Xero Mail - Send as @company-name.com not message-service@post.xero.com
Ability to make an email sent from Xero appear as @company-name.com instead of message-service@post.xero.com, when users send an email to their client/customer.
Purpose: To provide more validity when sending communications from Xero out to clients/customers and avoid items ending up in Spam/Junk mail.

Hi community, thanks for sharing your continued interest here. We appreciate the importance of having assurance that mail you send from Xero is being received, and that being able to send from your own company email would increase confidence in this process.
I can confirm this idea has been regularly reviewed by our product teams, and being able to send from your own company email is on their radar. Currently there are other priorities, and platform work that requires their attention, before they can consider this more deeply.
We'll move the idea back to submitted so we can continue to gauge the interest through votes here. When there is opportunity to pick this up, I will share any news with you all here.

Please take action, we missed an important order, the customer sent the order to messaging-service@post.xero.com and not to our organization.
Pretty Please!

Started in 2013, now nearly 2023, customers still not receiving emails sent by Xero,
Come on xero, why are we paying a premium price for a sub premium service........

Looks so unprofessional that my invoices don't come from me.
It also looks a bit dodgy (scam like) if receiver is not familiar with Xero and its process -

Xero Admin first shared this idea on June 27, 2013. Why do you have this product idea forum if you are not working to implement the ideas necessary for Xero to function appropriately?

What's the trigger to get this progressed, do we need to get so many votes or something?
It's crazy we can't have a more professional solution.

Clients often reply to emails by clicking on the senders address i.e. messaging-service@post.xero.com and not using "Reply to" feature. This means that a client thinks they have replied to us but we never receive it and they do not receive any kind of alert.
We really need the ability to display senders address as ***@company.com the same as reply to address to alleviate this problem. At the very least they should be warned that they have replied to wrong email address and to resend their email using the "Reply to" feature.
According to your customer ideas posts it would appear that this was first raised as a problem back in 2013 - any chance of a revisit?

This has caused us massive issues and cost us a lot of money! Why has this not been implimented already?

Urgently needed! A big problem at our company, with customers missing quotes and invoices etc.

I Agree, we have a lot of manual handling at present as the director wants everything to come from the company branding.

I also agree as my larger clients struggle to find quotes/invoices ect sent from my Xero account as they search for @my-business-name.com not knowing it's actually sent via a xero domain.

I agree this is a significant and urgent problem with clients missing the invoices sent, leading to frustration and wasted time of both client and our business.

Be able to amend the default email from a Xero email address to our own when sending out tax notices so that they are less likely to go to our client's junk folder.

Having many clients not receiving email becuase of this, meaning we spend extra time in calling clients chasing up invoices,

Urgency in implementing this idea is important. Sending commercial invoices to clients from 'messaging-service@post.xero.com' is HIGHLY unprofessional especially when you are emailing tech clients. Other software we are trialling already have this feature implemented.

Suggest this could be implemented as follows:
1. Using PHPmailer plus page to populate SMTP settings. Likely want to include Oauth. Some user education content about SPF, DKIM and DMarc will probably be necessary
2. Pop up window that populates a webmail email using credentials provided by users. This is fairly common in many SaaS services

This has been requested multiple times when the site was community.xero.com but since they have migrated over to productideas.xero.com they have all been removed!
We are desperate to be able to send emails via Microsoft 365, this should be a really simple thing for you to setup especially as you are already sending emails.
Please can you look at getting this basic feature request actioned.

Xero emails are not getting through customer spam filters, in our opinion this is an essential item

Please can this problem by prioritised as URGENT.
It is causing us to look very unprofessional when our emails appear to be coming from the wrong sender name and a name unrelated to our company??
This really should not be happening in 2022
Your quick action to correct this would be most appreciated.

SPF should be valid - especially if your getting spoofed all the time.
GET ON WITH IT - or we will use competitors which actually allow this

HURRY UP ALREADY you should be able to implement this its not hard.
If your need help let us know - we can do it in 5 mins. this is crazy that in 2022 and the amount of users you have you haven't done so.
there are planty of competitors that do so i'd hurry before they move onto better things...
