  2. Statement by Contact - as same contact a bill payment and a customer.
    Statement needed for 'Contact"
    We really need to have statements for Contacts with a running balance. We use the same Contacts for bill payments and also for invoicing, and want to be able to send them a statement.
    We use Xero for several entities and all 3 have this issue.
    Please put this as a priority as it does not look professional sending the contact an account transaction listing - instead of an activity statement by Contact.

  3. We use Inventory Item Summary to keep track of all our vehicle servicing but this report will be gone from July, I have checked the new report but this does not provide the same information,
    We track servicing up to 48 months on items but this is not provided on the new report, can you amend the new report to include this information please as this is an integral part of our daily operations,

  4. Currently there is no functionality to add a line anywhere in the Journal. The current system of dragging a line from the bottom is absolutely inconvenient especially where the Journal is very long and we want to add a few lines in the beginning of the Journal.
    There should be one button 'insert a line function' (next to current curser location - meaning anywhere in the journal - Like F7 in SAGE).
    Also, to move to below line, we have to use mouse. Can it not be possible to use arrow keys to move up and down?

  5. I would like to be able to merge accounts (of the same type, ie expenses) to one account when there was two or more of the same account created.

    Example: Say you've converted from another accounting system, and there were sub-accounts that are all the same account - that you want to merge into one account. To be able to merge the accounts - without doing a Find and recode.

    Or, the client opened another expense account for something, and one already existed... to be able to merge the two would be a quicker solution instead of find and recode.

  6. I have a particular client where we use tracking categories. We have set up a tracking category called jobs so hours and expenses can be allocated to these jobs. However, errors occur, and it would be great to be able to reallocate find and recode just like you can do with other times to move those hours or expense from one job to another.

  7. I am on a customer page and it shows that they currently owe for two open invoices. I would like to be able to click on the button Open Invoices and have the option to receive payment for those open invoices without having to leave the customer page. Currently I have to go to 1. Business 2. invoices 3. Awaiting Payment 4. Scroll through ALL open invoices (no filter even?), 5. Select the invoices I want to receive payment on 6. Select Deposit. Why not just go straight to the customer's open invoices and receive payment?

  8. In Projects, it's vital that the employee who submitted expenses is shown on ALL Project reports.
    Why? Because at the moment, it's impossible for the Project Manager to check if all employees working on the project have submitted their expenses. It could also be that they HAVE added an expense but 'forgotten' to add the Project to it so it doesn't get included - because use of this this field is NOT mandatory in expenses.
    2. It would also be very helpful if the gross and net amounts are available in all reports. Again, for a Project manager, it's difficult…

  9. Have option to remove decimals entirely. I.e. Have no ability to input decimals and where calculations are done, e.g. VAT, to round off.

    Hi Brett, separate actions in them self but it is possible to Approve multiple invoices at once from the Draft tab. When actioned you'll see a message from which you can 'View invoices' and multi select to Email. 

    Being open this isn't something we have plans for right now - Is there a common scenario, or specific reason you'd like these actions as one? It'd be good detail to share back with the team. 

  12. Can we please extend the budget manager period from 12 months to more than 3 years or whatever is possible? The data in the budget manager does not go beyond 12 months and if the budget is to be changed after a year of upload it doesn't have such access.
    When working for a movie/film-making company the budget runs for more than 12 months and it needs to be changed time and again. But Xero doesn't have such an option which makes it impossible to get an accurate variance.
    It would be great help.

Currently there is no easy way to review the on/off status of invoice reminders for Customer unless they have an outstanding balance, and even then this is only on screen and not exportable, so either a way to filter the Customer list for those which have invoice reminders turned off, or just a report that can be run with a column for the reminders status (on/off and number of reminder sent) would be useful for better credit control review.

  15. For manual reconciling, the bank statement file can be generated using a CSV template and requires inputting details like the Date, Description, and Reference. However, users, especially those with high monthly transactions, may want to change/edit the descriptions after the file has been uploaded and reconciled.
    Currently, to do so, the bank statement needs to be deleted and re-uploaded, which means unreconciling previously reconciled items and repeating the entire process. If there are many to be amended, this process may need to be repeated multiple times. It would be beneficial if we could directly edit the contents of the bank…

  17. It would be great if we could pay our employees similar to how we can process a batch payment in XERO for bills. At the moment I am having to go into the bank account at the end and pay each employee individually.

    Is there another way to do this ? I may be missing something.

  18. Would be great if you could pay the IRD PAYE when you pay the employees in the same payroll batch. This is already a function with Flexitime Payhero and doesn’t rely on staff making the IRD PAYE payment manually. If Xero had this function there would never be any late IRD PAYE payments as its getting paid to IRD when the employees are paid.

  19. When creating an invoice for a customer and applying the “items” that were assigned to the customer it would be very helpful for Xero to apply all of the relevant information that was entered for the item to the invoice. Such as sales price, revenue account etc. Currently the billable expense information that is applied is the “cost price” only, which is not relevant on a customer invoice, and you must set the revenue account for each line item. All of the information is already entered in the inventory for the item.

  20. I want to track certain yearly expenses. I wish to put a limit to the expenses. When they reach the limit,I wish Xero can alert me. Eg Setting a limit on staff benefit per employee as $1,000. Once $1,000 is reached, a message can be sent to me.
