    Thanks Jay, so just to confirm are you saying you would want to give users access to just quotes and invoice, as well as reports and bank accounts?

    Appreciate there are lots of different subsets of permissions our customers would like to see. Understanding the feature sets will help our product teams understanding.

  2. Separation between Sales Tax/VAT/GST lock date and accounting period lock date.
    It would save a significant amount of time if VAT periods in Xero could have a separate lock date than the accounting period lock date. For instance, an invoice/bank transaction is still outstanding when filing a VAT return, and the VAT return date could be locked so once this outstanding transaction is completed at a later date, it would automatically appear on the next VAT return. This should be separated from the accounting period lock dates, as you still want to account for that transaction in it's relevant period,…

  3. On the Profit and Loss report there is no ability to show percentages, if tracking categories are used as a filter. We want to see COGS as a percentage of trading income, and Net Profit as a percentage of trading income.

  4. Ability to see Header rows and side columns on all screens when scrolling

    As per Microsoft Office where the top and side ribbons remains static.
    e.g. When you're in the Dashboard and scroll down it would be good if the top ribbon is static. It makes it easier to select another item (business; accounting; contact etc) without having to scroll up.

    The same with Bill Payments; Invoicing; reports etc where the top ribbon and column headers - see attached - would remain static as you scroll down the list.

    The same as when you might have a lot of columns…

  5. It would be useful if payslips could be scheduled to be posted to Xero Me on a date after the payroll is run. Eg you may run the payroll mid-month but want employees to be able to see their payslips on the date the payment is made at the end of the month.

  6. Add the 'Upload bills' feature as a widget on the Dashboard, for convenience.
    At present you have to navigate to 'Bills to pay', then from the 'New bill' dropdown, select 'Upload bills'. It's a great time saving feature, but seems tucked away, and would be great if right from the dashboard I could just drop bills, and invoices, ready to process later.

  7. Could you enhance customer accounts by automatically adding outstanding amounts from previous invoices to the next issued invoice as a separate line item called 'outstanding fees'? This ensures customers can pay the full amount due, not just the current invoice.

  9. The print date that now appears at the bottom of reports is useful for some reports and circumstances, and I understand this date is now turned off for Published Reports.

    However we do not 'publish' our financial statements - we send our financial statements to clients in a practical and informative pack instead. This is a more efficient, professional and streamlined approach for us.

    Showing the print date on these financial statements is of concern, due to various issues including the lag time between preparing and approving the report. It is also not ideal when preparing the directors resolution and…

    It's good to know the small changes that can make a difference to our customers. Thank you for all sharing with us on the idea, here. Our team are looking into a solution at the organisation level, that'd enable you to remove the Date from footer for all reports exported to PDF. While they explore this we'll move the idea to Under review and I'll be back to share more as this moves along.

  10. When a new invoice is created, have the reference number auto fill from saved data. Just like you can save what sales account and tax to use for a contact. I have customers that give me a blanket PO for the year and I use it on every invoice I create for them.

  11. It would be really useful to see the contact name on the History and Notes report.
    We use this report to track bank account changes but we also check newly added supplier bank account details. Seeing which contact each line relates to would help us group them and know if an 'Edited - Bank.....' relates to the same contact as a 'Created' so we don't need to go into each line

  13. Please instate bank feeds for ABN AMRO bank (the Netherlands). I joined Xero for its highly automated systems. Now I still have to download and import bank statements manually.

    It adds insult to injury for the fact I have to sign up to a premium plan to be able to account in a mere two currencies. For small traders like myself with low turn-overs and no need for the majority of features larger companies need, this feels deeply inappropriate and unfair. (another idea about this topic is already live elsewhere)

  14. I just want a simple report that show sales by customer with comparatives to previous financial years that agrees back to the sales on the profit & loss statement. Surely thats not too difficult??

    I am disappointed at the lack of decent sales reporting in Xero. Whilst I agree that Xero has many great features, their sales reporting is not one of them.

    The income by contact report does not work as it picks up all receive money transactions for all contacts, not just those in the sales accounts or for customers, so it is significantly different to the P&L.

    Thanks for submitting your idea on Xero Product Idea's, Dande. Have you tried the Income by Contact report? This report shows the contacts you’ve received money from over a chosen period, and includes both receive money and sales invoice amounts that have been entered for the contact. Or is there another way you're expecting this to be broken down?

    Hi team, just wanting to make sure we understand the idea correctly here. When you'd like a payment voucher - would this be for accounts payable or receivable?

    On the payables side, perhaps purchases orders could facilitate the record of this in Xero, and you can upload attachments to keep track of files related to a voucher. Alternatively, for accounts receivable, quotes maybe able to support what you're in need of here.

  16. We have multiple stripe accounts that we need to connect. It would be great to be able to add more than one strip payment processor that connects to two separate stripe IDs.

    Hi community, we value your engagement in product ideas here. As you may have seen we've recently rolled out a new send experience in new invoicing. 

    With this new side-by-side view you'll find you can also CC and BCC other emails 🎉

    While this feature is contained to new invoicing atm, we'll look at applying a similar experience to other areas of Xero that you can send from in the future, so we'll keep you updated of any further developments for this here. Thanks!

  20. Ability to change our PAYG Withholding period to weekly. Only options are None, Monthly or Quarterly. The ATO requires we lodge and pay PAYGW weekly now and this is not possible in Xero. We have to change our PAYGW period to None so that it does not show on the BAS and manually calculate, lodge and pay this weekly.
