    Appreciate you sharing ideas from your own clients, David. It'd be great to know more of how this could help their business or the reasons why they'd like to see the post code in this report specifically. 

    Atm, if needing a full list of contacts and their post codes perhaps an export from Contacts would be of use. Thanks

  3. When editing a paid bill, for example, changing the VAT rate, where you have to Remove the Payment first before editing line items, could there be a function to Remove all Payments rather than one by one clicking remove and re-do.

    We often have bills paid in installments, or electricity bills paid by Direct Debit, so we have to remove 10 payments one by one in order to make any changes to the original bill.

  4. Bank Feed - During month-end we have more than 250 lines to import per day for the wages. The import function on Xero is for less than that per day, so we have to do some lines manually.. Will you please increase the import function on the lines per day?

  5. It would be nicer if the Tabs were Named "My Business" "Advisor" "Standard" "Draft" "Published" and "Archived" in that order so the default Tab would be custom reports for this business. Many users never look past the "Home" tab, and never see the custom Reports.

  6. We have just changed a lot of our clients over from MYOB where we could get supplier account numbers, IRD numbers etc in the bank feed details, and could then set bank rules for them based on the supplier account number or IRD no & tax type etc.

    With many transactions Xero gives us a lot less information. Often the supplier account number is missing, or IRD tax type & IRD number are missing - along with many other details. This makes using bank rules impossible for many transactions, and takes a lot longer to reconcile manually as we have…

  7. I refer to the Customer/Supplier Bill Activity reports which shows transactions as positive and negative figures. Could you *** create a report to show bill activity in Debit & Credit separate columns format instead of positive and negative figures in 1 column? Thank you

  8. When doing a catch up job it takes forever to have to click into each pay run then back into pay employees and repeat. It would be great to be able to tick each one on the payroll > pay employees screen and then submit all at once.

  9. When I post an expense through to a project, for some reason it limits it to 100 characters, which pretty much makes it un-useable for me.
    This is annoying, as I was just thinking how handy the projects app is, but now all the "projects" I've set up are basically a waste of time as I need the extra detail on my invoices.
    Please can you change this?

  10. I need to create an invoice template that has free typing for the customer and address. We often have customers visit that are not our usual customers. We dont want to create a new customer every time someone comes in the door. We will allocate to Works (set up as a cutomer) but need a box to free type their boat name, address ect.

    Hi Andy, from your description it sounds like you may need to hold and track details of these sort of customers for a limited time? As you've found to do that atm you would need to create a new contact record. However, to keep things tidy you could look at adding a generic term or character at the start of the contact name and merging or archiving these every so often so you don't have too many contacts listed in your org? 

    While we'll get a sense of the interest surrounding this on the idea here I want to be open that we don't have plans for this sort of thing any time soon. 

  11. Add a "not" argument to bank rules to allow for a greater control

    e.g. bank text does not contain "example" or, amount isn't "x.xx"

  12. Roster Board for Employee Shift Management.

    A scheduling /roster to show employee shifts. That then can be reconciled against the timesheets submitted. The ability to also send the weekly/fortnighly schedule roster to each employee - or have them be able to view it on the Xero Me app. Have a clock in clock out feature on the Xero Me App to record when a shift starts and ends.

  13. Our clients would like the option to show reconciled and uncoded options on the same uncoded items report. Moving from MYOB/Banklink they are used to reviewing all transactions and having the ability to add notes for us to then code and add in the accounting software. We have many clients who fill in this form for us to then enter into the software and at present then only way to show this is running a bank reconciliation report.

    Appreciate familiarity to the way your clients may have worked with another system. 

    As noted in the initial idea while there's specifically a report for uncoded statement lines, the Bank Reconciliation report will provide a list of all statement lines (coded and uncoded) - Is there something missing within this report that you're looking for in this?

  14. Is it possible to introduce a spending cap in the Xero based on the agreed/ set budget for each expense line to prevent incurring costs above the agreed/ authorised budget?

    If the functionality is in place, raising a purchase order that will take the cost over the authorise budget should not be possible. Better still, if this functionality can be introduced, can it also be implemented at the tracking category level.

    Hi Brice, to confirm this isn't something that exists at present. 

    Right now, there's the ability to set a credit Limit at a customer level but not on a supplier side of things. We have an idea for this here, but appreciate what you're asking based on the budget comparative is a little different and I'll leave this idea separate so we can track he interest in each. 

    Welcome to add your support to the other idea if that's something you'd like to see too.  

  15. We are a small consultancy firm and we do work for customers for multiple sites. We set up our projects where each task is a separate site. We need to be able to search for these tasks but the search option only allows searching at a project level. Can you please update the functionality to be able to search based on task name?

  16. When printing newly created checks it would be nice to have the ability to easily select all for just those new checks by marking all previously printed checks as having already been printed instead of either having to check the box next to each check you want to print or by doing a search by date (if you print checks once daily) to be able to then select all to print.

Standard invoice template should allow users to remove company name and or address within the tick box options - so that those printing on headed paper (containing pre printed logo and name and address of co) can adapt standard invoice easily and don't require advanced work of docx custom invoice to achieve name and address removal

  18. It would be extremely useful to be able to either
    1. export the main data from all purchase orders / or
    2. be able to make up a custom report

    Ie: Supplier, date / reference / ETA / Salesperson / dollar / Revenue identity etc.
    Used For: Sales team, Customer order ETA's etc

  20. We are a multi-currency business. We send out invoices in GBP (base currency), EUR and USD. We have 3 bank accounts (GBP, EUR, USD. I therefore had to create separate invoice templates for each currency, to show the correct bank details. I added the relevant invoice theme when setting up a new contact (customer). This works well when raising an invoice. However when manually sending out a statement it does not take the invoice theme from the one chosen on the invoice (= in our case normally default invoice theme on contact).
