Reporting - Add Client's logo
Ability to add client’s logo into Reporting.
Purpose: To make the look of the reporting belong to the client’s business.
138 votesAppreciate the feedback from everyone here, and hearing the value you'd find in being able to add a clients logo to reports and make them look more professional.
Being upfront, this isn't somethign we have plans for developing right now, but I can assure you your feedback is heard by our product teams and they are keeping a watchful eye on the idea.
We'll continue to get a sense of community support in this here, and if there are any updates I'll be sure to share with you all on this idea. Thanks

UK Payroll - Show leave balances on payslip in days and hours
Show leave balances on the payslip as days and hours. This would allow employees to better understand their leave balances without needing to do extra calculations.
121 votesHey everyone, thanks for all your engagement on 'AU & UK Payroll - Show leave balances on payslip in days and hours'.
To better support our UK and AU Payroll product teams, we've split this idea by region and they can now gain support individually from other community members.
Along with votes, others can now comment to share additional detail about how your idea could improve their experience with Xero.🙂

Bank reconciliation - Import spend & receive money transactions
An import template for importing bank spend and receive money transactions. Now that Datadear is longer available for Xero clients as an app there is no way to import bank transactions
108 votesHi everyone, we appreciate the support we've received through this idea. Without beating around the bush we don't have any short term plans for enabling the import of spend and receive money transactions. This may be something we look into further down the track so we'll continue to track and review the idea here.
For Xero Partners you could look to use the Conversion toolbox to import bank transactions for your clients.

Business Activity Statement - Calculate Wine Equalisation Tax (WET) in AU
Ability to calculate Wine Equalisation Tax in Australia.
Purpose: To easily comply with transactiona tax requirements in Australia
69 votesHi community, I know it's been some time since our last update here. Though we're continuing to follow and track the interest in automatic calculation of wine equalisation tax within Xero, for the time being this isn't something we've planned.
As some may have received detail from our support team on there is a way we suggest you can record your WET liabilities and credits within Xero - See our post on this discussion for the detail. Alternatively, there are app partners you could explore on the Xero app store.
If there are any changes around this we will be back to share with you all on this idea.

Batch Deposit - More than 50 transactions
We need to deposit > 50 transactions on a daily basis. We can't marry up our remittances to our deposits recorded in Xero when done in multiple parts. It's messy and not workable for large volume businesses.
68 votesHi everyone, we very much appreciate the feedback from you on wanting to be able to include more than 50 invoices in a batch deposit.
While this is something we'll continue to review we want to be open that this is not planned in the short term.
In the other side of the coin, we know there are also some in the conversation here that would like to see an increase in the number of bills included in a batch payment and I'd recommend adding your vote and staying tuned to this other idea.
If there is any change or updates around batch deposit volumes I'll be sure to share with you, here.

Bank Accounts - Set up loan schedule and amortization
I think we should be able to create with a loan schedule with interest rates, term and amortization instead of having to manually enter the transaction.
42 votesHi everyone, while we appreciate your interest in a direct feature in Xero to schedule and manage loans this isn't something we have planned right now.
We do have some information on Xero Central that may help some here with managing loans in Xero.
We will continue to monitor the community support for this in the forums here, and share if there are any updates.

Contacts - View all transactions history & notes from contact record
Ability to go into the contact/client and see all notes under history and notes also the notes that are made under an invoice for the client. So ALL notes are in one place and users don't need to run a report to check a note. The former Xero layout had this. Invoice notes showed up under history and notes for the client in the old Xero layout before July 2023.
34 votesHi team, we appreciate that with different places in which notes can be added within Xero right now, you'd like one place you can go to view all history related to a contact. Though we don't have plans of surfacing the individual transaction history & notes on a Contacts record, you may find the History & notes report useful for getting a wider lens.
You'll find with the report you can filter, search and view history and notes across all areas of Xero.
We are continuing to watch the engagement and support for this idea, and will share if there are any updates.

Settings - Ability to lock bank Reconciliation Period
To be able to lock the bank once reconciled, so no more transactions can be entered or manually forced through the bank
34 votesHi team, sorry it's taken so long for us to return to the idea here.
I appreciate the feedback from my last update where I suggested lock dates as an option and hear why this isn't a viable option for some.
If you're based in the US or CA you may want to check out our newer feature 'Reconcile period' that enables you to reconcile and close period within each bank account.
It'd be good to hear if users from other regions in this idea believe reconcile period would resolve what you're after here and I can merge in to this idea where we're continuing to track interest for expanding this feature to other region. Thanks

Bank Reconciliation Report - Show 'Discuss' tab notes
Include notes that have been left on transactions in the 'Discuss' tab on the Bank Reconciliation Summary Report.
34 votesThanks for the ongoing support in this idea, team. I want to be upfront that we don't currently have any plans for adding Discuss to reports however we'd like to keep tracking the support of this with community here, and will share if there are any changes to update you of.

Bank Feeds - Square bank feed integration
Please please please Xero can you work on a proper Square bank feed integration so we don't have to keep using Amaka or other 3rd party connection apps!!!
Why can't we connect Square as a bank account with a feed similar to Stripe?!?! We are in 2024, square has been around for 15years!!I have so many issues with Square! And it is one of the most widely used payment processors!
A recent example -
A client has a coffee van and uses it to take payments for cups of coffee. I had to setup the Amaka integration so that…32 votesHi everyone, thanks for sharing your feedback on a direct bank feed for Square. We understand that using a third-party integration isn't always seamless and that a direct feed, like the one for Stripe, would make life easier when reconciling your payments.
As noted by others here, the current solution is to connect an app from the Xero App Store to bring your Square transactions into Xero, or you can continue to manually import these.
Right now, building a direct bank feed for Square isn’t in our plans. We're continuing to monitor the interest in this idea, so please keep adding your votes and comments as it helps us see the demand.

Bank Feed - Chase bank
For Xero to expand their bank feed connections to develop feed that supports Chase bank UK
26 votesHi everyone, just a quick update to let you know that we are aware of this request, and we get that having a direct bank feed for Chase Bank UK would streamline your workflow and make reconciling much easier.
Currently, the best way to get your transactions into Xero is by manually importing your bank statements.
For now, we’ll keep an eye on the engagement and support for this bank feed here, and let you know when we have any updates on this.

New invoicing - Remove invoice description character limit
Remove New invoicing description Character limit. Currently the limit is 4000 which isn't enough for large customer invoices.
26 votesHi everyone, thank you to everyone that participated in our teams survey from my last update. We appreciate your insights and these continue to help inform our teams of where they can best focus their efforts, as they continue to develop invoicing.
We don't have any plans at this stage to increase the Description field character limit from 4,000, however we're interested to continue tracking the interest in community and understand what the optimal amount of characters would be for our customers.
If there are any changes we will share an update with you all, here.

Bank Feed - Investec (UK)
Currently, Xero facilitates bank feeds with Investec (South Africa) although does not allow bank feeds to be setup for the UK & Channel island branch - This connection needs to be setup.
25 votesHi everyone, really appreciate you sharing this idea.
We see how a direct feed for Investec (UK) would create a smoother workflow and save you time when reconciling.
In the meantime, the best option is to bring your transactions into Xero by manually importing your statements.
A direct feed for Investec (UK) isn't on our immediate roadmap right now. However, we're keeping this idea open for voting to see how much interest it gets from the community. Every vote and comment helps us understand the demand and prioritise what's most important to you all.

Contacts - Show attachments for transactions in the contact overview
Under the Contact, where Xero shows the current account balance and further down the screen we can see all invoices etc for that contact. When I scroll down the list of invoices I'd love to be able to see a little icon that tells me how many files I have uploaded to each invoice. The only way to tell currently is if I click into each invoice and then I can see the number of files attached per the little file icon at the top.
25 votesWe're grateful for your engagement and letting us know the changes that matter to you.
While we don't have immediate plans for adding a file icon indicator to the Contact Activity list we're tracking the interest from our community here and will share if there are any updates planned. Thanks

Invoice Branding - Increase limit from 15 Custom DOCX themes
There is no reason to have a limit of 15 Custom DOCX Branding Themes (when those are needed to be used as RCTI). Organisations that issue RCTI do so for many clients so why limit it.
22 votesHi community we appreciate your feedback on the limitations of branding within Xero right now. While we are looking into improvements to branding and simplifying how customers customise their invoices, we don't have any plans at this stage to increase the # of branding templates that can be set up in the short term.
In consideration of those in the discussion who's workflow consists of creation of recipient created tax invoice, Xero does not currently have a feature to directly support these transaction types, however we have an idea specifically for this that you may be interested in adding your support to. This is not something we have plans for right now, but we are watching the feedback for this and will share if there's any updates, there.

Account Transactions report - Move selected date range a period forward or back
When in account transactions (or any report where you can select a date range) have a button to move that date range one month forwards or one month back.
For example if you have the date range selected as 01.08.2022-31.08.2022 have a backwards button that would change this automatically to 01.07.2022- 31.07.2022 or a forwards button that would change this to 01.09.2022-30.09.2022 without having to go in and manually change the date to every month.
This would be very helpful when doing detailed reconciliations on a monthly basis so you can move between the months much quicker. I know you…
22 votesHi everyone, we appreciate interest in a setting within the Account transactions report that would allow you to move forward a period or back a period from what's currently set.
In openness, this isn't something we have any plans for developing in the near term but we will continue to track the community interest of here.
While not exactly what's being asked in this idea I did want to highlight the Common date selections that are available within the report atm with the ability to easily select 'This month' or 'Last month'.
If there is any news of improvements for dates that'd accommodate what you're after here, we'll update you all.

Bank Feeds - Automatic feed for Swiss banks
To establish bank feeds for Swiss banks in Xero.
Purpose: To save users time from having to manually import the statements from Swiss banks into Xero.
20 votesHi everyone, it's helpful to know that having bank feeds available for banks based in Switzerland is important to you.
You can view a full list of direct bank feeds available in your region here. As some of you have noted, if your bank does not currently have a feed available, the best option for now is to manually import your bank statements into Xero. This will help you keep your accounts up-to-date. You can find instructions on how to do this in our Xero Central article here: Import a bank statement.
Another way you can help is by letting your specific banks know that you’d like to see them integrate with Xero. We've found that banks are more likely to prioritise building a feed when they hear directly from their own customers. They can get in touch with our team to start the process here: Register your…

Fixed Assets - Allow Custom values in depreciation schedule e.g. 50%, 30%, 20%
Please update depreciation schedule to allow for custom percentages per year, for small business in SA it is allowed to depreciate 50% / 30% / 20% over three years but there is no viable way to implement currently.
18 votesHI team, we're grateful for your involvement and sharing through product ideas. To let you know, currently we don't have any plans for developing the ability to add custom percentages in the depreciation schedule.
We'll continue to track the interest from community through this idea and if there are any changes surrounding this we'll share an update with you all.

Email to Bills - Create rules for automating the entry of line items
Automatically captures each line items as indicated in the bill when sending bills directly to draft using Xero Bills email link provided
17 votesHi team, we appreciate the idea here is more surrounding the ability to create rules to help curate the automated entry of data in bills created via the email to bills process.
However, I did just want to confirm the existing options that are available to help with the automatic entry of your bills as there are multiple paths you could explore.
As per this idea, in it's current form email to bills will use the data of your emailed file to automatically create a bill and fill fields.
There is also Hubdoc that you can connect to your organisation and use to publish bills to your organisation, and most recently we introduced Upload where you can upload multiple files to Xero at once to create multiple draft bills.
We don't have any plans around expanding email to bills to add the ability to set rules. but we'll continue to…

Westpac Foreign Currency Feeds (AU)
Ability to set up bank feeds for foreign currency Westpac accounts. For those that bank with Westpac in Australia
17 votesThanks for sharing your feedback and votes for adding Westpac foreign currency account feeds, community.
While a direct feed isn't currently available for these accounts, you can still keep up-to-date in Xero by manually importing your transactions.
Just to give you a bit of insight into how these feeds are built – we rely on our banking partners to make specific account types available to us. The best way to get this on Westpac's radar is for them to hear directly from you, so we encourage you to reach out to them and request support for foreign currency account bank feeds.
For this reason, we're unable to say if or when feeds might be available for these accounts, but we'll continue to keep an eye on the support for this idea, and let you know if there are any changes in this area.
