Reporting - Summary view of all bank account transactions with comments in the 'Discuss' tab
It'd be nice for there to be a 'Summary' view in Xero where the client can go to see and address all transactions with 'Discuss' comments.
It'd be nice to send the client a link directly to this view, or to be able to send a notification (with automated reminders) directly from Xero prompting the client to address these comments, WITH a link that takes them right to this view.
In this view, it'd be nice to...
(1) see which user posted each comment,
(2) be able to upload support directly into each transaction (which then stays with the transaction through reconciliation),
(3) be able to track the status of each transaction (with options to push it back to the client, or accept the comments & support), and

Payroll UK - Increase the number of employees from 200
Are you likely to increase the number of employees you can have in Xero to more than 200? We don't want to move from Xero but may have to if the numbers can't be increased.
4 votesHi team, while we appreciate you raising the idea here, the cap of processing payroll for 200 employees is to prevent any issues with your user experience - Going over this could slow down the payroll function, and create difficulties when you run payroll reports.
If you do need to process larger payrolls, we suggest taking a look at our third-party providers in the Xero app store that can serve your needs and handle larger payroll data.

Quote | History - View accepted by email/contact name
It would be helpful to be able to track who accepted a quote in the history and notes. The customer could have emailed the quote to another party within their organization who accepted the quote on their behalf and we have no way of showing accountability for this.

Invoices - Invoice Import Tax Default Option
When you import a tax invoice file you get to select when the invoice amount are either Tax Exclusive or Tax Inclusive.
The default radio button option is always set as Tax Exclusive.
It would be nice to be able to change this default setting so that the default option can be set to tax inclusive. I know it's a minor thing and while it might not save a lot of time, if all of your tax imports are GST inclusive, having the option to have this set as default so you don't have to remember to change it would be a wonderful addition.When you import a tax invoice file you get to select when the invoice amount are either Tax Exclusive or Tax Inclusive.

Bills - Show Bill payment reference
When suppliers are paid, the payment is given a reference, and this is then used to file paperwork. We can no longer see the payment reference when reviewing paid supplier invoices. Please bring this back.

Contacts - Add fields for Primary/Secondary/Other contacts

Thanks Grace - it would be great rather than editing and reentering information if there was a field titled "Primary Contact" and Secondary Contact for eg where we could just update that field using a drop-down box as opposed to re-entering customer information. It would definitely save a lot of time. Maybe something to add in the future?
PROCESS
I wanted to confirm that if I follow your instructions where I have 2 parties for eg Primary Contact = Grace Wife and other contact = Tom = Grace's Husband. If I wanted to make Tom = Grace's Husband, the primary contact - ie swap them around I would need to:1) Edit Grace and insert her husband's contact details ie Tom's info from scratch
2) Add Grace and her details as another/supplementary contact from scratch
3) Delete Tom's details under other contacts so he won't receive invoices twice.Is this process correct?
EXISTING INVOICES
Also, I wanted to check that the changes would be reflected in existing draft invoices for the clients or would I need to re-set all these up so that they were address to Tom as the new Primary contact?Thanks Suzanne

AU Payroll - Add Seasonal Worker option for income type/tax scale
Xero needs to have an option in either Income Type or Tax Scale for employees on the Seasonal Worker Program, ie PALM Workers, so that the system automatically taxes them at the flat rate of 15%.
At the moment I have approx 33 such employees and I must adjust their tax in every single payrun.
The ATO have a specific code (W > P) that should be used for these workers under STP Phase 2 reporting. UK Payroll - Automatically detect payroll payments during reconciliation

It is quiet difficult in Xero to find out wages payable error done because there is no system of matching wages payment with the payroll journal at the transaction allocation stage.
e.g. as we get the suggestions to allocate a payment received against an invoice, it should be similar with the wages.
If there is any over/under payment it will be detected at the transaction allocation stage as there won't be any matching payroll transaction existing. This feature is there in MYOB. This is the only reason where I find MYOB better than Xero.

Bank Reconciliation - Account Transaction / Bank Statements - Pagination at top of page
Instead of having to scroll through the account transactions / bank statements to get to the bottom in order to change the page number you are on. Either having this bar at the top as well or also having this bar move wiht you so you can always change the page as needed.

Sales invoices | Import - Option to create based on Customer Account number
Customer Name / Customer Account number - To import invoices the main criteria for the import file is the customer's name. We work with properties where the owner details change on a regular basis and we use the account number (which is also the erf number) to process invoices. Can a it be changed to give users the option to either use the account number or name as the main criteria for the import file instead of just using the account name.

AU Payroll - Assign hours worked from a timesheet to projects
At the moment I am adding employee costs (wages) into xero projects.
We have an option with bills to assign a project to that bill be awesome to be able to assign hours worked (with cost) to each of our projects in the timesheet section, and to set per line be good.
eg;
Monday project 1 - $250
Tuesday project 2 - $300

VAT late claims report
Hi,
Something that would be very helpful as an accountant, is the ability to run a report for a given date which shows all the transactions where the VAT was claimed/paid on a later return. I know that the VAT reconciliation report doesn't work with MTD.

For those that aren't already across, though manual at present you could run the Account Transactions report to manually reconcile against your filed VAT returns.
We appreciate the process could be more automated. Though this isn't something we have immediate change planned around atm, we'll update you here if there's any news.

Branding - Enable SKIPIF function in advanced DOCX templates
Please enable the Microsoft Word function SKIPIF for use in docx invoice templates. Currently, we can use the "IF" function in customized invoices to skip item records according to its ItemCode, but as noted by another user in the Microsoft Office discussion, a blank row will still appear for records that meet the filter test. Repeat template - Option to update template from Draft invoice
The repeating invoices that go to draft should have an option of saving for the next repeating invoice for that client. If you dont edit the invoice before it goes to draft eg: to increase an annual charge, then it does not save for the next time that repeating invoice comes up. Either that or give an option for a repeating invoice that has been delited to repeat again.

AU Payroll - Ability to remove leave types incorrectly assigned
Need to be able to remove a leave type for employees. Ie an employee is entitled to 4 weeks annual leave p.a.. They have renegotiated their contract and are now entitled to 5 weeks AL p.a. I've set up a new leave type to accrue 5 weeks p.a. for this employee and asked that they use this option when submitting future requests. I have changed the AL 4 week code to No Calculation for this employee, however it still appears as an option when they request leave. I would like to remove this as an option because they continually inadvertently select this type which puts it into negative.

Invoices - Add customer's ageing summary under their latest invoice
Including an aging summary of the respective client in the latest invoice would provide valuable insight and enhance the document's effectiveness.
We can always refer to statements in case details are required.

Invoicing - Add the Xero organisation name to the subject of emails sent from 'Ask a Question'
It would be super useful to add the xero organisation name to the subject line of emails sent from recipients of online invoices so firms with multiple xero organisations can see straight away, which xero organisation the contact belongs too, when they submit an email query via their online invoice link.

It would be great if the receipt analysis tool on expenses was able to identify weather a receipt is a VAT receipt or not based on the inclusion of a VAT number or a VAT amount itemised.

Reports - Automatically save CIS reports submitted to HMRC
Would it be possible to up date the CIS feature to have the reports that are filed through Xero to HMRC be automatically saved into the filed with HMRC section so that you can see the original return that was submitted if you have had to update it. Returns are not saved on HMRC if they are submitted through Xero.
