  1. The witholding variation should be on top of the existing PAYG calculation not overrides it, as it currently does. If an employee completes a MyGov employee Tax Form and notes they want an additional % amount variation withheld - it should be on top of their existing PAYG tax, not instead of it. There is no other option to put in a percentage amount in XERO.

    Or allow the upward variation amount to be a percentage amount - not just a fixed amount.

    The screenshot attached shows this employee should be paying tax on the full amount (no threshold claimed)…

  2. To be able to 'pin' a note t the top of the client profile to see a note clearly.

    This note will continue to stay at the top of their activity to view easily.

  3. Why has this been removed? I genuinely can't understand any good reason for doing so from a Xero user perspective. Please reinstate as soon as possible! It is such a helpful, immediate visual tool to be able to qet a quick insight into a client, or suppliers, payment history and patterns of behaviour. It highlights immediately where there may be gaps and is something I (and others in our business) make use of on a daily basis. Additionally, as someone who benefits from visual learning, to completely take this option away is hugely disappointing. I'm now faced with a page…

    Hi all, if you hadn’t already spotted, the Money in/out graph is back 🎉

    It shows the cash in and out over last 12 months, and you can still mouse over the graph to show the actual amounts. The bars now have a minimum size for visibility! In the old graph depending on the difference in cash amounts the smaller bar would sometimes not be visible.

    With this updated version you can switch to a table view that was added for our accessibility users/ those who prefer seeing a table rather than a graph. You can also choose to show or hide the graph entirely, just use the overflow menu above - see screenshot for illustration.

    what I would like is a button on a support case which allows me to create a product idea linked to the support case, so i don't need to copy and paste the entire case history into the product idea

    Aah I see what you mean now, and appreciate you sharing more detail, Anna.

    In terms of the original idea, you can reply directly to the email update you received about the status if there is extra detail you'd like to share with the team - In this case I've merged your original idea with this one to keep the information all together.

    We don't have immediate plans for this, but will keep considering how we improve their efficiency when engaging and sharing feedback. We'll track the support here and share if there are any updates. Thanks

  5. I'd like the ability to remove the "Forwarded Bill" note from the Reference field on the Bills tabs.

    Purpose: to make the data on these tabs easier to view. All of our bills are input via the Email Bill to Xero functionality - this note therefore appears on every single bill and is not only redundant but makes the actual references / invoice numbers harder to read.

  6. In the Classic Invoicing, we could set a negative item amount which was useful to make it clear to clients that we had refunded something. It also corrected the stock levels in the inventory. In new Invoicing, you can set a negative financial amount but you are not allowed negative quantities, as such it is not clear and it messes up the stock inventory levels. You can do it via credit notes but this requires more things to be issued to clients etc.

  7. On the contacts page you can see the bills and the value, it will either appear with the value in the paid column or the due column unless it has been allocated against a credit. Any allocated credit notes and the invoices they have been allocated to appear as £0.00 in the paid and due column. Now as we have to allocate the credits in order to include them in a bulk payment (a completely pointless time consuming exercise still not addressed by XERO! but lets not get side tracked by another basic function missing) the fact the values are…

  8. Projects- Add date project is started in xero and the name of who started it. This will help us to be able to determine how many days a job took from order date to completion.
    We will also be able to tell who started the project if we need further information about it. Something like the 'History and Notes' in the Invoices, where there is a record of who generated the 'Project' and on what date and who makes changes along the way would be perfect. We currently have a project that we are not able to see…

  9. Create a Receivable and/or Payable Credit Note Report which lists all credit notes issued/received, and the corresponding invoice they are linked to. This will help as when a credit note is issued the status is 'paid', however if I want to do a review of invoices and days until invoice is paid, I want to be able to exclude items that have been credit noted.

    For now, the closest thing we have is to use the Receivable/Payable Invoice Detail (or Summary) reports.

    You can use the Filter option on Source, to only show credit notes. However, the existing reports don't show the invoices/bills they're allocated to.


    It's now up to the community to get behind and support it. Make sure you share your idea with any colleagues that this could benefit so they can add their vote too!

    Along with votes, other members can now comment to share additional detail about how your idea could improve their experience with Xero.

  10. We need a way to flag a transaction, either a sales, bill or account transaction that can then be pulled into a report for review before finalising BAS's etc.

    Whether that be a spend money that you are awaiting a Tax Invoice for, a bill that is in dispute, or a sales that need follow up.

    Could it be in the Bank Reconciliation menu where you can then pull the "discuss" notes into a report and the query notes could be there?

  11. Can we get the report pack to automatically update both the footer and compilation report, based on the page range for the statement of accounting policies and notes to the financial statements. We're currently doing this manually and it leaves room for error.

  16. EORI numbers are required for all European customers especially when invoicing/shipping goods. It is an extension of their VAT numbers. Please can XERO create a new field on the contacts for this. We are recording this currently in the new notes or "FAX" number so it shows quickly. Are Fax numbers still necessary?

  18. It would be useful to have some sort of 'notes' section within each bank account. We have several bank accounts for various purposes (mostly to use as 'savings' for various tax liabilities (for example, corporation tax, VAT etc)-but it would be useful, for managing cash and future liabilities to have a notes section to keep track of what is due and when, rather than having to do either run a VAT return or P+L every time I need to remind myself and how much needs to be put aside.

  19. In the Bills approved and awaiting to be paid - it would be good to have a field for notes. There may be a reason why the bill is being held or delayed and a note section here for additional information would make it easier for all involved to understand why a bill might be delayed from the current payment run.

    Hi Nerida, there is already a feature where you can add notes to bills.

    If you scroll to the bottom of the bill you'll find Add Note, which opens a text entry field for you to enter and save your note.


    It'll only be visible on that bill. Alternatively if the hold is for the contact, you could look to use the Notes field in the details of the Contact record. When you Edit the contact you'll be able to add notes that can be seen to the left of the contact record screen once saved. 😊

  20. Allow the contact's account number <ContactAccountNumber> to be included on Branding Theme invoices (and other documents).

    The <ContactAccountNumber> is allowed to be included on system default invoices.
