project when creating the invoice from tasks and expenses. We currently have the option to tick box to mark the project as closed when creating an invoice for the project amount, but not when creating an invoice from tasks and expenses.
Suggest either adding the ability to transfer tasks and expenses over to the invoice when creating from a project amount invoice or alternatively a checkbox for a task and expenses invoice to have the option to close the project as well.

Bills - Automatically open a new tab when adding a bill
Xero made a change when adding bills at some point last year.
Before, when you clicked to add a new bill, it would automatically open in a new tab, really handy when adding multiple bills to a specific supplier.
Now, you have to right click on add a new bill to open a new tab otherwise you have to keep going back to contacts to re-find the supplier in order to add another bill.
Not sure why this needed to change as it was far more user friendly and was quicker to add bills before.

Custom categories for customers would enable us to look at what sectors are generating the most revenue. In my business, this is valuable data that is currently time consuming and prone to human error.

when creating bills & uploaded invoices receipts via app need to show on the desktop in account transaction screen
when reconciling & uploading attached invoices/ receipts via app they don't show on xero desktop application in accounts transaction screen. It currently shows items as reconciled but with no uploaded documents icon.

Invoices/receipts - 'Next' option when viewing attachments
When you've uploaded multiple receipts/invoices to a transaction it would be useful to have a "next" button to go through all the uploads rather than having to X out and click individually into each attachment. For example expenses. This will save time reviewing

AU Payroll - Block duplicate super funds from being added to employee record
Please make it impossible to add a duplicate identical super fund to an employee's record.

UK Payroll - Exclude employees/directors from pension at any time
Be able to change an employee/director to be excluded from the pension at any time.
At the moment, if a director is not excluded from the pension scheme straight the way, the payroll has to be rolled back to when the director was assessed. This is fine for small payrolls but would be very timely on the larger payrolls.1 vote
