Bills - Payment method shown on Bills (DD, BACS)In ‘Bills Awaiting Payment’ it would be useful if you could assign (or at contact level) a payment method. Specifically so that anything due to be taken by DD isn’t inadvertently paid on a payment run. 187 votes

AU Payroll - Add all employee costs to the PayslipThe real cost of an employee is not shown on the payslip, even though things like Workcover, public liability, Qleave could be shown as percentages based on no of staff over a year. Eg $20k workcover is / staff/weeks of year/hours work this week or $200000 / 16 staff / 52 weeks and 200 hours worked = 0.12c per hour. Same could be shown for Public liability, and any other costs attributable to each staff member. Also showing all forms of leave accrued in $$ values as well as hours gives a clearer picture to the staff member how much they actually cost. Bills - Bulk assign tracking to multiple lines at a timeCould you please add a feature to fill a tracking category for every line in a bill or invoice? 
 I am dealing with multiple pages of line items on a bill and each bill belongs to different locations (tracking categories). Note that allocating the tracking category to the supplier account, won't work, because they deal with all our tracking locations. If we can add the tracking option once with an option to fill all the remaining lines, it will save us a lot of silly repetitive work. Currently, we have to type, select, tab, tab, tab, tab, and then repeat it for every single line item! Do this over a 40 to 50 line bill and then repeat this over multiple bills for different locations and you will quickly realise how painful this is.Could you please add a feature to fill a tracking category for every line in a bill or invoice?

It's important to note that it's not possible to undo a recode, so if you're unsure of how the features works at all we';d recommend trying it out in the demo company first.

Bills - Automatically create bill from finalised activity statementCurrently when paying activity statement obligations, you need to manually create a bill or split the payment to the various tax components. These amounts are already in the Activity Statement, so it would be useful to be able to create the bill from the finalised activity statement. This would help business to reconcile ATO payments, and to manage their cash flow as they can see when tax payments are due from their bills report. 9 votes

AU Payroll - Update historic tracking when Employee Group is changedIt would be a great addition to be able to allocate employees to a particular employee group and from this run historical employee summary reports by employee. At present when setting up tracking categories the tracking in employee reports will only track payruns once the employee groups are setup. Any historical payruns are not included. This makes it difficult to compare periods or look at employee group reports for the year to date. There should be an ability to apply the employee grouping tracking to all or some of the historical payruns. 11 votes

New invoicing - Enable ability to set a dynamic invoice date based on a fixed due dateI have invoices that have a fixed due date, e.g 4th of the month, and would like invoices to be generated, and dated, a fixed number of days (e.g. 7) before this. WHen it's not near the end of the month then setting the invoice date and the due date to be 7 days after is fine. The issue arises when the invoice dates cross a month boundary as the varying number of days in the month makes this awkward. I either need to accept a movement in the due date or set the due date to be fixed and a fixed invoice date and accept there may be more of less than 7 days between the two depending on the number of days in the month. What I would like to be able to do is set the due date as the 4th of the month and then set the invoice as "7 days before", this would be a really helpful feature! Batch Deposit - Reference to pull through to bank reconciliationWhen I enter a reference in batch deposit, this does not pull through to the bank reconciliation. On the bank reconciliation report, the Description is "Payment: multiple items" and the Reference field is blank. This is not useful as I have to go into each transaction and see which company the receipt has come from. Why enter a reference when it does not appear on the bank reconciliation report? When I try to search to match deposits using the company name, these deposits do not appear as the Description is unhelpful. If there are smaller batches which add up to a bank deposit amount, it takes ages to find them when reconciling. When I enter a reference in batch deposit, this does not pull through to the bank reconciliation. On the bank reconciliation report, the Description is "Payment: multiple items" and the Reference field is blank. Fixed Asset - Report CustomisationI would like to see the ability to customise the Fixed Asset Schedule. Currently it defaults to alphabetical order. In order for us to display the Fixed Asset types in a more logical order we need to name the fixed assets 1- Land, 2 - Buildings etc. We cannot add page breaks either which would be appreciated. We should be able to Edit the layout as we can with the other reports. 20 votes

Billable Expenses - Bulk updating of billable expensesI have around 100 billable expenses each month, I click on the 'Billable' in Expensify and that comes through to xero, but there are many that need to be entered into xero directly. 
 We need a report showing unbilled expenses where we can click on the items to mark them as billable in bulk, rather than line by line, which takes up a lot of time.24 votes

Reports - Add report to identify lapsed customers (include last invoice date column)We need a report that will give us a list of lapsed customers. We as a small business need to be in touch with customers who haven't had any transactions with us for 6 months or a year. It would be great to have a feature or report where we can easily find these customers. On our old accounting system, all of our customers had a " last invoice date" column so we could easily pull a report for any of these customers who hadn't been invoiced for 6 months or more. 7 votes

Quote - Copy Project through to Invoice created from a Projects quoteWhen creating an Invoice from a quote within Projects, the newly created invoice does not retain any connection to the Project that the quote is linked to. This is very annoying and time-consuming - as the only way to then link the Invoice to the Project is to manually select and assign every individual line item, one by one and map them against the project. Surely this is an easy fix to keep an Invoice linked to a project as the quote was? Why would you disassociate an invoice from a project that it directly relates to?? 22 votes

Xero Learning - Remove sequence recall questionsI recently encountered and failed a question about user invitation, which I have used many times without problem. Quite why the learning organisation has increasingly focused on sequence recall rather than book-keeping, is something of a mystery. Good software should be intuitive where there is no need to remember the exact order of clicking presented options. 1 vote

Xero accounting app: Download PDF invoice from mobile devicesMake an invoice pdf downloadable from a mobile device. I get invoices from a supplier via email but it's only viewable as a PDF on a desktop, this stops me from being able to send the invoice to Dext. 1 vote
