Email Settings - Ability to have separate reply-to email address
Ability to have separate ‘Reply-to’ email addresses within the same Xero organisation.
Purpose: Users can easily change the email address that they’d like to use when sending email from Xero, rather than having to go through settings to change it.
Hi everyone, we thoroughly appreciate your input and letting us know your appetite for being able to set the Reply to address for your Xero organisation, here in the idea. As many will have seen with new invoicing, our team have begun testing and making small change to the send experience. While we've been able to make these changes when developing other areas of Xero, we want to be upfront that we don't have a timeframe of when we'll upgrade the email settings page just yet, but this is something we will get to in time - when we do our team will also review the Reply to address options as part of this. So, though there is no movement to share on this just yet please know we will let you know here as soon as there is.

We like to send quotes from 'sales' and invoices and statements from 'accounts'. Since we started using Xero our work around is to send the quote emails from Xero email to our 'sales' mailbox and then forward from there, so its a bit of a fudge, too many clicks, different systems etc.
It would be good to have the ability to select the sender address directly in Xero, rather than use our 'fudge' workaround.

Yes please. All our invoicing comes from our Accounts email but I need to send my Quotes correspondence from another.

This feature would allow our sales staff to send Quotes using their individual email addresses (maintaining a neat chain of communication with the customer), whilst still allowing our central 'accounts' email address to be used for billing, statements etc. A no-brainer!

We converted three xero data files for three separate businesses into one file to use tracking. Only to discover we could not invoice from separate email addresses for each business. We now have to unwind everything and go back to the inconvenience and added cost of using three files. Not happy is an understatement.

I need payslips sent from payroll@. Payroll queries are going to my logged in email address and not seen by our other team members on my days off (I'm part time) this is a huge issue as pay issues need to be corrected urgently.

I agree that this would be a very good addition to the system, also when sending purchase orders it would be easier to send the order directly to the sales team. At the moment I print to file then send a separate email, which is a pain.

Xero this issue is causing major problems in the running of our company and is coming across as extremely unprofessional on our part.
If this isn't addressed in the near future we will have to look at another accounting software company that understands larger businesses' needs. -

I agree that if there is a general accounts email that this is somehow flagged as the main one (under main address in company in Xero) but in WFM where our invoices are generated and pushed through to Xero, the persons name is the one requesting the job. Also, the mills we work with have a different Statement email address to the invoices and this is sent out of Xero

Yes, we have the same issue, we would like all invoices to be sent from our invoices@ email address, rather than from the user's email address.
Also, it would also be far easier if the contact list could have a separate email address for each dept. so that ie. invoices could just be sent to acounts@ rather than to all the employees. It takes time and memory to delete each email address every time. -

This becomes a problem when someone else is sending out invoices for us, as the "send a copy to me" tick box then doesnt mean send a copy to me, but to them.
Can this be a generic email choice rather than "me" so that all invoices can be sent to a standard email address as a copy? -

Our sales team uses their direct email addresses when sending quotes. However, our invoicing team prefers that all invoices are sent from the accounts receivable email address rather than a direct email address. Is there a way to set it up so that the general accounts receivable email address we use is the default for all outgoing invoices but that the logged in users' email address is the default for everything else? Right now we have to go in and change it on a case by case basis when sending out invoices.
