Repeating Invoices - Day/Date placeholder option

in Recurring invoices, placeholders are essential to accurate and meaningful descriptions. Placeholders seem to currently only offer Week, Month & Year but not ‘Day’ or [DATE] or [TODAY]. (with the usual +/- feature). This would be hugely helpful for recurring daily or weekly invoices or for communicating a relevant billing period on a Monthly invoice (that differs from calendar months or calendar weeks) without having to manually update the date in description of every Repeated invoice. Currently more work is required and ALL repeating invoices need manual intervention before approval whereas if this could be automated Bills could be automatically approved and sent.

    We have approx. 180 repeating bills (purchase invoices) per month that we process on a self-billing basis. Whilst we use the placeholders available in the reference and descriptions of the repeating bill, it would be great if we could have a placeholder in the "Quantity" box that would automatically set that to the number of days in the calendar month.

    Currently, when there's not a 31-day month, we have to manually edit each individual invoice after it's been created and change the number of days, which takes the best part of a day to do.

    I'm sure such a feature would also be brilliant in Repeating Sales Invoices for those that raise monthly charges that are invoiced on a daily rate.

    Hi,

    We desperately need this feature too. Our invoices are issued on the first day of the following month for which services are rendered. The invoice reference contains the month of service. At the moment, we have to type the month manually every time.

    For example:

    Services are delivered in October 2023.
    Automatic invoice is created 01 November 2023. The reference should state October 2023. But the current placeholders do not allow [MONTH-1]. So we have to type the month manually.

    Please can this be addressed?

    Placeholders within Repeating Invoices:

    The ability to insert text and then a placeholder (like you do with page numbers in word processing documents). Eg. Period "1"

    It would be helpful to be able to have a due date or invoice date placeholder. This is helpful where billing for a period that ends on a day rather than Month or Year.

    Hi,

    Adding to Barbara's comment it would be very helpful to have a customized placeholder in order to a number a specific payment number/term number to the repeating invoice template, or as she suggested number x of y.

    You can do the Quaters by adding repeat every 4 months or yearly to repeat every 12 months.

    What would be nice is where invoices are in contract that you add number x of y.

    Invoice placeholders (repeating invoices)

    It would be an advantage to allow additional fields in the repeating invoice template, including future quarter(s) / year(s) or date ranges.

    Auto fill section such as «InvoiceDate» to the Description field of invoices and repeating invoices.
